Just made a batch of fudge... BURNED my fingertips, and in a frantic effort to get burning fudge off my fingers, I stuck them in my mouth. So now my fingers AND my mouth are burned. Woe! Woe to me...

Rules for a first and second degree burns.

Run the burned area under cool water for about 10 minutes. You want to bring the burned area back to body temperature. The point is to STOP the burn, not SET it. Aloe or No More Burnies (a kids salve) is best.

*Don't ice it.

*Don't put butter on it.

*Unless it's open, don't cover it.

*Don't pop the blister. Let it open on its own, then apply an antibacterial salve or creme.

*If in 2 days it's not better, go to the doctor.

Putting your fingers in a bowl of ice and water, I know, it's going to be cold, but that will lessen the pain and also the hot molecules don't get so caught up in the skin. I see this 20 minutes happened ago, but, I would still do it. :)

Why not ice it?

Why 'cool' water and not 'cold' water?

Just asking duchessaim :)

I'm not a crier, but I feel like crying.

I don't think I'm supposed to feel this depressed after doing praise and worship.

I need sleep. Or to read a book. Or both.

I don't know!!

Why are people so....so...I don't know!!

People are making me eye-twitchin' crazy over here.

...I think a book would be better. I don't sleep well anyways.
I'm so sorry to hear you feeling so sad. Cast all your care on him little sister :)
I hope God comforts your heart and mind and you sleep well tonight.

We once had a litter of cats and I am not sure why it happened this way but my mom was a nurse and my mom's friend was trusting her. And, I'm guessing, it's hard to tell male cat from female for some people. Anyway, my mom told my friend that she had a cat, er, kitten left of the litter and that it was a male cat.

Weeel, it turned out to be a female cat and she ended up having a litter of kittens that ended up running around everywhere on their property.

Wait. What? Finger... as in singular? You a one finger typer? Say it ain't so.
I kid. I kid.

I mean, I do need that finger to type. But I use all the other fingers too. There's no way I could be so wordy on here if I didn't type like a boss. Haha.

Thanks all for the advice! I did the water thing. I'll survive. It's just very tender now. *sniff*

Lil - hang in there! Be confident, push yourself into people's conversations... before you know it, they will be trying to get in on YOUR conversations. Are there any teens at youth who also look like they are on the edge of the crowd? Maybe they need friends. You are sweet, smart and LOVED!

My cat plays fetch with the ring off of milk gallons. We have a few of them saved up, because they inevitably disappear under the couch or some shelf.

I am sitting in the lounge chair in my living room and she walks up to me, milk ring in her mouth, drops it at my feet, and looks up expectantly, waiting for me to throw it. I can't say no to her adorableness.

She used to bring it up to my room, jump on my bed, and drop it on my face in the morning. I'm glad she doesn't do that anymore.

I just got home from a performance that I'm really proud of, and I'm still kinda on an adrenaline rush. :) My duet partner and I performed the two-piano versio of the famous "Jupiter", from the Planets Suite by Holst. As far as duets go, this is the most massive work I've ever attempted, and we worked on it for 4 months. :3

I do have a video of the performance, but it's on a DVD and I'm having a hard time getting the file off of it so I can share it. I was hoping to put it on YouTube so my dad can see it in the Philippines.

So, in the absence of a video, here's a picture. :)

Grace, just to make you feel better, I once got a cactus needle stuck in my finger. What did I do? Stuck my finger in my mouth. Where did the cactus needle end up? Yep....in my tongue.

Bet you feel a whole lot smarter now, don't you? :)
