Let's see if this gets things going...

What technology have you expected that would be available now but isn't?

-A gel that would be the equivalent of getting one of those REALLY long freezing needles stabbed into your gums at the dentist.

Head mounted displays with head tracking.

During the 90's Virtual Reality was a huge buzz word, and there were a few companies taking it from the battlefield to the living room, but for a grand, it was just too much to stomach, and computers of the time couldn't render two 3d images at the same time with a quality high enough that was truly immersive.

Although technically, the Occulus Rift may change that very soon, and Sony has a HMD on the market now, and Nvidia is considering it. So, it may finally be coming.

We actually have the technical ability to make them with magnetic propulsion........the problem is the power source. It takes TONS of power to use maglev technology with any significant amount of weight attached.

Mykim, that... probably should have been phrased differently.

Like just say robotic woman, at which point we'll all tell you you're too worried about only one aspect of it, and when you fix that one issue, the rest of it will eventually fall into place. It may take some time, but things do eventually look up.

Sad it costs more to buy things than it does to make them. Maybe, I'll just stick to riding a horse.

Considering your luck with butter knives, falling down and babies around cat food, are you sure those such a good idea for you?

They're working on getting the automated cars out. Driving themselves. If we're only that far, then i'm sure we have a long ways to go for flying cars.

My daughter and I were just talking last night about what movies will be like in 30 years. I think it'd be very cool to be IN the movie via 360 degree 3D holograms. The killer really could sneak up behind you then.

Yeah but I don't know that beating up a hologram has the same fun factor as breaking the legs of an actual killer. You're not taking a creeper out of circulation or anything.

Plus what if a real killer went to the movie, you might think it was part of the movie.
