I've not been here long enough to know if this is a cycle that the forum goes through once in a while, or a result of the holidays, or what. Maybe trolls run through in herds, like Walkers? Maybe a lot of people are just naturally more miserable during the holidays. I'm going to make a point NOT to engage in any obvious-troll posts or comments.

I don't know any trolls on here , but arguing i have notice. It is something common in the christian life, even Paul & Barnabas which God himself set apart to do his work disagree at some points.

I was going to take a more passive approach and quit CC until the trolls are either banned.... or stop posting.
But your idea is good too.
I think a better passive approach is for people to stop posting on the troublemakers' threads, even if you mean well. It's not working because help is not wanted. What's happening is gender bashing, pure and simple, on a level akin to road rage. We had the same thing happen for a long time re: certain sexual issues until the poster was finally banned.
arwen is correct in saying that we need to replace the junk threads with more uplifting/edifying/fun ones.
