We know about throwing out law, does the law have anything good about it??

the Scriptures actually do talk about a Sabbath change, but it is donr by evil people and has nothing to do with the Messiah, more of an anti-Messiah thing

Lucky God is full of mercy and willing to take us back when we repent.

Moses stretched his staff over the Red Sea because God told him to. Did God need Moses to do this for the Sea to part ? No but some effort is required from us. God does not need us to follow the law to be saved but we still need to do our part.

Of course we try our best, but our best isn't good enough and never will be. Only our faith in the work of the cross will give us the righteousness that God requires. We must never place our faith in our own works ( which is a filthy rag) but what was done for us on the cross. The cross gives the Holy Spirit the legal right to produce in us good works as we allow Him to do so. Paul called it the new man, the old man loved sin, rolled in it like a pug to slop. The new man longs for the ways of God. Look at David in the Psalms Lord create in me a new heart and teach me your ways, I long for you as a deer pants for water. This is the Holt Spirit at work in our soul made possible by the cross and our faith in it.

David had the law. He did his best to obey it and yet he failed. He was a murder an adultery and numbered the people against Gods will. But, this was a man after God's own heart. God promised this man that he would have a son to sit on the throne of Israel forever. Why, because his faith was in the redeemer and that is to say the cross.

He followed through with sacrifice according to the law. Sins are not forgiven without the shedding of blood. The love of God has always provided a way for atonement in the Old Testament, and and finalized it by remission through Christ Jesus.

This scripture is true, yet we shouldn't use it to say the other covenants have been broken. He made a covenant with Noah, and we are still experiencing that covenant today. Genesis 8:22 (KJV)
