Sadly, I know what you mean. I have been mistreated by "Christian" men in ways that would make me totally justified in becoming a man-hating, lesbian atheist. Thankfully, I haven't fallen off that ledge as of yet.

It took a while for me to forgive my abuser, my rapist, and others who just used me in other ways. But the Lord is performing a healing work in me. I don't automatically think every man is out to hurt me any more, but it does take a while for me to allow myself to be vulnerable with them.
yeah like I said, im not a women hater, I am very distrustful of them. Our past forms how we become.

Why? Because Asian women are so much more feminine, sweeter and warmer than western woman currently are or ever will be in the foreseeable future.
...

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

*sigh* I'm sorry.

I'm an Asian-American woman, raised by an Asian woman, with a LOT of Asian aunts/cousins/etc.

They aren't called "dragon ladies" for nothing...

How do I put this tactfully... she believes in biblical submission because of her relationship with Christ.. but um.. my dad knows she is NOT to be trifled with. o.o

This hasn't been my experience. So if this is the case are they the same as or worse then western women?

Dude - - No. Just. No.

If you want to compare how women are different across different regions and cultures, that's fine. But when you assign "good" and "bad" values, that's when you are nearing that racist border.

Oh right. It's still a cultural difference if you ask me and nothing to do with race. Everybody is bad both women and men from all races and cultures. One person has said that my point is that Asian women are better. If that person wants to infer that then fine. My point is that western women were in fact all those things I described but have moved away from this in the last two or three generations. Why? A number of factors but at the end of the day it is what it is. There must be another explanation as to why men are increasingly going for Asian women.

Well, though I was being very honest, I was also trying to lighten the mood a bit. :) I hope no one who read my post thought I meant that Asian women are horrid creatures.

Everyone has their flaws. Cultural differences/stereotypes have a tendency to skew our perception of these flaws. There's also the tendency to be intrigued by that which is unfamiliar ("the grass is greener on the other side"). It's hard for me to tell you whether they are better, the same, or worse than western women because my perspective is extremely different than yours. Also, though I have nothing against having preferences in terms of attraction (ie: I tend to find women of _____ ethic background attractive) I don't think it's right to say that one particular ethnic group is any better or worse than another. Here you are entering dangerous territory of attaching a woman's worth to her ethnic background. There may be cultural tendencies.. but those are tendencies and do not represent every individual. Going through life with a goal of marrying an Asian woman simply because you think asian women are "better" than western women may well rob you of the opportunity to notice a western woman who is feminine, sweet, and warm.

*sigh* that said, I'm going to share a personal observation with you that might satisfy your question. Please keep in mind everything I said above about cultural differences/perceptions/tendencies, though.

To be quite frank, when I compare my asian aunts with my western aunts (I probably shouldn't do that.. but growing up I couldn't help it), I see the most gentleness and sweetness coming from my western aunts, and I tend to look to them as my role models of femininity. When it comes to YOUNGER girls, such as my 15-25 year old female cousins, the opposite is true. My filipino cousins are the picture of sweetness and gentleness, whereas my white cousins probably don't know what "submissive" means. I don't know what the deal is. Maybe it's a generational thing.

My point: please don't rule out all western women as being boorish and masculine, and don't be fooled into thinking all Asian women are sugar, spice, and everything nice. :)

I wish you the best, brother, and I hope you do not feel condemned by my long-winded response. I believe you mean well, and I was just trying my best to offer what insight I could. God bless. :)

[To everyone else, I'm sorry for dragging out the topic, but I felt this needed to be said]

Well I haven't seen a western woman being feminine, sweet, and warm for a long long time so.

My actual point is that Asian women know how to be women and treat a guy with respect. Western women are entirely capable of this but they just don't. It's all about complementing a guy rather than being a curse.

I understand that everybody has flaws no matter where you're from. I'm just old enough to notice a shift.

I have no intention of being married. If I did I wouldn't care where that woman was from as long as she was womanly. Suffice it to say the recent census (delayed coz the Christchurch earthquakes) has said the marriage rate is the lowest since 1970 something and we also have one of the lowest birth rates in the OECD and the highest incidence of child abuse anywhere.

The irony of all this is that an Asian told me about this forum and yes we're still in contact.

Jesus loves you no matter what culture you are from. :) His opinion is the only one that matters in the end. Not random internet people. God does not expect us to act like a certain culture or generation in order to gain His favor. It's what is in your heart that counts.

well I see his point, he *could* have worded it a bit better. but it is what it is. point is still valid.

I have been treated much better by non-western women, then I have by western women. I have NEVER had a non-western women call me ugly, worthless, idiot,i should suicide, never going to matter, never going to be worth anything. Yet I have heard those words many many many times by westernized women.
Precisely wisebeardman!!

Yes I could've worded it better but it's too late now.

Well I said this because at work a young lady started talking to me with absolutely no signals from me. She looks at me a lot too and I caught her staring one time when I was playing candy crush. The first time I talked to her she had the deep look in her eyes like looking into my soul.

Now last week she was talking to somebody in the kitchen (the only place she talks to me coz we don't work together) about Christmas presents and I'm sure said I'm going to get my boyfriend a shirt.

I was disgusted. If she ever expected me to ask her out it's not a done deal done dealio. She isn't likely to be a Christian anyway but I could be wrong.

That's why I mentioned deceitful body language.
Yes brother, that is disgusting. It makes me very sad, but there is alot of women like this, and even Christian women that I've met. These women aren't as faithful to their own boyfriends as they expect them to be, and I've been in church with somebody's girlfriend staring at other guys.

And there are some crazy Christians that believe that stealing or even going after another guy's girl is acceptable! Not for this guy! Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. Let her be faithful to the man she's chosen.

I wouldn't make the first move. I'm not gonna chase him around. If he wants to talk to me or go out with me, he'll figure out how to make that happen. If he doesn't i wouldn't want to date him anyways. I don't do the whole ''oh i'm to much of a chicken to talk to or ask a girl out'' I prefer guys who are assertive.
Sure sure. :p

Oh have we?

More like nothing further to say. You can't explain how I was sexist?

Assertiveness is a way of dealing with aggressive people. Is nodmyheadlikeyeah implying that women are aggressive and therefore perhaps difficult to approach?

See previous posts.

and...where are these pearls you speak of?
They have nothing, brother. I know what these people can be like. They're very conceited.

Judge women no, distrust women yes I do. think boy who cried wolf, you get burned enough times you will quit believeing anything people say. women have burned me enough I don't believe what they say. Quite honestly. if one came to me in person today and was all nicey nice to me my first though will be she is trying to scam me out of something. cause women have not been nice to me in life.

And before someone says something about here/online. I don't count anything online as real cause when I click the "X" in the upper right corner it don't exist anymore till I open a browser, type url and press enter again.
Reminds me of the Scripture: Give not thy strength unto women.
