I like every post, here, and they are almost all truth. But I would like to think about actually healing our bodies when they get sick. I think that it is often possible, when it fits with the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven.
I had a child who doctors sais could not live when she was a newborn, but I am sure that because of prayer, God let her be with me for 21 wonderful years.
My son smoked and drank, and is now dying of cancer, and I believe that it is part of the spiritual truth of how our world works. Many prayers for him are not helping, even though he devoted his life, other than those two things, to working for the Lord.
Many people bring on illness through disobeying Phil 4:8. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
God just cured me of a terrible case of eczema,I couldn't sleep and my arms and legs were a mass of sores. I used my finger on an outbreak as the red painful sores started, so to direct God's healing power to that spot. I still sometimes get outbreaks, but by directing God's power to the spot, each time it goes away.
I don't understand any of this, really. I don't know why Paul had something wrong with his body, and God did not heal it. I don't know why we aren't all born with perfect bodies when God only wants goodness for us. But I do know that healing is helped when we respect foods and don't try to improve or change them from how God designed them. And we can surround our imperfections with God's love and it works to cure.
