i have depressive episode started 2 days ago on fri night
have been thinking suicidal thoughts during the night trouble sleeping
considering admittance to hospital tomorrow or boxing day

Do not consider, go.

God claimed you long before you claimed Him, He knew you would come to Him. When you felt like you were walking alone you were not, now He is very clearly with you.

You now have a Christian family including me. I will pray and hope that the wisdom of the holy spirit will allow you to comply and go to the hospital.

We love you.

Go to the Hospital!!! Your life is precious & know that Jesus is with you!!! Everything will be alright!!!

What are you hanging on for..I live in Canada too and health care is free.

Hey maurissio, I was diagnosed with major depression and anxiety when I was 12 and still have bouts where I struggle to cope. There's no shame in admitting you're not okay and needing help. I've been at that point myself. I believe God gives us the tools to battle things like depression such as antidepressants, psychologists etc. Please take advantage if your free health care and reach out to those tools. I know it's tough and things seem so bleak. Just hold on and know you aren't alone.

Yes. Go now. If you feel you may not make it then what are you waiting for?

Hey, Maurissio! Welcome to CC.
So sorry to hear of your despondency. Try meditating on the 23 Psalm. God bless you. :)

wow, what drove u to that thoughts. I really would love to chat with u

go to the e.r. if you need emergency help and can't make it to the mental hospital.

go - and please get a psychiatrist to work with and get some help with medication and counseling and/or therapist.

it's okay to be on meds. some of us need them.
get support, keep reaching out in all directions,
i was where you are... but i have made a promise to God, myself, and my family/pets that i won't choose that option.

please get help, right away.

then come back and keep us up to date and let us know what is going on and how you're doing.

the e.r. and the mental hospital have both helped me when i needed them.
the people at the e.r. i go to were amazing.

some cc members helped me through some intense depression very recently, i took their advice and one was even kind enough to keep tabs with me. i am doing much better right now, and also on the anti-depressant wellbutrin which seems to work the best out of all of them for me.

things are steadily getting better. it took just over a month to really start feeling the affects, almost 2 mo.'s
it's been worth it, and things are looking up and feeling much better. worlds.

i am so glad i reached out here and was urged to seek help from professionals. it has made a big difference.

Hey there. I know I messaged you before, but I just wanted to say that there is not shame in being hospitalized for something like this. It's by all means a serious issue. I'm praying for you.

I would go to a caring church about this, maybe they can pray for you and give you encouragement, at the hospital they will give you medication but it depends on the situation, there are churches that might be able to help you if it is situational. I have found listening to a preaching of the Gospel brings me joy in times of depression it is very powerful, but then again it could be a mental illness, go to your church with it they might be able to help.

You say you are a new Christian and fighting depression then I can tell you my friend that satan is doing his level best to keep you from going any further with Christ. He wants you to take your own life where there is no turning back. Satan wants you to dwell on your circumstances taking your eyes off Christ. It is when you begin to sink in the lake of despair that you need to seek the Lord.

God can use your circumstances for His glory and I know this from experience. I am a disabled veteran (amputee) had cancer, lost everything I owned, three of my children died and my wife of 29 years left me. I am a typical Job story but God has never left me. I am no pious saint and I know it is difficult. Your enemy prowls around like a lion waiting to pounce on you because your eyes are on your troubles and not on Christ. Take your own life and satan wins and you lose.

Pray always pray all ways. Do not let that devil win. Fight the good fight stay strong. Pkease do not give in to satan he is miserable and wants to take you with him. Jeremiah 29:11-13. God loves you. You are His child he wants peace for you. If it gets tough send me a message. Dont try this alone you God and an army behind you on this.
