if Israel really "controlled" Jerusalem, there wouldn't be a mosque sitting on the temple mount. current day Israel is by no means the full restoration.

Really because it is those who are beheaded during the tribulation specifically who reign with Christ for a 1000 years, not a bunch of luke warm feel gooders who get raptured before the trib.
