Thanks! Yes, you would truly know my pain! lol. Yeah its the Wind Chill that's killing us. We've been getting down close to -50 Celsius a few nights in the past month. Snow has just been cleared off the main streets from the last snow storm, and now we're suppose to get another 10cm overnight. Do you get a lot of snow up there?
We sure do! It definitely varies from year to year. This year has been about average, but we just got more snow last night. Last winter Anchorage broke the long-standing record for BOTH amount of snow AND length of the snowfall season. -.- Over 11 feet, and our last snowfall wasn't until May 18th :p

Also, huge hugs to everyone who has reached out with love and support over the past couple days. I don't want to constantly dump all my problems here, but knowing that people care and are eager to pray really means a lot. I feel like I've been showered with the love of Christ. Thank you. <3

My goodness! Impossible to commute anywhere, except for snowmobile and snowshoe I bet!
We were pretty much shut in our houses. Thankfully Anchorage has an incredible fleet of snow plows, so we were able to get somewhat functional within a few days. The same couldn't be said for some of the smaller communities.

Did you go sliding off your roof? That would make an awesome hill :)

...not gonna lie, that was a tempting thought. However, that much snow on a roof causes severe concern for roof collapse, sooo we had to resist temptation to avoid making it worse. :p

This makes perfect sense to me MissCris, and I can relate to it. I tend to be a caring person. Therefore I exhaust myself trying to give to other people and often, broken people gravitate toward me for that reason. But some people are like black holes... all the giving goes in, and nothing ever comes back out. I think there's a delicate balance in how much we can give those people. Not because we don't care about them, but because we have to protect ourselves from being emptied completely and losing the very spark that we are trying to feed them. We can't MAKE people feel happiness or joy or contentment.

There are also hurting people in the world who DO give back, in spite of their own pain. Those people are amazing.
I can relate. I am one of those broken people, and sometimes i feel so broken i think i may never function right again. But i manage to get up every day. And i try to help people. I try to grow. Like now i'm trying to learn to be encouraging. Its not a trait i have naturally, but over the past few years its been something i've been trying to work on. To be less critical of peoples faults and more encouraging of the good in them. I think i've come a long way.
I always approach things and people with a good intent, to be helpful. Sometimes my brokenness interferes. Or causes me to do things wrong, or not know what to do at all. It gets in my way and ruins all the good i try to do. Its something i try to be aware of, to keep in check, to change, but being in a constant state of growth some days i can do it, and some days i cannot. All i can do is hope that those people that i give so much to can look past my faults and not hold them against me and instead recognize all the good i try to put into them or what i say. After all, i'm looking past theirs.

I sat around in my sweat pants all day eating gummy bears and drinking mineral water .Clear gummy bears are awesome! What flavor is clear? Remember when Pepsi came out with Pepsi clear? It was gross and didn't last long. I think the gummies have taken over my brain!

You know you're alone when none of your friends are on facebook, there's no one to call, and the house is quiet and cold.... Really want my snuggle buddy right now

Yanno what Jen...I dunno. I was thinking about this..ummm...like waaaay after I posted my gummi bear post and ummm it may be "tropical"..the thing is..I feel very un-manly now going back & reading said post. LOL

I dunno about Pepsi. I'm not a Mainer. These people here worship Pepsi. Personally,if I am going to destroy my inner self with a carbonated beverage of the cola-esque food group I can Haz Coke!

Pepsi is too sweet & tastes like...ummm...*censored by admin*
lol ( ok,I self-censored myself )

So where am I going with all this? Oh yeah...ummm It's stinkin' cold out. I need either an awesome girlfriend who will share her comforter with me w/out objectifying me. (I enrolled in classes taught by Descyple on how to be a stud muffin in 7 easy steps) OR I need an awesomely chunky pit bull or bull dog named Sweet Potato that will sit on me & snore, thus producing significant body heat so mine can shut down.

Yeah...umm..ok...I so need to stop posting tonight.
(goes back to watching Linkin Park videos)
p.s. stop judging me for liking them :p

honestly, I've been feeling kind of down today. >.< But maybe it's just today I started with the whole refined sugar detox thing. I did pretty good today, to be honest. I'm just gonna have to figure things out a little better. Plan farther ahead and stuff.
