*reads question and scratches head*

When does this rapture happen? If this rapture was to happen, are you saying that people have an option to go or stay?

I believe in Post-trib, that we are going to be here through the tribulation and then Christ will come in glory.

I would like to stay behind, maybe save save a couple of more people till I get my head chopped...

just a question if it happens and your standing before Christ and have the option to stay and save souls and fight evil would you, also knowing there is a good chance you will meet your death fighting that fight.

would it be right to stay and fight evil and help the lost after the rapture?

Are you advocating taking up arms, or helping people put food on the table?

The former is the kind of thing you read on say, Infowars, and it causes legislators and the unsaved a lot of anxiety. Advocating it actually places others' ability to do the latter at risk.

Flee to the wilderness, eat tasty animals.

Yeah, I never understood why someone would want to leave this earth at a time when Christians would be needed more than ever. Someone's gotta warn people about that pesky mark, and about Christ's then imminent (less than 7 years away) return.

Pre tib rapture is a theory that Jesus' words clearly refute. Sorry; Truth may not always be popular, but it's always right.

Matthew 24:29-31 (KJV)

[SUP]29 [/SUP]Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
[SUP]30 [/SUP]And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
[SUP]31 [/SUP]And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Mark 13:24-27 (KJV)
[SUP]24 [/SUP]But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
[SUP]25 [/SUP]And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
[SUP]27 [/SUP]And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (KJV)
[SUP]13 [/SUP]But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

1 Corinthians 15:51-54 (KJV)
[SUP]51 [/SUP]Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
[SUP]52 [/SUP]In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
[SUP]53 [/SUP]For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
[SUP]54 [/SUP]So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

Don't forget 2 Thessalonians 2 :)

Good point. glad you brought that up.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 (KJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
[SUP]2 [/SUP]That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

I think the "falling away" has been growing and manifesting itself for about 44 to 46 years now. The falling had to be something that was once close, and now going down hill. It's the church, ya think?

its just a fun question guess its got to be would you fight will all your heart the evil at the end of days and life up and speak the word knowing you would die, i ask because my church and allot of the churches i have seen(i'm on a cross country mission trip lots of church visits) do not show this spirit.

Well speaking the truth and fighting are two different things are they not?

But I would confess Christ even if it meant my death.

To take up arms? No, I don't think so. If we say we have faith in God...and then take up arms and kill...I think that we would be showing more faith in Smith & Wesson...than God. But, hey...that's just me.

I'm not sure how this 'falling away' is happening now. I mean I'm not huge on church history but in the last 100 years or so, haven't we been breaking away from the pious Catholic-Anglican hold the church has been under for centuries. Going from the iron grip they had over the scriptures and it's understanding that's been held back from people, to people discovering there's so much more to God that has been known for a millennia or more? I know there's a lot of false stuff out there but isn't the church in general been in better shape than it has been for a long time? As I said I don't know much and I don't really know how to explain what I'm thinking, please feel free to correct me.

Lol it maybe though that might be unnessecary to fight evil in the way you are imagining it. Though I see you just mean good heh, I have thought that before myself when I was younger. If you think about it considerring the Revelations as a linear prophecy that particular event people call "rapture" is misinterpretted by men.

If you take that event in the context of its story it is near the end of the story. The cool thing though is that when it happens God Himself in all His glory is coming to Earth and ruling the World for 1,000 years, but I hope you know that the "rapture" which is the First Resurrection doesn't happen at the beginning of Revelations, it comes near the end. And further more, not one single man on Earth/Mortal Time nor any angel even knows that day. And hey according to the prophecy all those living in those times and the truest believers of all human history will be raised and help ya'll judge Earth for 1,000 years before Satan rips out of the Bottomless Pit, once again being stupid tries to fight a war with God and all His mighty armies straight up, and seeing the brevity of the verses seems like it shall be a flawless victory for God. Satan and death and sin and everything bad gets thrown away forever. And remember Jesus of course His Word isn't to kill you, it's to save you out of even the jaws of death and since death is destroyed he'll wipe away every tear of time.

Are we talking hand-to-hand combat, or are modern weapons available? If there is some way to actually be a ninja for Christ I'm so all over that!

alright i mean like there is a horde of demons in front of you and you have a gun or sword, or mini gun. thats what i mean by fighting evil

and yeah speaking truth that leads to your persecution and death

i like to imagine a last stand battle with the forces of hell about to over run the holy land while the faithful fight with hope till the end but right before hell overruns the Lord and all the heavenly host come and turn the tide.
