Written by Paul to the believers of Ephesus around 60 years after Christ. Other letters written to churches by Paul are Phillipians and Romans. It's neat to read these because the early churches went through many of the same things we still go through today, so his encouragements and corrections for the individual churches have much to learn from and be edified with.
Yep. I know. I went to a Christian Uni. Just being cheeky with the context. Since some of the teachings are relevant to their churches, may not completely be relevant today.

Doing nothing today, i guess, that classifies it as a 'nothing day.'

I would tell any young person that four year college is expensive, I would go to two year school, a.k.a. 'community college,' and, then, you have all your general classes out of the way, or, most, anyway, for your rise to the top and total concentration on your major. Plus, college is an 'experience,' and, I will add, for some, not a good experience. I've seen many girls, and, guys, do things there that they came not knowing they would start doing. And, this was at a Christian college I went to !
even in today's environment i think it's more expensive to not get a good education, unless of course you don't want to be there or have no clue what you want to "be when you grow up" and just take classes for the fun of it. because i graduated quite a bit early (16), i needed all the guidance i could get from what a christian university could offer.

if you want to "learn to do things" at school that aren't so productive, it will happen at any school. or at no school, frankly. i went to a christian uni as well, and our curfew, a four story brick dormitory, an RD couple that were practically watchdogs, and an alarm system didn't keep the girls from sneaking out. on the other hand, a lot of them didn't sneak out. like anything in life, your experience is what you make it, and the onus can't just be on the school.

at the end of the day, there are a lot of great paths to choose, as long as it's right for you and your goals.

Interesting. I just mostly solved Einstein's riddle. I can only say slightly because I just guessed what color house, not everything else. :p

My night last: Took an hour and 15minutes to get home, slept from 7pm-10:40pm then back to sleep at 11:15pm to 6am. 11 hours of sleep. Taking the bus= no life. Looking at cars tomorrow.
good luck on your car search. maybe the post-holiday timing will be particularly helpful.

Now is the time to start Lil Christian CSI Vetrinary Science, Road Kill Warrior. Ken Thomas start writing the script! That would be a fun thread!
You know...if I'm gonna have my own animal/science show, can I make it a sci-fi and hire on one of the Doctors and own a TARDIS? XD

Jules - Sorry you are feeling under the weather. Here's some chicken soup - it works! Those Jewish mothers knew what they were talking about. Hope you feel better soon!

It has been an amazingly difficult 24 hrs. I'm not going to go into all the details, but mentally I am feeling weak.
God will strengthen me,I know.
Sometimes He will use those in your life to say the simplest things.
Our words mean so much, but the heart & motive behind each and every letter mean so much more.
I am nearly in tears as I type this...not from sadness..or fear...or even because the past day has been so nerve racking...but because God has blessed me with such a gift of friendship & love,of selflessness, joy & strength through bonds that go deeper than mere flesh & blood. If I died tomorrow I would count myself as the richest man ever. I would stand before the Lord & thank Him for the blessings He's given me. I am here. Now. This time & place for a reason. No regrets. Just a thankful heart for the love He's entrusted me with.

I had an alright day. I went to the DMV again with hopes of getting my Virginia permit, since I've had my California permit for awhile and that's about to expire. Unfortunately, I failed the test by TWO POINTS! My mom was upset, but it's not surprising because she is always upset when I mess up. I have one more chance to take the test and to pass, so I am hoping that I study enough!
Besides that, I went to the mall with my sister. My mother said to meet her in thirty minutes. My sister and I had so much fun it ended up being two hours! But my mom was glad to see us lighten up :) So other than the permit test, it was a fun day

I just learned that my 92 year old friend passed away this morning. Kind of bummed, kind of rejoicing that she has "graduated" and is in the presence of the Most High. I was able to do the musical project for her - I met with her several weeks ago to write down the song as she sang it. I then created a vocal and piano score on the computer using a notation software program called Finale. I'm glad I got this done and she was able to see this accomplished before she passed. This is one of three songs she wanted at her memorial service. It looks like I'll be playing the piano in it on Wednesday.

Not even sure what I'm feeling right now. other than that I miss Margaret.

I wondered, but you acted like you didn't know so I decided to proceed with that in mind. ^_^

That's got to be hard. =\ But it's also good you were able to get everything accomplished. Finale is a wonderful program! I love it.

yay! i think we need a schoolhouse rock moment...

I used to sing these in my head to remember things in school. I did it all through school even in college. School House Rock was great, they should run them again.

Yes, that would be cool. Laboratory in the Tardis for your forensic studies.

Sometimes I tend to skip from point A to point Z so fast that people around me are left behind and trying to figure out what crazy short-cut I took.

In my head, I went from A to B to C and so on, but they don't know that.

Maybe I should do more thinking out loud when trying to communicate with people, so if nothing else, at least we'll both be all confused at the same rate.

In other news, I'm pretty bummed that I haven't got any ice cream right now.

After work tonight I stopped at AC Moore craft store to get some paint and little brushes for a kid project. Found the paint I wanted. I need small brushes, I found packages of mixed brushes, some small some large, wouldn't work, need all small, so in order to get all small brushes I would have needed two packs, so after searching for about 15 minutes and hearing, "The time is now 8:50 and AC Moore will be closing in 10 minutes, please bring your final purchases to the cash registers." I thought well I'll get 2 packs. Kind of frustrating that this huge craft store doesn't have a larger pack of all small brushes. I go up to the register and on the side where they keep little things are 12 packs of small paint brushes for a dollar.

Why do stores do that? I have this same problem at Wal-Mart, I'll be looking for something like one of those sticky lint brush things for example. I look all over the store and find them at the register. Just put them where they should be. I hate shopping.

Would you totally hate me if I told you that I just opened a pint of B&J's Phish Food???
If the answer is "Yes",then would you still hate me if I said I'd share?
