Israeli forces continued to open fire at border areas in the Gaza Strip.
Two Palestinian civilians were wounded

Israeli forces launched 8 airstrikes on the Gaza Strip.
2 members of an armed group were killed.
A member of an armed group and a child were wounded.

Israeli forces continued to use excessive force against peaceful protesters in the West Bank.

6 Palestinian civilians, including a journalist, were wounded in Bi’lin and Kufor Qadoum weekly protests.
2 Palestinian civilians, including a child, were wounded in a protest organized in Selwad village, northeast of Ramallah.


Israeli forces conducted 73 incursions into Palestinian communities in the West Bank and a limited one in the Gaza Strip.

At least 44 Palestinians, including 10 children and 3 women, were arrested.
Of those arrested is Issa Khairy al-Ja'abary (50), Former Ministry of Local Government in the tenth Palestinian government[K1] .

Israel has continued to impose a total closure on the oPt and has isolated the Gaza Strip from the outside world.
Israeli forces established dozens of checkpoints in the West Bank.
At least 11 Palestinian civilians, including 5 children, were arrested at checkpoints in the West Bank.
A Palestinian civilian was arrested at the Beit Hanoun “Erez” crossing in the northern Gaza Strip.

Israeli navy forces continued targeting Palestinian fishermen in the sea.
Israeli naval forces opened fire 3 times at Palestinian fishing boats in the northern Gaza Strip, but no casualties were reported.
2 Palestinian fishermen, including a child, were arrested and then released after interrogating them.

Israeli forces continued to support settlement activities in the West Bank and Israeli settlers continued to attack Palestinian civilians and property.
A barrack for collecting scrap, a workshop for furniture and a house were bulldozed in Hebron.
15 tents, 10 barracks, 3 kitchens, 4 mobile health units and a room were uprooted in the northern Jordan Valley.

Until the Palestinians and the Arab world respect Israel's right to exist, you will get very little sympathy from posters on this board or Americans in general.

Palestinian Christians are under attack in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories.


Israeli settlers have been vandalizing Palestinian churches, monasteries, cemeteries, and other Christian institutions and property in alarming numbers over the past three years.

While Israel works to secure its borders, most Palestinians from the West Bank, Christian as well as Muslim, must get Israel's permission to visit Jerusalem, the National reports.

4/2/2012 Palestinian territories (National) – If he could, Ibrahim Khoury would bring his family to this city every Sunday.


But in his way are Israel's walls and bureaucracy that restrict him and other Christian Palestinians from entering Jerusalem.


Unlike the 280,000 Palestinians who hold Jerusalem residency, he - like most Palestinians from the West Bank, Christian as well as Muslim - must get Israel's permission to visit the city that is his cultural and spiritual home.


But yesterday, the Khoury family was part of a group of Roman Catholics from Ramallah allowed in to celebrate Palm Sunday.


Although a joyful experience a week before Easter, it was also bittersweet for Mr Khoury: he lamented the obstacles to visiting his most important holy sites such as the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Stations of the Cross.

It is important to better understand the profound moral and legal differences between Palestinian terrorism, which is always deliberately barbarous and indiscriminate, and Israeli retaliations, which are always consciously designed to AVOID civilian casualties. From the standpoint of international law, two points must be made. First, the criminal intent of Palestinian terror represents an incontestable violation of humanitarian rules of armed conflict. It is essential, therefore, to distinguish between such terror and Israeli responses to terror, which are never intended to harm innocent parties. When television news reports create parallel images between Palestinian attacks upon Jews leaving the synagogue with nail-studded bombs and Israeli reprisals against PLO targets with infantry and air-launched missiles, they obscure an essential truth: The Palestinian resort to violence is grotesque and gratuitous, seeking only to inflict maximum pain and suffering upon the innocent, while the Israeli use of force is designed only for survival and self-protection. Does anyone really believe that Israel would use armed force against any Arab targets if the Palestinians ceased their campaign of mayhem and murder?

There is a second point. Ordinary people watching the evening news now routinely see pictures of Israeli reprisals against "refugee camps." What they are not told is that these camps are the constructed sources and seedbeds of anti-Israel terrorism, and that the deliberate PLO/PA use of these camps for such criminal purpose is an example of "perfidy" in international law. In the case of calculated Palestinian placement of Arab civilians in harm's way, it is a crime that assigns full legal responsibility for Palestinian losses with the PLO and Palestinian Authority.

The PLO/PA practice of intentionally placing its terrorist forces and assets in the midst of civilian populations is unequivocally a war crime. Although it is certainly true that the Law of War is designed to protect all noncombatants from armed attack, this authoritative body of rules also makes it perfectly clear that responsibility for civilian harms must ultimately rest with the side that engages in perfidy. When IDF infantry from the Golani and Paratrooper brigades, in coordination with armored units, head into the Jenin and Balata camps to root out would-be Palestinian suicide bombers, full responsibility for resultant civilian casualties rests with Yassir Arafat.

Deception can be an essential and acceptable virtue in warfare, but there is a meaningful distinction between deception or ruse and perfidy. The Hague Regulations in the Laws of War allow "ruses" but disallow treachery or perfidy. The prohibition of perfidy is reaffirmed in Protocol I of 1977, and it is widely and authoritatively understood that these rules are binding on the basis of general and customary international law.

What, exactly, are the differences between permissible ruses and perfidy? The former include such practices as the use of camouflage, decoys, and mock operations. False signals, too, are allowed; as an example, the jamming of communications.

Perfidy, on the other hand, includes such treacherous practices as improper use of the white flag; feigned surrender or pretending to have civilian status. It especially constitutes perfidy to shield military targets from attack by placing or moving them into densely populated areas or to purposely move civilians near military targets. Indeed, it is generally agreed that such treachery represents the most serious violation of the Law of War, what is known as a "Grave Breach." The legal effect of such perfidy - the practice now engaged in by the PLO/PA - is this: Exemption (in this case, for Israel) from the normally operative rules on targets.

I think the fact that Palestinian civilians are dying in the same attacks that target military targets just shows the improper use of civilians by a certain Palestinian group in time of war. If you hide behind an innocent human being to shield yourself from bullets while you try to kill another human being, you can't blame the other human being for shooting back at the both of you to defend himself. That's usually described as a hostage situation, and the responsibility for that innocent life rests with you. Do I wish innocent Palestinians wouldn't get hurt? Yes. Do I hate Israel for defending itself? No. Do I find the attempt to group Palestinian terrorists and Palestinian civilians into the same group of victims in order to senselessly attack Israel as disgusting and reprehensible? Yes.

Biscuit is right. Until things change, the only thing you'll be accomplishing here is stirring up further resentment - not helping your cause.

Flower Mubai, I see you are declaring yourself to be Jordanian. Maybe you would like to see West Bank returned to Jordanian ownership, then the Jordanian government can continue the massacre of the so called Palestinians on the West Bank without attracting any attention.

My mom's family fled Haifa, Palestine in 1947, at gunpoint.

I heard lots and lots of stories about scary Jews with guns from grandma when I was growing up and, in spite of that, I'm of the same mind as you about this thread.

It is a very complicated state of affairs, but there are plenty of people who do not want to know history, how many people realise that the terrorist group Black September was originally formed to carry out terror attacks in Jordan as a result of the massacres carried out by Jordan.

Of course Israel is not totally innocent, when you have an army which imposes compulsary national service, you will end up with idiots who use their uniform and status to carry out abuse, but these incidents are always investigated and the people responsible prosecuted.

Israel handed over Gaza , lock stock and barrel, to be run under Palestinian rule, however this just allowed numerious state sponsored terror groups to continue the war against Israel totally unchecked. THis is why we see incursions into Gaza to take out terrorist groups.

The propaganda will point out the evil Israelis kill children, however when you look at the ages of most of these "children" they are infact old enough to be adults. a 16 year old firing a mortar or gun is no different to a 50 year old doing the same.

Human shields are disgraceful, take out a terrorist and you may end up killing civillians.

As for "peacful protests" they are often far from peaceful, the protests are often used to challenge border and checkpoint controls or to provoke soldiers to the point they snap. Then there is the tactic of using kids to try and provoke the border guards into pushing them , hitting them or dragging them away with the countless media present will record that and pass it off as an evil oppression incident.

That opinion is entirely consistent with the Australian people's historical treatment of the Aborigines where they stuffed human bodies and displayed them in a museum.

But it was placed in the Tasmanian Museum where it was on public display in 1904-47.

Yes there is a big debate on boat people in Australia. Most forget the worst boat people to arrive in Australia were the first boats bringing the European settlers.

There are more ways to provoke anomisoty and VIOLENCE (just political propaganda). At the long run, just those Jewish leaders who disobeyed GOD's commandment left their children those problems his families are reaping today.

Former desobedience has such a consequence.
