Is creation a viable model of origins in today's modern, scientific era? Leading creation apologist and bestselling Christian author Ken Ham is joined at the Creation Museum by Emmy Award-winning science educator and CEO of the Planetary Society Bill Nye.

Bill Nye Debates Ken Ham | Answers in Genesis

7PM tonight...Don't miss it if you can help it, if not it seems there are options to purchase the DVD or download the debate in HD or SD too. I also have several hearing impaired and deaf friends so i looked up the information for ASL interpretation. It will be available on a separate live stream at

Thanks for link..unfortunately I'll be sound asleep in 5hrs time :( Hopefully it'll be put on their website for future viewing.

I use to watch Bill Nye the science guy as a kid. Not anymore. Bill Nye got a lot of kids involved in science but has no clue about Christian writings, or spiritual things pertaining to God's truth . Quite frankly he's not that great of a scientist if he believes in evolution.

I'm preparing to be disappointed, but I'm open to different results.

The debate has nothing to do with facts but who can put on the best show and say things that sound nice.

bill is way more composed than Ken was, also Kens paid science guys were clearly reading TelePrompTers!

Happy for the debate to happen - praying for it - so many people are on their way to hell forever, they deserve hell, but Christ died so they might live. Praying for Bill Nye's soul - for he is lost.

People are always going to hate, even if Ken Ham does a great job, people have worldviews that impose their bias. God is good and He's gracious

Who won? Or is winning. I'm not able to watch it..

It wasn't a win/loose debate really since that is subjective depending on what your beliefs are.

It was a science discussion and Ken seemed nervous, he had paid PHD creation scientists speaking from teleprompters.

It was a good debate, it will be on youtube later on. Right now its in the questions from audience segment.

Bill Nye the Science guy

SCIENCE RULES!

man... i loved that show

Nye is appealing to a logical fallacy of experience. He states the ark was extraordinary to the point it could not be built. He has stated that Noah did not have the proper know how to build such an extraordinary boat. Is the ark really extraordinary? Nye stated the ark is the largest ship ever built-and that is plain false. The length of the ark was 512 feet long. The Sea Giant, oil tanker is 1,507 feet long. So Bill Nye's facts are exaggerated.

It was built over 120 years by 8 men or 960 man-years or 350400 man-days. That would be enough to build 2 aircraft carriers.

Bill Nye also pointed to a Zoo and stated how large the zoo is as if animals need the entire space to live. Zoo space includes walk ways, streets, parking lots, restaurants, bath rooms, gift shops and staff facilities. I imagine 40% of a zoo is for humans. So again Nye is exaggerating his facts.

Bill Nye is a nice guy and seems to be more comfortable with public speaking than Ken Ham but he's also trying to placate the crowd with weird, random, unrelated details and humour. He's making some good points (although underrating and exaggerating some facts - especially Bible facts) but he's also discussing some things that Ham has already spoken about and discredited (the differences between observational versus historical sciences). Also, many of the questions he discusses have already been answered by Answers in Genesis and Creation Ministries International.
