I know plenty of male "pastors" who should NOT be preaching the gospel.

It doesn't matter who teaches as long as its the Word of God.
Of course it doesn't if the Word if God is irrelevant to you and if it is, what you are teaching is likely to be suspect.

Is your mind still carnal that you still judge from outer appearance.
Discerning according to scripture is not carnal.

A woman can sure teach and preach the Gospel because all Christians have to reach the world for Christ regardless of sex.Woman can teach men who know not God and the truth
We are not talking about whether a woman can share the gospel. The question is "Do you support female pastors" and by that I take it to mean "do you support women having the leadership of churches." The church today has this strange idea that the gospel is preached from a church pulpit whereas Jesus said to go into ALL THE WORLD and make disciples. He didn't say to go into all the pulpits in religious buildings to preach the gospel. That means a woman can share the gospel anywhere as can men.

Not that a man is greater than a woman except for the flesh.The Bible says that in the Lord a man and a woman is equal and that is because the only thing that separates a man and a woman is the flesh,but the spirit and soul are the same,and the saints will put off the flesh and have glorified bodies.
I assume you mean there is no male or female in the spirit. That being the case, it has to do with salvation, not ministry. The background of this comment is a society where women were chattels and at the beck and call of men. This verse indicates that both men and women are equal before God and both can receive the salvation he offers not just men.

Over here, some people have looked into this subject when the effect of rejection in people's lives was revealed by God. Those called by God to minister freedom from rejection isolated symptoms of rejection in a person's life. You could listen to a person speak and know that they had rejection. Many times my wife and I left a meeting and our first comment was "He has rejection."

Many men and women are doing pulpit ministry because of rejection. It is their way of hiding the fact and not having to face it. The end result is a powerlessness in their lives and teaching because everything is filtered through the rejection to protect themselves so they cannot operate without that controlling everything they do.

If this is the case, being in ministry will achieve very little.

I'm Lutheran and we have female pastors but the truth is, I just can't take them seriously.

When Paul said that women are to be silent in church, this is taken out of its context. He was specially addressing the church of Corinth.

Wrong. [SUP] [/SUP]
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
And by the way, I respect your right to have an opinion, not necessarily the opinion itself.:p

Now y'all don't go flaming me..I put a smiley face up there.

yes, all scripture is inspired by God. I will concede that point, however, some scriptures were addressed to specific people in specific circumstances. Remember when God asked Cain about his brother? He wasnt talking to me, i havent murdered anyone..just sayin...

God was clearly and specifically talking to Cain. Paul clearly and specifically was the apostle to the gentile and he was talking to gentiles...plural

If he was Just talking to the Corinth's then why are any of his letters in the bible, because they are all addressed to certain churches? Its because they don't JUST apply to other churches, but everyone. Paul was trying to show them the Ideal church which had a male pastor to lead. The concept that this just applies to the Corinth's is terrible logic because then I could take out almost half the NT because they are letters that "weren't addressed to me".

Peace be with all of you beloved ones of CHRIST, if the HOLY BIBLE justify this matter once and for all, then stop this childish behavior of 'lawlessness', the very similar pattern of this world, passionate in debates and voting, an empty and vain game show of show offs, in order to excite and to entertain the weak and poor, in ignorance 'limping on one leg', similar to the time of Prophet Elijah, i confess sadly and compassionately again, stop! all of you and make a choice once and for all and truth believers stand on it in faith.
And if the Holy Scripture doesn't justify nor make one understand, then continue in doing what you all believe and agree to do.

As it is written; "Do not be equally yoked with unbelievers."

Justification of the HOLY SPIRIT in the letter to Timothy

When Apostle Paul's time was up, he passed on his baton to young Timothy, giving him instructions how and who to choose as leaders and helpers over the church;
1. Leaders;
- Mature
- Good reputation in the community
- 'Husband to one wife'
- etc.

2. Deacons;
- male and female
-etc.

As it is written in the New Covenant that;
- women are weak vessels for men to love as one wife, as sisters and as mother and they may be deceived by satan like Eve.
- Men was not created for women but for GOD and women was not create for GOD but for men to GOD to be as companion in submission, serving GOD in the form of only one wife, sister and mother to men.

GOD is a GOD of order cum unity and peace the 'Light'. HE is opposite to the God of disorder cum division and destruction the 'darkness' which is also in our flesh/carnal/'self' behavior.

That is why HE called us to forsake the fleshly feelings and desires/carnal thinking and understanding/'self' focused and driven purposes, in order to grow using HIS gifts and Holy Scriptural knowledge and in faith worship GOD who is SPIRIT, who called us to worship HIM in spirit and truth, is to the very sowing in the things of the HOLY SPIRIT and have life and have them in abundance.

Peace be with you dear mathan3, please keep on reminding and stir up the memory of believers, according to the given established New Covenant, for the Apostles, especially Apostle Peter said that 'he will continue to do the same for the church of GOD through CHRIST and the HOLY SPIRIT, until he leaves his body'. They themselves faced overwhelming challenges from false witnesses to their churches, who have gone ahead of them. You and i and others have been witness to them all to imitate, which is all written in the New Covenant in order to continue to build and edify HIS lambs and sheep. We do not know who they are but we have just done our duty using the gifts of the HOLY SPIRIT and faithfully imitating the Apostle's lives and instructions. Please understand that it is not you or others or me but it is the Holy Scripture of the New Covenant and they are spirit and life for all believers. We are here not for all and can change all, but CHRIST the HOLY SPIRIT said, in our faith labor there are some listening and paying attention to the Word of GOD of the New Covenant, established by CHRIST through the HOLY SPIRIT and the chosen Apostles.

Elijah the prophet, will burn them alive (since such kind of pastor offends his pointview). Untill his public executions the crazy womans will play in such perversive self-deceiving (as well as gay-pastors and etc).

Holy Bible supports women reasoning and Gospel sharing.There are Verses in Scripture supporting it.But if God has really anointed a woman to stand and Preach the Word of God,share Gospel,...she will!!! but the Power of God!! and she will enter eternity in Heaven while those pointed finger at her might not.It's about who called not who is Preaching..
It's women who followed Christ in large numbers without FEAR and crying,when Christ staggered and walked carrying the Cross of our sins to calvary.
men(including peter who said he will not deny) ran form the scene except John.
All this doesn't mean that there is no order.
But God will, and do anoint women for messages.It's not a big deal,provided they are humble and are subject to higher authorities in Chruch.They must be meek,so must be the male Preacher.There are no exceptions in God.
haughty men or women,are both not making themselves suitable for God's work.Most often God calls people who shy away.So if a True woman shares or reasons or gives message by the Power of God,there must have been a tremendous tug of war between her and God before she humbled herself to God's Love and gained strength to Preach.
It's not about woman or man,it's about Jesus.
In group meeting,small fellowships,even bigger congregations she will be a Blessing and God will speak through her,
even if men or women don't like it,because she is led.

Now it's a different thing if a woman raises up her voice just like that without God's Spirit, in Church without any purpose.Like that we have many.So do men,.....joel osteen...ringing something:)?

One thing i forgot to add,the word pastor means 'shepherd'.In that sense,i really doubt it.
Women can lead Worship,give message,reason,teach,etc.
Pastoring(leading a Church),NO is the answer as a far as i know.
i am still to be convinced on that,if women should pastor...
