Thank you for your input. I understand that feeling guilty is a way of responding to the realizations that our sins are what keep us from God. It's inevitable to feel convicted, because as part of our sinful nature, God's plan for us is so fulfilling and pure in meaning. I would have to say that I did feel convicted, and I did let go of that guilt and repent of my sins. And I did confess Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. The only thing that bothered me when doing the "bible talks" is continuing that conviction and having emphasis on certain aspects of being a disciple, like baptism and not using musical instruments. According to my mentor, baptism and discipleship was the only way to being saved by Christ. But from what I've understood, baptism is a form of obedience to God, and can save you. She said that baptism through their church is the only way for salvation. Isn't that kind of judgmental to make a claim like that? To claim that her church is the one true church? That reminded me of how Pharisees and the self-righteous would think, because she is judging others based on their walks in faith, right? Our walks with Christ should be uplifting and joyful and encouraging, never judged. People are able to be saved in different ways, not just baptism. They can receive salvation through God's grace and love for us. John 3:16 says that.
