I'm 40 and I have an Egyptian background. What about PM you? I don't understand anything....... :)

Seriously, this made me laugh out loud. I'll be sure to let you two know the next time someone in their 40's from Egypt is private messaging me. :p

LOL not you, you're cool. ;) You can PM me anytime you want, lol! There's guys who will pm me that I've never seen in chat before or I've barely conversed with them in the main and all of a sudden it's okay for them to PM me!

I USED TO BE GOOD AT THIS! I USED TO BE CLEVER AND WITTY!

Instead, now, I guess I'll just point out that some of us are hanging out in the chatroom. Because, that's what cool people do on a Saturday night. ^_^

Strange, but beautiful night sky on the way home tonight. It looked like someone drew on a pale blue and yellow sky with charcoal. I've never seen anything like it.

I just am. I'm a coward when it comes down to the line on some things. I'd rather just ignore things at work, laugh off discussionis or questions, than say what I really think and risk making things uncomfortable and awkward between my coworkers and I.
Sometimes, the only thing people will disapprove of, is the way you try not to step on toes. XD

Kind of a roughish morning. Went to a men's group this morning, and the guys leading it passed out a paper regarding husbands behavior after marriage and all that stuff. Nothing wrong, nothing I disagree with, but since I'm not only single, but also divorced...kind of awkward...and put me in a slightly bitter mood. Oh well, I'll get over it.
That sounds familiar. I HATE when all the cute little church families just assume that the rest of us are all happily paired up like the rest of them. The moms group is "Open to moms of all stages of life" yet it's on Friday mornings. So really, it's for all moms except those of us who have 9-5 jobs. Or it's the women's events that don't provide childcare because the "husbands are taking care of that." Well, congrats for all of you who either didn't marry a narcissist or just haven't divorced him yet.

I'm not saying that everything should be arranged to accommodate those of us whose families aren't quite traditional, but stop assuming that we are all like you. It puts us on the spot to either have to quickly adapt or explain why we are different. It can be a painful reminder of what we have lost (or never even had). Or it can make us feel insulted or excluded.

Even as a married person I can understand what you're saying Misty. The church I used to go to MOPS group at, started a PM Mops and I volunteered in the nursery. That MOPS was packed, I went to the AM, but I thought it was a wonderful idea when they started a PM group. Also my Husband works a lot and I of course am with my kids, and I'm in a church with a lot of older people who have adult children now, they will say well let's meet Saturday at 1PM, well my husband works every Saturday. You wouldn't believe how many people are shocked by that and I will say things like, well we don't live in a 9 to 5 world anymore.
