What would I do? Hmm..Would knowing what I would do give you comfort? Because what I would do does not mean your friends would do the same thing but none the less, I would do the same thing now as ask how did you get into it, why? so on and so forth. I wouldn't severe ties with you because you are a satanist and if your friends end up talking behind your back, that's nothing on your fault, it would be their sin.

So, what keeps you as a satanist? How does it effect your life? Do you see it as the truth? You say the true meaning of the word satanist is 'adversary' it is because satan, the fallen angel is the adversary. So why would you want to be an adversary?
Hope I haven't asked too many questions, I want to understand because it's not everyday I come across a 'satanist' hehe
Whoops! Sorry I missed your post initially. :p
What keeps me as a satanist? It feels natural. I feel like I would be lying to myself with anything else.
How does it effect your life? In short, it doesn't. It is my life. I live as any man

You have no master but yourself...so in modern common terminology you are an atheist (Using the term Satanist implies following Satan (not saying it does but people will perceive it that way) and therefore you aren't your own master. I would just tell them the whole story of how you got starte to be honest.

Apparently I can't edit posts older than five minutes. Let's try this again. :)

What keeps me as a Satanist is the fact that it feels natural. I'm embracing my human flaws, and I feel like I would be lying to myself another way.

"How does it effect your life?"
In short, it doesn't. It's how men all want to act, naturally, but, some accept limiting rules and beg forgiveness for their fleshy, worldly, human desires. I don't regret these urges, I indulge in them, and it makes me fee alive. (I don't mean to insult the Christian religion here, I'm just explaining that it makes me feel free, and that's why it fits nicely with me.)

"Do you see it as the truth?"
Absolutely. I truly believe there is no God, Devil, Heaven, or Hell, as truly as the Pope believes he is righteous. :)

"You say the true meaning of the word satanist is 'adversary' it is because satan, the fallen angel is the adversary. So why would you want to be an adversary?" Because I completely and totally disagree with limiting yourself because of a book written by men you don't know thousands of years ago. No offense, I just mean to give a decent explanation to why I feel this way. I think you should indulge in the things you love, and the things that make you feel good, until they don't make you feel good anymore. I believe each person's number one priority should be themselves, like any other animal's is. Because we're given one life, and that one life should be spent well. I don't like the idea of people wasting their lives waiting for something I don't believe will happen, and arguing over things that don't matter, like who the true evil is. I am the adversary to those who would harm themselves and others needlessly. Responsibility to the responsible, respect to the respectable and all that. Which is not to say I immediately disrespect a Christian, or a person of any religion. Just that I ... pity. Just as any Christian does practically any other religion.

Save for the murder and "without natural affection" part...
...Amen?

This means that no one should be able to control your life i.e. if you are happy murdering people, you cannot be arrested because you are your own master. Other human morals cannot over power your morals no matter what. I know it's a far fetched idea and all but realistically, you are not your own master. You are only your own master to reasonable extent. sorry for it being off topic, just an interesting thought that always comes to mind.

I follow a set of beliefs as all men do, but mine are more liberating than most. Satanism it is!

Well I've had time to contemplate it finally, and this release has been nice. I'll probably sit one of my friends down and talk her through the whole thing, and hope she helps me spread the word. Wish me luck, pray if you must, all, and, thank you. Everyone. I feel much more confident, and it's great. I wont taint your words with a blessing, but... be well. :) I'll still respond to anything I see.

Absolutely false. :) Haha.
If someone has the ability and desire to impose their will on someone (I.E. a cop who dislikes drugs putting an 18 year old in freaking *prison* for a victimless crime like Marijuana possession), then they absolutely should. But they shouldn't do it because they're told to, they should do it because they *want* to, and it follows what they believe.

Here's a question. In Christianity, it is a sin to disobey your mother, and a sin to disobey your father. What happens when they contradict one another? For a hardcore Christian, the answer is difficult, and he would feel guilt, and beg forgiveness for either the parent he disobeyed, his God, or both. For a Satanist, the answer is easy: Whatever makes you feel better. And don't regret it; there's no point. If your father threatened to spank you for it, you would either get spanked or disobey him further and hit him. If that's what makes you feel better, that's natural, *do it.* I am my own master, and though each person has their own wrath, which could easily be inflicted upon me, I choose whether to incite that wrath, or work with them to avoid it. I will not commit murder, because murder would be against the law, and they would damage my life, which is what I care about most. And I don't hate anyone enough to risk that, nor do I see how anyone could. And I like that law, because I'm not so afraid of being murdered. Which would damage my life; my most precious possession.

In a situation like that, one parent may be crazy but I do see what you are getting at and it's a very valid point.
All I am saying is that if I am my own master, no one should be able to apply their morals on to me. A person should be able to commit crimes and not go to jail because to them, it felt right. You cannot possibly tell someone that they are doing something wrong if the concept of being your own master is true. You can only tell someone they are doing something wrong is the concept of being your own master is under reasonable limitations. The fact that there is laws stops you from being your own master to a full extent, its just not going to happen. I do understand the concept of being the master of your own life which is true but.. I just don't buy the full concept because of human morals.

the difference between an atheist and a satanist is that the satanist has taken that crucial first step in admitting he has a problem, while the atheist remains in ignorance and denial over who it is that he worships.

I have no master but myself. Please don't undermine my beliefs, as I could yours; it would become unproductive.

I just... want to know how I can admit to my friends that I'm Satanist("Atheist"*Hiss*), without them thinking less of me, or that I think less of them that I did before admitting it.

It's looking like I can't. :/
I wont go back to rules I don't agree with. But I can't sit here pretending I'm some saint with my friends and parents when I go home and indulge on pretty much every sin but unnecessary violence.

If I can't do that... I don't know what I'll do. Find new friends? If I wanted to move, I'd have to be homeless. Take my notebooks and books and pencils and steal until I die. Or, until I got a job as my grimy self and ...worked with people in a Satanist-friendly place. I don't want change. I just want a release.

This

sucks
well............ I do find this ironic that a satanist comes to a chritian chat site that stand for what you dont believe. Umm this is kind of tricky because the Lord say to "love one another as i have loved you" coming from a diverse religious background i toyed around with some but since i am a child of God i know the effects. Its a dangerous thing to fool around with i do Pray that one day Christ does win you but its a 2 way street. I have actually quit being friends with a lady i had been best friends with since child hood because she was a Satanic- luciferian idk didnt research it. But talked to her a few times and before then i could feel the wickedness around and on her, there was another lady i lost contact with that is a wiccan the only reasons are i have a small child and everytime we aere at theor houses my child would scream all night have nightmares and see things so personally i refuse to be around things like that because i am super sensitive towards that stuff its kinda like a door was opened when i was into it and only God can close it but i can re-open it with sinning and not repenting and delving into things i shouldnt. Personally i dont pity you because you chose this path loneliness is part off it ostracism is part too especially if you think your friends that worship God and His Son Jesus Christ will wholeheartedly accept this. Because of the things you allow in your life you punish yourself and be prepared if you do tell your friends that they will immediately want to and will lay hands on you in prayer in the Lord. So i would stay at a distance from you yet i would constantly be praying for your deliverance from this certainly like i am now. I pray that God can touch you through his son Jesus Christ to heal whatever is broken inside you and to break these chains that bind you to break the curses on you to break this mental bondage and to heal your heart and mind that you realize who is the one true king the King that created heaven and hell the earth the sky and moon the King that will ultimately win that every knee will bow to. I also ask that the Lord send messengers of his good word to your heart even if just a person passing on the street or flipping through channels on tv i pray that one night you find yourself on your KNEES praying to Christ to take over your heart mind and body i thank God for your soul in Jesus name Amen for he will always banish the darkness and win His glorious light In Jesus name i rebuke this evilness from entering into my home or others protect these minds from the deceiver Lord lay your hands on your people who read this or entertain thoughts of this or try to fight without you Lord backing them up! Jesus i pray your Holy name amen!

Those I cooperate with are not my masters.

The sleeping bear is not my master, when I decide not to poke him with a stick, for fear of his wrath.

The tyrant is not my master when he says "kneel or die" and I kneel to him.

For my pride does not turn to stupidity. It would be counterproductive to my life to not kneel, and so I command myself to kneel.

No matter what your actions, you are never forced but by your own will. When you attribute that will to another being, you are using a scapegoat. Notice how, in every religion, the God or Gods each individual worships tend to coincide with their own desires. I simply admit this truth, where others choose to ignore it, which is their unfortunate right.

I do not kneel to a God, because I don't believe his wrath exists.

If you kneel to the tyrant he would be your master how do you not see this? Even though you command yourself to kneel he had commanded you to kneel or die so in a way you obeyed and pledged your allegiance to the tyrant who would take the action of kneeling as your are now his servant and dont want to die so you will obey the tyrant so he does not take your life so what is " i am my own master" about that?

:D

I am that bread of life.
Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

(John 6:48-51)

we've just got bread and water, but it's not-your-ordinary-bread, and the water is something pretty special too..
