Question: "Should a Christian be interested in conspiracy theories?"

Answer:Who killed JFK? What is the Illuminati? Was there equipment on the space shuttle that caused earthquakes? If God reveals the answer to any of these speculations, we should be thankful He has brought light to our mysteries. If not, we should leave well enough alone—especially if dwelling on those mysteries brings fear.

On one level, conspiracy theories are entertaining. Trying to connect the dots through disparate historical events brings a sense of order to chaos. Speculating about mysteries incites a titillating anxiety of the future that relieves boredom and distracts from more pressing dilemmas.

Speaking up and uncovering the truth is certainly biblical. The prophet Nathan uncovered David’s conspiracy to cover up his sin of murder (2 Samuel 12). Paul’s nephew uncovered a plot to assassinate Paul, and his knowledge foiled the attempt (Acts 23). Wickedness likes to hide.John 3:20says, "Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed." We should always seek the truth. “Love truth and peace” (Zechariah 8:19).

Two warnings concerning conspiracy theories: first, we should never get ahead of what God wishes to reveal to us.Godreveals the truth in mystery (Daniel 2:30;Genesis 40:8). He will tell us what we need to know in His time, and there are things we do not need to know (Mark 13:32;Revelation 10:4). We should not indulge in useless speculation that takes time and effort away from our work for Christ (1 Timothy 1:4).

Second, we should not fear. "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7). Many conspiracy theories feed fear and prey on ignorance and gullibility. God has called us to something better.

One problem with conspiracy theories is that they place too much emphasis on worldly matters. It's good for political intrigue to come to light, but that is not a necessary condition for the Christian life (2 Timothy 3:12). It is right for corruption to be brought to justice (Isaiah 1:17), but it is still possible to live a godly life, even if justice never happens. In our search for truth,Romans 8:31should always be in mind: "What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?"

Exposing the truth is good. Obsessing over rumor and hearsay and half-proven theories is harmful.Ephesians 5:11-14is an excellent guideline. Verse 11 says to expose "the fruitless deeds of darkness." But verse 12 says not to mention them. How do we expose them? Not by conjecture or worry or fear or never-ending deliberation, but by waiting on the words of verses 13 and 14: "Everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for it is light that makes everything visible." Speak the truth and wait for God's timing.

Endless speculation about conspiracy theories is, at best, a waste of time. At worst, the obsession induces paralyzing fear as our attention is drawn away from Christ. Avoid the mysteries God hasn't chosen to reveal yet. Let Him work according to His timing. Rest in His plan, which can never be thwarted (Job 42:2).

Above all, do not fear. “The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers take counsel together against the LORD and against His Anointed.” But “He who sits in the heavens laughs, the Lord scoffs at them” (Psalm 2:2,4).

I think when you take all these few simple starting points into consideration (plus all the other crazier stuff besides just these points) I think you will see that this New World Order conspiracy is bunk. Even if we pre-suppose the Western Elite are trying to execute the NWO, they are certainly and epicly failing.

So how do you refute the fact that former U.S. presidents have openly talked about a New World Order? Brainwashing people is going to take a considerate amount of time. Before you introduce destruction, isn't it wise to dumb down your victims so they can't think about retaliating? The government isn't stupid. They know exactly who they're dealing with and how to appeal to their followers

Indeed it is true many Presidents speak openly of a New World Order. (I notice Obama has nuanced the term in his speeches now calling it a "New International Order".) As for your other assertions, aye that would seem like a logical plan indeed, and perhaps there is some truth to it.

However you must keep in mind this thing:

If we assume our Western politicians are trying to craft a New World Order; whoever said they were succeding?

When I look at geo-politics and history it would seem to me they are utterly failing.

You also must consider just because Obama has a vision for his NWO so too does about every other politician in America and all the other lands have their own distinct vision of a NWO and all their visions conflict with eachother. For instance Putin has a vision of hyper-nationalism and reforging the Russian Empire. Ayatollah Khameini thinks by causing enough chaos he trigger the muslim doomsday. Al-Qaeda believes they will establish a world caliphate (and many other extremist muslim nations have this view too but they can't agree whose caliphate is better.) China is kinda a unique nation to study, they don't seem like they want a NWO at all, they just want to maintain China and Chinese culture in their borders but will be party to world trade to get rich. The Europeans might have a New World Order, but then again they are struggling just to keep the European Union from collapsing.

In fact even us Christians have a vision of a NWO (when God destroys this fallen world with fire and recreates the perfect world resurrecting all the righteous to live forever.)

So you can see how at the current time due to much conflict of both opinion and actual military conflict spreading over the world how a NWO is quite improbable for the time being. Though I suppose some will still try to bring about their vision of what they beleive is a New World Order. I have a thread on here called Old World Chaos that examines this a little more in depth. A bit late to be worrying about financial collapse, after it's happened.

Might of been a better idea to strictly regulate Wall Street before this happened. Not cheer on de-regulation and cheer on wars.

Wars happen because the majority of the populace want them to happen.

Wall Street collapses because it's designed to collapse. It's fuelled by greed and the need for profit. Deregulating it, just speeds on a collapse and makes the collapse bigger.


The truth is, the whole of human history has been worse off than we are. Has faced bigger collapses that were more devastating.

Rome as an official Christian country was destroyed (sacked).

We can decide to live sensibly, or we can blindly follow the rhetoric of Politicians on both sides and worship big business.

People say bad stuff about anybody that does not do anything the want them to do. I can say bad things about anybody ever associated with government including McCain, Romney, Hilary Clinton and so on but I won't. All I can say is that our government has become very untrustworthy and has been caught many of times in the past and even now days in dirty affairs and cover ups. I live in Missouri, and yes there are concentration camps around the U.S. including here, but they are not calling them that. They are being called residential centers, but in a residential center people are suppose to come and go as they please. In these places though they hold them against their will. There is also a big practically undistructable house being built down here that is bigger than the white house, and has an under ground cave system hooked to it. Suppose to be a small family resident though....funny !!!

I agree, US President and other government agency around the world are only a puppet. If one running for office or congress. If there are two left neck to neck, they support both of them without telling his identity. Then they trap them, known as honey trap.

They give hotel room free of charge, put naked women and secretly take a picture use hidden camera.

Than they tell them to vote his agenda. if refuse, his picture with naked lady will be disseminate.

Alot of you people aren't going to like this, but David_1 is correct. Bearing false witness is slander. Anyone who creates/believes conspiracies about ANY government leader without proof(which means going on assumption) is slandering them. This doesn't mean you have to support your government leader, but you are not to lie about him either no matter how corrupt you think he is. If the government is forcing you to go against your faith then of course you are to stand against it, but conspiracy theories have little truth and more assumption than anything. People need to be careful what they believe, and what they tell.
I don't support Obama, but I don't hate him. He is the president of the USA, and I am commanded BY GOD to submit to his authority(Romans 13). Now if I wake up in the morning, and find out Obama signed executive orders saying we can no longer worship God then of course I will stand against him. That isn't bearing false witness.
Coming up with ideas about the NWO, and looking at YouTube for evidence instead of looking toward the bible for guidance when confronted with a questionable government might just get you in the HOT seat with the big guy upstairs.

I have done alot of studying on this and anarchy is not righeous.

So He have Government power, and religious power. King of England is Church leader, but not king of the king, but not vicar of Christ or represent God on earth.

Pope is head of government call Vatican and religious. He is vicar of Christ/ represent God on earth.

This is an excellent thread and all of the posts are somewhat relevant. If there is a pending NWO, and I believe there is, it won't come to surface until the Church & Holy Ghost leave the earth. Without doubt, these dark forces are here and ready to act on the drop of a dime. God's people are too big of an obstacle right now for the pending NWO to fight off. Please remember, these are satanic forces behind the NWO, lead by Satan himself. His dark forces will spring into action as soon as a particular political mechanism is trigged and the forces of the Light leave the planet. And once the trigger has been pulled, you will see every dark force come out of the woodwork at once, catching everyone by surprise. The skeletal framework for the NWO is being systematically built with the majority of the world not having a clue. I have been watching the forces of NWO at work for nearly two decades and not worrying about it because Jesus will call His faithful children home. That's how close we are to the Tribulation Period.

Why breed fear instead of faith? Why breed despair when there is the Hope of Jesus Christ's return?

Unless you think this life should continue on with absolutely no problems whatsoever, till your old and grey and all your children and grandchildren are around you as you pass on singing "amazing grace"

While people around the world are beheaded for their faith in Jesus Christ. This world is no friend of Grace
