It's kinda nice to have a confidence level enough where I can go to the grocery store to return a Redbox movie in my workout clothes, messy hair, oversized jacket, too-short pants, red cheeks (I had just exercised), and not really care. Years ago that would have made me self conscious. Granted, if I had met someone I knew or if certain...males...had seen me I would have been a little more self-conscious, but I really didn't care at this time.

Just to clarify, it wasn't that "cute" dressed down that a lot of girls can pull off. It was a "Homegirl looks like she needs a spa treatment ASAP" type of dressed down.

Anyway, just a note on how far (and still have yet to go) on my confidence.

I had a good day today :). Went out to a Thai restaurant with a friend, then to the park, then to the movies. I needed this.

Well the past two days have been very interesting and I guess you could say that the outlook has been well.
Currently I am lying here drinking Sleepytime tea (peach flavor) and I am listening to Wilder Adkins.
Also....can't tell if my shoulder just cracked or if I just spilled tea all over myself....nope just a crack...false alarm!

Hmm I can not decide what I want for dinner *raids shour & monicat's fridge* :D
There is a worldly view and a Spiritual view, one is selfish to our needs and the other is one with Father through Son

You don't need a mob man, just tell me where he is. I'll beat that old geezer to death with his own shoes

Thank you all for the prayers :)

Yes, that's definitely true. Despite the fact that I don't like the way this has all come about, I DO want to see this young lady come to the Lord.

Well, it wasn't the main youth pastor. It was one of the assistant leaders who mentors the boys in the youth group. The reason he said this was because back when he and his now-fiancee (and my best friend) were 16, they snuck around and hid their relationships from her parents because she wasn't allowed to date. He told my brother that "sometimes parents just don't understand", and that "it worked for me". Also, back when he and my friend were 16 and sneaking around, what did our youth pastor say? Essentially this: "yeah, your parents are sooooo unreasonable. But we'll listen and always be there for you and we'll never tell your parents that you've been lying behind their backs".

*facepalm*

Oh boy, that's going to eventually put them in hot water. I mean if a kid confides something in you and it's maybe a question that he's embarrassed to ask his parents, but you know you encourage them talking to the parents. Unless of course the parent is abusive, but that's not the case in your situation. I can't believe anyone would encourage hiding things for your parents, yikes.

fascinating! what are your ratios? and do you think it "sticks to your ribs" in the same way? i've always assumed that lump of coconut oil improved the texture and kept me from being ravenous an hour later (although the butter does help!). thoughts??

oh, do you ever add things to it? lately i've been dumping raw cacao in it. mmm. i also like to add defatted peanut flour to it. or use ground chia seed instead of flax.
Monica, I use an egg and a quarter cup of flax meal and then heat for 42 seconds (same as when I first tried it w/ all the ingredients). It doesn't seem to matter whether the egg is on the small side or not. I keep meaning to try adding cocoa, but haven't yet :). It works w/ some of the flax traded for wheat bran, though not as tasty. I'd say it "sticks" as well as the original, though. I like just cracking the egg in, beating, then adding the flax; saves time and dirty dishes. Thanks again for getting me started on it :)!
