This is what I'm doing now. Just posting random pics in random threads. Speaking in fragmented sentences.

If you're going up a river in a cement canoe and the wheels fall off, how many waffles does it take to upholster a walrus?

The developmentally disabled gentleman I support has a volnteer job in a Catholic thrift store. Right now at the store, Billy Joel's "Only the Good Die Young" is playing. I remember when this song came out, the Catholic church was in an uproar. Funny how times change.

Naja, tack saa mycket!

I wonder whether Anne-Frid Ljungsted would get confused between Norwegian and Swedish when travelling between Narvik and Kiruna?
Good question

I sometimes take Swedish calls at work. I find it funny that, on average, Norwegians understand more Swedish than the Swedish people understand Norwegian.

So you reply in Norwegian if they call you in Swedish, right?

I reckon Faeroese or Icelandic would be more difficult, and, as for Finnish - impossible without learning it...

Yeah, I reply in Norwegian. I understand Swedish, but I can't really speak it. I only insert a few sweedish words where I know they won't understand the Norwegian ones. I've never heard Faeroese, and Icelandic I've only heard on TV.
Finnish is indeed impossible. Our team leader is from Finland :)

A good way to get to know another language is to read a familiar passage from the Bible in it. John chapter 1, for example.

All I can say in Finnish is: Suomi on kaunis (Finland is beautiful).

Sometimes I can find Gods words anywhere :)

"Nothing Else Matters"

So close no matter how far
- James 4.8 / Jer 23.23-24
Couldn't be much more from the heart
- Matthew 6.21
Forever trusting who we are
- Proverbs 3.5-6 / John 15.4
And nothing else matters
- Romans 12.2 / 1 Peter 5.7

Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
- Proverbs 3.5-6
All these words I don't just say
- Psalm 19:14 / Isaiah 55.11
And nothing else matters

Trust I seek and I find in you
- Psalm 40.4
Every day for us something new
- Revelation 21.5
Open mind for a different view
- Isaiah 55.8
And nothing else matters

Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
- John 16.33
But I know
- Romans 12.2

It has been a fantastic morning. Everything is amazing in the country after a Spring storm. My morning run was energizing.

I have to say that I think I scared my dog while I was reading more autocorrect funnies, but laughing-so-hard-I'm-crying-and-about-to-fall-out-of-my-chair is good medicine. :)

this morning when i went riding, it was so sweet to see how excited max was to see me. it makes me smile when he starts nickering and stomping a little when he hears me drive up in my truck. super adorable.

charlotte missed me too. while i was mucking about in her stall she stepped on my foot.

I think that if we would only stop to consider the lyrics of a lot of the songs that are bombarded over the airwaves, we would be surprised.
Interesting note, the girl in the song turned him down and kept her chastity. If they would have listened to the entire song—instead of focusing on part of it without context—it could have actually been spun into an anti-peer pressure message.
