Many AREN´t aware of the trick of fashion! When I was young I seldom follow it, except by using my eyes looking at it could be seen... Today, I don´t follow the fashion, although I´ve notice my eyes keeps on doing the same mistake (a sin). Why do I stare at those who belong (or would belong) to another woman?
The trick of fashions is making a woman more visible, desirable and, our selfish reward system spurs the idea the "I´m loved or admire for the person I am" but, the thuth is just the opposite: I´m "cherished" for those things people want to see or enjoy (namely: temporal pleasures).
Modesty is not appealling.
Chastity is not sexy for men´s eyes (just ignoring some women like to see women).
Fleshily, as eyes are, they look or stare at what they like (fortunatelly, I trained my mind to see what I like, but...)
Secular life do not help to provide modesty. Those who work in some latinamerican companies choose young and sexy girl to work in their offices. I have seen how old, unatractive and ugly people are dismiss to contract "sexy" ones... So here you see there is a
sex trade to being hired (particularly by men).
I do know many sordid stories and, particularly, one of my NIECE...
The good new is not ALL are seduced or misled by fashion. I do see those who endure and do not let man-made fashion lead their life, but modesty... If any wear shorty tight shorts, she wants to be see (probably desired) and problably, she would pick the BEST man she think her best option (that is lawful and necesary: We also trade, with sex, on this life).
Operatively we (many) are window shopping on the streets and, pitifully, at church meetings...
The correct answwer is just that each man and each woman has chosen to avoid being a merchandize, a "thing" traded on the erotic market we could see around (though I could say I have seen holiness and sanctity everywhere, too)
Modesty and sanctification is a personal decision we can think of to make.
