Jesus does not deny Himself....you do as a human if you start denying Him

Once again if you believe one can not lose salvation then you write off part of what Jesus said: Jesus said you can fall away, and He also said the anti-Christ will fool some of the elect. Plus there are multiple other scriptures that talk about ones who have accepted Jesus Christ and then fell away.

The other thing with the car I was making a notion in worldly standards for those who are not as studied in the scriptures to look at them spiritually. There was a mention of there is no conditions to salvation or it would not make it a free gift.

Its a free gift cause Jesus keeps it there always......the conditions then fall on us to believe in Him, repent, and so forth.

Believing in Jesus means to also believe in all He said not some of what He said.
I have read IF IT WERE POSSIBLE TO DECIEVE THE VERY ELECT....

What part of (if it were possible) don't you understand?

Why even think that those who make a profession but who live in sin were ever truly saved in the first place?

Romans 8.38-39 is clear about the eternal security of true believers as opposed to false professors.

God made the promise.

if God takes it back because I am faithless. God must deny himself.

2 Timothy 2:13 If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.

Lemme see.....What was the intent of this?

Could this be possibly translated,

"Alright, all of you unbelievers, hypocrites, & scripture twisters, c'mon in here & argue with me so thats I can tell everybody how wicked & messed up you are. While I'm at it, I'm gonna get 'likes' from everybody that thinks like I do, & get them to do the same thing so that we can 'like' each other, build our stats & popularity, & get so entrenched in this site that they might think twice about doing anything with me."

That's just a guess, of course.

What I have to say 'bout it is this: taking the Bible & our witness & using it as a ball bat on our opponents is no better than pretzel-twisting the truth until it's no longer recognizable. Either way, you make the Word of God of none effect. Who wants the truth when you beat them with it? Shoving it down their throat? Making it look "acceptable" to slam & bash with the scriptures? Condemning everybody that doesn't agree?

Notice the heart of God from the Old Testament:
Isaiah 1:16-20 (KJV) [SUP]16 [/SUP]Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; [SUP]17 [/SUP]Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. [SUP]18 [/SUP]Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. [SUP]19 [/SUP]If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: [SUP]20 [/SUP]But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

Those that "agree" with the attitude of arguing & condemnation of this thread are building on the foundation of the attitude & helping to make it 'acceptable'.

I can't see Jesus talking like that.
Well Stevie-poo.....you would be wrong in your assessment and guesses as that was not my intention.....so now that you have pre-judged my motives which you have no insight into and or authority to do so....keep flappin them lips and digging your (sin) hole deeper....

The word for judging motive and lying is simple for those who have faith...it is called repent before you die in your sins!

That is the problem you have...God does not take nothing away...you if you deny Him take it away for yourself...but if you repent and come back to God then the gift is still there.

Let me show you in a simple way ( Just an example ) : I tell you I have a $400 for you, I will give it to you free of charge..you tell me you do not want it now..I then tell you well the $400 is still here you can come get it when you need it.
You see the $400 does not go anywhere or taken away from you, I hold it tell you chose to take ( accept ) it.
You don't have to earn it, just accept it.

I never once said you have to earn salvation, that was your words.

I do however believe cause it is in scripture from Jesus words, and Paul, James as well you can fall away and lose salvation.
That is not my take or opinion, that is scripture.

About the same results as the posts that teach works for salvation......I am pretty sure that everybody who has posted here has READ the post.....your problem is to wrongly judge my heart and motive for the post....if you don't like the post then see your self to the proverbial door or quote scripture as to where you stand concerning the OP...or do you still have a sinful vendetta against me for quoting truth and standing on what I believe??????

Stephen63 the thing I have gotten in this is to understand where one comes from. And from responses I have gotten from my response is they change or try to add to what I say. If they do that to my responses why would they not do the same to the scriptures.

Again, If I deny him, I am an antichrist. And I was never saved. Read 1 John.. They were NEVER OF US.

Yep.. This we can agree on. Salvation is offered. But it does not mean it is mine,, I must trust you to mean what you say, Or I would never take it.
I never once said you have to earn salvation, that was your words.
well according to you. I can take that 400 dollars. And still it is not mine, You can take it back at any time. So I could not even use it, because it would always be yours.

Nope. thats your take.

You again are not separating justification, which is eternal, from sanctification, which is conditional.

Our justification will never fade away, Our sanctification can waver to and fro.

it is obvious this am does not wish to add to the discussion.

thus we should not give him an audience unless he actually wants to discuss the topic at hand..

My comment is based on your erroneous assertion. The ONLY saved believer is one who has entered heaven, He has inherited the promise due to his faithfulness. This discussion is about HOW one is saved. It has NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT WE DO AFTER WE ARE SAVED. After means we are in heaven.
How would you deal with the believer being sealed by the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption? Eph 4:30

I contend that we are saved the moment we believe and receive the Holy Spirit. We are glorified when we enter heaven for we will be like our risen Lord. Time only matters to those who are under its domain. God inhabits eternity and sees us not only today but also in eternity like we are there now.

The more you post the more I become concerned that you are not saved by the biblical definition of saved. Your soteriology is all messed up.

Well Stevie....the day you usurp God is the day your judgmental view will matter....until then you are only digging your own hole.....and proving to all that you have no real purpose in here but to harass and lie about me while judging my motives....DID you say something???? Oh that is right...what you think or say about me means less than zero!......

Amen,

How can all the horrific suffering paul faced in his journey as an apostle be considered a momentary light affliction if Paul was not assured he would spend eternity in heaven? it would be impossible. because that doubt, that fear would always be there that you would mess up and lose out.

I would jump into this debate again, but answers have been said back and forth so many times I would suggest reading the Bible or just reading the forums.
