This is so funny. I tried having plants out on the balcony of my apartment in college, but they died. My neighbor gave me a mint plant...it died. I think I either forgot to water them, or watered them too much, or not enough sunlight? I have no idea. Which is a shame, because I adore flowers.

So, when I recently bought a small box kit of grasses to grow for your cat to chew on in the house, I was overly excited when they actually sprang up and are doing well. Woot, I can grow cat grasses...from a kit...

Depends a lot if they are really indoor or outdoor plants, as well. The habitats don't necessarily mix.

I bought some poppies (they're my favorite) at the grocery store, and I had high hopes for them. But alas, I killed them. Part of it was me forgetting to water, but my area had major rainfall. The ground was torn up and washed away. Honestly, I'm afraid to buy more. Maybe I should just put fake flowers in pots. :)

Up here in Canada, poppies - artificial ones - are for Remembrance Sunday in November.

my father and all my uncles served in WWI (or Act I of the Great Twentieth Century War.) in the usa what
was once armistice day, celebrating the end of the "war to end all wars" (11-11-11 at 11 am, on the 11th
day of the 11th month when the guns went silent)
became veterans day celebrating military power.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place, and in the sky, The larks, still bravely singing, fly, Scarce heard amid the guns below. john mc crae

I visited the house of John McCrae in Guelph, ON.

Woke up after having some odd dreams last night...sitting here making a list of the pros & cons in my life. Kinda depressing if I look at what reality shows me. Maybe I just need some coffee. I just dunno.:p

Yes. Coffee.

sorting out one's life should never be done uncaffeinated.
:p

I'm on this high protein, low carb diet. I didn't realize how many things have carbs in them. It's annoying!
