Dcontroversial, it's funny how you're in the military, yet you show daily losses of self-control in practically every thread you post in.

Same goes for you, Elder Rehbein.

...........slings and misguided arrows?............ how mature of you............ ROTFLOL.............

perchance you see a comment on this thread where I have displayed a "loss of self control?"

(seriously, haters gonna hate...............)

SIDE NOTE: the way Google ads work nowadays depends not as much on the content of the site as it does on YOUR OWN BROWSING HISTORY and search history......... so :D ........ ummm......... in *some* cases *some* ads are served specifically to you by Google coz of what Google sees you browsing and searching for........ I could try to implicate more but I'll stop there :D anyway yes we can block categories as well as specific advertisers so let's see how it goes.
I haven't had the flirty girl posts, but I hafta say that none of the ads meet anything that I search. Of course, basically I use biblegateway and Christianchat. My wife uses pinterest. Maybe that contributes to "my" ads. My sons search games and music.

That's it! I'll tell my wife and kids that they can't use the computer anymore. :)

I don't know if that's true because I've had my web history turned off for long time.

To: RoboOp............

Well, ONE THING is quite clear..............a lot of folks here on CC DO NOT SUPPORT Free Market ideology!

oh, no, we is overrun with liberal guberment ideologs...................eeekkkkkk!
It's not the free market ideology, it's the fact that they have to resort to this in the first place, because people today are just too cheap and stingy to part with a dollar a month. Sheesh, guys'll drop 2, 3 figures on porn in a night. Are we really so ungiving that we can't support a site that promotes our God?

And it's of the world. That's another worrisome thing.

Oh, but they never turned it off on their end.

No Rick, I turned it off on their end. My web history on my kindle (that I use) is always on, all the time. But my google history has been off for a long time. It was on their end.

Sure. Ok. Yeah I've checked/unchecked all the boxes. But I don't think for a second that actually stops them from logging me.

I don't necessarily see the connection. I don't write books, I don't want to go to the Bahamas, firefox doesn't exist on my device, etc...these ads are irrelevant.

......uh, ok.....but my comment was tongue in cheek........just so you know.......

However, given the amount of folks here that believe "tithing" to be a sin unto death........is it any surprise?

If they won't tithe........do you really believe they would give to CC?

Not accusing you of anything BUT the ads that we see as individuals depend on our browser history. My wife and I are in the market for a house and I have been getting a lot of real estate ads on here. It's likely that SOMEONE using your computer was probably visiting some questionable sites.
Some of the ads directed at me seem targeted and some don't. I haven't had any t-shirt ads, but I do get gaming ads and I do play Warcraft; but I also get mortgage ads even though I've never Googled for any information of this sort.

Well, maybe once. "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" (Matthew 27:45-46)

Every remark and utterance was significant, and instructful from Jesus.

At that moment Jesus was made sin for us (2 Corinthians5:21). God cannot be in the presence of sin. He was demonstrating this to us by showing the only time He could not even look upon His Son.

Jesus also preached against commercialism, the love of money and said freely give as you have been given.....so the day you usurp God you can tell me what to do and have a right to judge me and what I say or think....go get the LOG out of your eye then come back and judge rightly!
i don't think we have the right to say these things unless we are supporting the site, if we don't like them, then we can stop using the site, sorry this was really poor taste

That's odd, D, I don't see any. Maybe it is the Safari browser Ad-Block program. What browser beez you a browzin with?

But I don't begrudge the sponsors making some money. They must do a lot of work, and they probably have to pay by the hit -- that is, every time someone is logged in, it costs them by the time logged in. And they get a lot of traffic. I think this site is worth supporting. For one thing, it does not seem to be over-censored.
I agree with you as I have no issue with making some cash to keep it rolling.....if and when I search for something I use Bing...the things I search for are...solar panels, mini-14 clips, 9 mil. clips, water purification, etc.... military stuff etc.
