When God made the seventh day He blessed it and made it holy.

The seventh day is special time to God and we know it is because of the words He uses when He speaks about it. He uses words such as blessed, holy and sanctified. These words give the seventh day value.

The seventh day is special to God and all who love God will value the seventh day too. They will see the seventh day a special day set apart from every other day of the week. If will love God and are filled with His Spirit we will be drawn to the things that God values. Unfortunately, shortly after creation man fell. The things of God began to loose value in the hearts and mind of man. But just because man ceases to value the things of God does not mean the things of God are no longer holy, just and good. The holy, just and good things of God protect the goodness in His creation and protect relationships. Because of this, God protected them with His Law. But the Law is not God's ideal way He wants His creation relating to the holy, just and good things of God. He wants His people to see value in the holy, just and good things of God because they are holy, just and good. He wants His people to love Him enough to obey the holy, just and good things because they protect the goodness of creation and they protect relationships.

The Law brought fear of punishment for anyone who violates the things that protect the goodness in God's creation. This is not how God wants to relate to His people. He does not want to move you with fear of punishment just to make them value the holy, just and good things of God.

Today we are no longer under the Law.

Why is this?

Does this mean that the holy, just and good things of God are no longer valuable?

Does this mean that the holy, just and good things of God no longer protect His creation and relationships?

No way, He is not saying that.

What God is doing is He is removing the fear of punishment in order to move us to value the holy, just and good things of God for only one reason, because they are holy, just and good.

Now carry this over to the seventh day. The seventh day is still and blessed and holy day and was called very good by God when He created it. That has not changed. What has changed is that God is no longer forcing you through fear of the Law to make you value and honor the seventh day.

Therefore don't judge anyone regarding the Sabbath. If they love God they will value and honor the Sabbath because God values and honors the Sabbath. If they don't love God they won't value and honor the Sabbath or anything else of God. To force someone to do so is worthless because God wants His people to love what He loves and value what He values. If you don't then it doesn't matter if you are forced to keep the Sabbath because your heart is not right with God and that's His main concern.

So value the Sabbath, honor the seventh day and enjoy the Sabbath because the strictness of the letter of the Law, which brought legalism and ritualism to the Sabbath, has been lifted. So don't judge anyone in what they do on the Sabbath, but rather, celebrate and enjoy the Sabbath and the sweet fellowship of God's people for the Sabbath day is a holy day to our Lord.

Nehemiah 8:10 Ezra said to them, “Go, eat and drink what you enjoy, and give some to him who has nothing ready. For this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be sad for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

This hatred almost has to be demons working in the organized church to dishonor Christ. I was just reading a post claiming that Sabbath Keepers, and those who work to obey Christ as Christ told us to do ("If you love me") are denying Christ. If the forces working against Christ can get people to believe we should not obey Him or spend a day honoring Him, but only use the blood of Christ for our salvation, it would eventually mean we would deny Christ altogether. It would be a great victory for Satan.

We have many threads speaking for the Lord about keeping Sabbath. God is working, I hope many will respond who believe in Christ. The Lord will win against Satan. We are in the last days, we all must fight for Christ.

Of course Christians should respect and observe the Sabbath Day whenever possible. God's law pertaining to Sabbath Day is meant for the Jews and it still is. Jesus' covenant regarding the Sabbath Day with Christians is more relaxed but not forgotten in relations to Sabbath Day. Nevertheless, I agree with you.

1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

I thought that scripture tells us that Christ split the curtain between the Hebrews and gentiles, that we are now all one people, although we are grafted in.

God only separated the two because the gentiles rejected Him, so God created a race just for Him and sanctified that race at the same time ordering them to accept all who wanted to join, like Ruth did. With Christ, all were made one people. But you are say "meant for the jews" and "more relaxed for us". That doesn't fit.

I don't think it is hatred for the 7th day as much as it is confusion bred on both sides......The church in Acts met EVERY DAY and Jesus ALLOWED HIS DISCIPLES to DO THINGS on the SABBATH days that he later placed HIS STAMP OF APPROVAL ON.....having been rejected and condemned by religious fanatical men of his DAY!

Nope !! Jews don't believe Jesus is Savior or the Messiah. We will become one when the Jews meet Jesus and accept Him during the Second Coming. Maybe members of the same human race but two different religion, believing in the same Father but disagreeing about the Son (Jesus).

God only separated the two because the gentiles rejected Him, so God created a race just for Him and sanctified that race at the same time ordering them to accept all who wanted to join, like Ruth did. That why Jesus created the 12 Apostles to spread the gospel and the Word to the world and the rest is history. The gentiles really had no idea of whom Jesus Christ was. That was the role of the Apostles. For some obvious reason(s) you always misinterpret my post, creating a unnecessary argument. You misread my post again ... and I will not reply to your post out of respect and your age. Happy Sabbath Day.

Not hatred. SDA has majored in the minors and minor on the majors.
The redemption found in Christ Jesus should be the major focus yet the SDA finds it's identity in the Sabbath....utter nonsense.

We honor the sabbath just by making the peace (and this bit is important) also we have to keep the peace.
yew year day is what i pray.
put to bed the fights of the past.
they have to be fort for peace to last.

Hearts can also vary from person to person to, what your heart desires may be peace holy and true.
To say that for those who do n,t there hearts are not right
is a bit ignorant and very un-bright,
for we all need to come to the lord in need of peace.
don't shut door on his little sheep.

Because the devil doesnt want his pope day exposed and have milions of people saved, that is why.

disobedience to Gods word will not save anyone
and it took 2000 yers to twist the world enough to think they are honoring God when they are honoring mankind instead

Most of the hatred comes from pastors who make money following mans religion instead of Bible
and eople will not change days so if a pastor were to speak the truth they would be kicked out of their church
its all about money
They would rather have their whole congregation lost than to loose their jobs, my opinion.

The problem is that the Sabbath is NOT Saturday. This was only the SHADOW of what was to come for mankind to be learned by repetition. But Saturday is followed by Sunday and Sunday by Monday and the work of men again!

Now when the 1000 year reign of Christ happens (the true Sabbath day), do you think that His kingdom is an everlasting one, or will it be followed by more days of the work of men? Absolutely NOT if His is to be an everlasting kingdom!

6000 years man was given to do all his work. The last 1000 years into everlasting is set apart for God. Man's work will have to cease.

SDA?
Yahweh honored the seventh-day.
Jesus honored the seventh-day.
The Apostles honored the seventh-day.
The early church honored the seventh-day.
Seventh Day Baptist honor the seventh-day.
Living church of God honors the seventh-day.
Church of God seventh-day honors the seventh-day.
Hundreds of Messianic groups honor the seventh-day.
Hundreds of nondenominational groups honor the seventh-day.
People living in the new heaven and new earth will be honoring the seventh-day.

I guess the SDA propaganda is a powerful truth. We should all join them.

Considering how many folks are supporting Saturday Sabbath............WHY EXACTLY are they here posting on the internet? Should they NOT BE worshiping God in His Rest?

Do not judge regarding Sabbath observance. That's the meaning of Col. 2:16.

Like I say I'd never join a group that majored in the minors but that's your choice.
