Increase of Wickedness

There is a pattern of lawlessness dominating our society more today, that throughout history was found in civilizations in the process of decline. It is a pattern evident in nations that rejected God's Word as ultimate authority in their lives and is a pattern prevailing in many Americans today. Scripturetells us that...

Because of the increase of wickedness,
the love of most will grow cold. [Matthew 24:12]

I believe the world's rejection of Christ's lordship is the reason behind all the bloodshed, violence, racial hatred, moral decay, drug abuse and outbreak of deadly sexual deceases in our society Same gender marriage Homosexual immorality.

The lawmakers, educators and the media have made God an unspeakable subject. Even in prisons, there is a ban on religious motos, including the ten commandments. Even worse, many of churches today no longer exalt Christ as Lord and king.
It don't take a scientist tknow know who is behind all of this. But we human are so weak, and we are easily influenced.

But sex and all the meanings of sex is going to increase and be the driving force behind the mother of all bad sin before Jesus comes back. and this is what we are now seeing.
And poor children are bearing the full brunt of it.

When Do act upon all this?
How will we act upon all this?
We can quote scriptures about all this, but when will act upon them?

Is it time now!, to act upon all this?

Jesus could come any time now, whether you believe it or not, Jesus said I will come like a thief in the night, No one, not even the angels know, no one knows the day or the hour. Should we heed to this warning? or wait till its too late?

“I see no hope for the future of our people if they depend on the frivolous youth of today, for certainly all youth are reckless beyond words. When I was a boy we were taught to be discreet and respectful of elders, but the present youth are exceedingly wild and impatient of restraint!”
- Hesiod , approx. 800 years BC

The world isn't any worse than it was.

Not that that's an excuse, but it is pointless to say it is so much worse now than "before"

No one knows the day or hour. We should ALWAYS do our best, whether Jesus comes today or 100 000 years from now

It's a two fold thing me thinks........... :)

IF WE ARE SPEAKING about the percentage of criminal acts now as opposed to yesteryear, then that number is probably fairly consistent within a few percentage pointe either way........

IF WE ARE SPEAKING of the total number of criminal acts.......evil deeds.......then that is a different story. Why? Simply because of the increase in the worlds population...........it must needs be so..........when you increase the total number of people in the world, the total number of actual acts/deeds will increase as well ------- even if the percentile remains consistent with years past......

However, what is also fairly consistent is the belief that things are so very much worse than they have ever been......the Apostles were convinced that they were living in and witness to the last days of this world........... every generation since has had pretty much the same belief......

History is worth studying, for if one delves into the accounts of the Dark Ages, they will realize just how bad it was then, and, yet, the earth survived............God was patient and long suffering............and mankind is still here......

There isn't anything we can do except denounce the evil, pray and prepare for Jesus' call home. He gave us forewarnings 2000 years ago and told us to be prepared for His return. I am confident that devout Christians are preparing for Christ's call but I am afraid the number is very small. The overwhelming majority of Christians are lukewarm and indulge in the secular world too often, will not be ready.

Richie, I could not agree with you more........but it's worse than that. The unredeemed or sinners do what they do best.....sin, and it is getting worse. Not so sure its any worse than Roman times. It bothers me also but what bothers me most is the dead condition of the 'church'. This is all I ever talk about I know. We are not to judge those things without, but those things within. 1Cor.5:12 There are folks on this site that despise me and disagree with me on this. It would take pages to elaborate. One of the main conditions in the last days is the lack of natural affection in the 'body' due to the 'traditions of men' and out and out falsehood, another gospel, another Jesus, another spirit. Paul warned way to many times on this. Once should have been sufficient.

So my heart is with the state of Christendom. Matt. 23 expounds on the greed and arrogance of the church of Jerusalem's leadership. Not much has changed since then.

2 Timothy 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
This is true, but have you noticed that people of the church are getting stronger?

I have been blessed with living long enough to see great changes in our world. I lived in a time when we didn't even lock the doors to our houses!

Not long ago no one would even consider questioning the traditions in the organized church, very few even had access to history of ancient Hebrews that God used to give His principles so there was no discussion, even, of what is spoken of by most people today. It is as if God hid information from us until we were so separated by time from what we should know that now, God felt we were ready for it. The Dead Sea Scrolls were hidden in full sight, for instance. There is a website I use that makes Hebrew pictograph writing available to anyone, even little old ladies!

So as wickedness is accepted, and many churches act as the Catholic Church did before the Reformation, there is a remnant of the real church who are growing stronger.

Take a look at a 1955 edition of Look Magazine then compare it with an equivalent 2014 People Magazine...need I say more?
