I sure would never presume I was totally safe and ignore the relationship with the Lord you should pursue after Salvation. If you are truly saved you would want a relationship, so it makes me wonder if some people honestly were born again.

OSAS is just another way to cope with sin. I am sinning but I have accepted Christ so therefore my sins don't count. Wrong.
I don't look it that way. When I sin I feel His conviction. It is not my desire to sin, my mingled spirit with Christ wills my flesh not to sin, but we all stumble at times (James 3:2 and Romans 7). It's my faith alone in the atonement of Christ's perfect sacrifice that saves, not me trying to earn it.

The flip side to your argument is just as detrimental, which could make one feel they need to work on their own power to maintain their salvation when in fact is Christ who keeps us. While one thinks they can in their own power come to or upkeep their salvation they trample on the blood of Christ and make it worthless.

[h=3]Jesus the True Shepherd[/h]10 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. [SUP]2 [/SUP]But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. [SUP]3 [/SUP]To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. [SUP]4 [/SUP]And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. [SUP]5 [/SUP]Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” [SUP]6 [/SUP]Jesus used this illustration, but they did not understand the things which He spoke to them.

[h=3]Jesus the Good Shepherd[/h][SUP]7 [/SUP]Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. [SUP]8 [/SUP]All who ever came before Me[SUP][a][/SUP] are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. [SUP]9 [/SUP]I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. [SUP]10 [/SUP]The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

It's not my your power, but His.

there you go again We are saved by grace...you don't even know what you are debating
yeah I do. don;t you?

Grace means unearned, Why are you trying to earn it?

And do not say your not. Anyone who believes salvation can be lost based on something we do or do not do is trying to earn it.

I can say the same for you..

I can sin all I want, I just have to confess it, Maybe say some penance, and I am free and clear.

These lame excuses to deny eternal security based on the work of Christ are getting lamer. and make no sense. The same can be said for both sides.. next..

You don't get it yet I see...
[SUP]3 [/SUP]For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
[SUP]4 [/SUP]That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

[SUP]5 [/SUP]For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
ah

So you do this 24/7, And are sinless??

So the law does not condemn you anymore because you are sinless??
because NOTHING you ever do has self focus in mind?

I see you are still self decieved.

Simple question: Why did Jesus speak of those who ENDURE?

(just wondering.........surely Jesus would know)
Speaking of those in tribulation. Enduring till the tribulation ended and Christ returned.

They would be saved and enter the 100 years with Christ. Not only this, but witness the return of Christ, Oh what a glorious day

Because Jesus knew the world would be against us. Therefore endurance is a true test of faith. Those who don't endure never really had true faith.

This is what happens when you allow your doctrines to dictate your judgments. I've been through this before. You see something in scripture that dictates certain qualifications for the saved.

Galatians 5
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

But you have this doctrine that says OSAS, so you REASON that that person is not saved. ASK GOD TO HELP YOU. Doctrines are the MAIN REASON MANY CHRISTIANS WILL GO TO THE LAKE OF FIRE. Their doctrines PREVENT God from moving on their behalf because they have ANOTHEG GOD -- ANOTHER IDOL in their heart and instead of worshiping the Lord, THEY PUT THEIR FAITH IN THAT DOCTRINE.

Those who made the Golden Calf (which represents their religion -- what they were going to follow now) did so with jewelry that included earrings. When they decided to follow another god, THEY COULD NOT LONGER HEAR GOD -- and if uou can't hear God --- HOW CAN YOU FOLLOW HIM. Thus YOU ARE NOT LONGER SAFE AND HIS HAND.,

It is a prophetic statement spoken to Jewish hearers. They will as a nation endure the tribulation. Those who endure the tribulation will be saved because they will see Christ descending from the clouds as their awaited Messiah. They will believe and be saved at that time. When Jesus made this statement He was still ministering to His people Israel and not to the Gentiles.

typical of people who wish to save themselves by being good little boys and girls (or so they think) and not those who trust Christ.

Why did you not finish out the passage??

[SUP]22 [/SUP]But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, [SUP]23 [/SUP]gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. [SUP]24 [/SUP]And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Paul also said the same thing to the corinthian church..

Did he say they stopped those sins? and that made them clean??

1 Corinthians 6:11
And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

Seems like it God who saves us, Not us saving ourselves.

Does anyone else find it funny that OSAS believers claim that if someone loses their salvation or walks away from it, that they never really had it to begin with, yet when they lose their keys they don't say "well, I never really had keys to begin with!" LOL!

Whats so funny about that?

Like keys can be compaired to salvation?

I have my keys, if I lose it it is my fault.

God saves, if we lose salvation it is Gods fault, for he is the power behind salvation.

1. he washes
2. he justifies
3. He sanctifies
4. He saves
5. he gives eternal life
6. he died for our sins
7. he redeems
8. he adopts us as his children.
9. He starts a good work, and promises to continue it until the day of christ
10. he seals us with the HS as a guarantee of our inheritance
11. He changes us from within.

Is God going to fail??

seems to those who say a gift can be lost. God fails miserably.

we are saying, you cant walk away from it. if god so loved the world, and sent his one and only son, that who ever believe in him has eternal life.
its god that saves, and you need jesus, to meet god. and even in act 15 v10-11 prove it. and they are the face to face eye witnesses of jesus. go to show, them that don't believe it, are kidding them selfs on. clear as bell, grace a gift.

Define the word "Believe" as Christ used it in John Chapter 3.

Wow. So God has fault.

No, He does not have fault.

That is why when he says we HAVE eternal life. we HAVE been adopted by him, We HAVE been given an inheritance stored up for us. We HAVE his assurance he will raise us, we HAVE the seal of the spirit who is the guarantee of our salvation until the day of Christ.

He means it.

Thus we can not lose salvation, if we can, God lied, Or God has fault.

So why are you teaching God has fault??

When you sin??? ...It is not my desire to sin...... my mingled spirit with Christ wills my flesh not to sin... but we all stumble at times ...... It's my faith alone in the atonement of Christ's perfect sacrifice that saves..... does this post make any sense...

[SUP]14 [/SUP]But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

[SUP]15 [/SUP]Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

I give you three translations ...Just in case you don't understand

Romans 6:6-8 KJV
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]For he that is dead is freed from sin.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

Romans 6:6-8 (TLB)
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Your old evil desires were nailed to the cross with him; that part of you that loves to sin was crushed and fatally wounded, so that your sin-loving body is no longer under sin’s control, no longer needs to be a slave to sin; [SUP]7 [/SUP]for when you are deadened to sin you are freed from all its allure and its power over you. [SUP]8 [/SUP]And since your old sin-loving nature “died” with Christ, we know that you will share his new life.
Romans 6:6-8 (NIV)

[SUP]6 [/SUP]For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with,[SUP][a][/SUP] that we should no longer be slaves to sin— [SUP]7 [/SUP]because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.

why do you keep saying you are saved by faith???? Your problem is you don't know how to keep what you received... as a matter of fact you don't even know what you received....

So just how does a butterfly return to being a caterpillar? Salvation is that kind of a change. Dead in trespass and sin now made alive unto God in Christ. Darkness now light.

How many today deceive themselves because they know Christ only in their head but never receive Him into their hearts? Give up the old man who is dead in sin and walk in newness of life in Christ.
