The fruit of the fall is the knowledge of good and evil. Man must choose between good and evil. God has concluded all in unbelief that He might have mercy upon the whosoever wills of this world.

Conditions no but a choice yes. Joshua said choose ye this day whom ye will serve but for me and my house we will serve the Lord.

If you do not know or if you have doubts just ask God to make it plain to you. God is merciful and will save you or confirm your trust in Christ if you ask Him to do so.

For the cause of Christ

My response was to a misquote with regard to God is the power of salvation instead of the GOSPEL of Christ is the power of God unto salvation .

I am no grammar expert so I could be wrong ,a condition implies if you do this you will get this, a choice implies you can either do this or that.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
where is the choice .....I see a condition ....it is the power of God to everyone believes...it does not work for those who do not believe... again I am no grammar expert I stand corrected..

I obey God not you...your words signify you are either lazy or ignorant...these are things God is telling you to do friend or is it you are just plain disobedient..?

[SUP]3 [/SUP]According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

[SUP]6 [/SUP]And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
[SUP]7 [/SUP]And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
[SUP]11 [/SUP]For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
No Your not obeying God. If you did, you would spend less time worrying about being perfect. and spend more time praising God for saving a person like you, and thanking him for helping you break your sin habits, and pray he helps you to continue to grow in him..

No ,You are seeing what you want to see....I am telling you that you have the power to say no to sin....God did not clean you up and leave you helpless. He gave you power to become a son of God. So there is no excuse to sin.period.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
God did the work already but if it is not manifest in you, it means you don't have it ...you must bear fruit
here is your problem..

he gave you power to become sons of God. and at that time made you his son.

a son is not perfect. he will fail, and has to grow.. but he is still the son.

You claim he may not be a son, when God says he is.. with ALL the benefits of being a son, including the inheritance purchased by his blood.

YES, HE CERTAINLY CAN. SEE FIRST JOHN 1:7–9
I respectfully disagree...

Heb 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
Heb 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
Heb 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
Heb 6:7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
Heb 6:8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

I would love to comment on this. But you can;t even get the formatting right. Is it so hard to place quotes inbetween your posts so people can actually see them? I will try to answer some so. if I miss some, don;t blame me.

No. Everyone will not get what they deserve. If they do. No one will get into heaven. Because no one deserves the gift of God. Which is eternal life.
Thats your problem, you claim you are going to god in faith, but by your words you deny it. Your trying to hard to un-earn condemnation by your works. you fail to see that no matter how good you think you are. you are still condemned by the law as a sinner, and thus doomed to hell for all eternity. Maybe when you realise this, you will finally understand what TRUE faith in the work of God and his promise means.
How can the law condemn me when I am dead? You teach contrary to scripture, all my quotes are NT scriptures yet you say don't do this don't do that it is a work you are trying to earn salvation. Please show me your faith without works. Can you tell me how you do it? I would really like to know. You claim Jesus as Lord can you show me how you follow without obeying.
You have this true faith thing that you throw at people. I have told you countless times we are saved by grace.God wiped away your sins and gave you a new start. Faith is the power God gives you to stay clean until he comes or you die. you died when you received him and was raised in newness to walk like him ....

Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,

[SUP]4 [/SUP]That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

[SUP]5 [/SUP]For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

[SUP]12 [/SUP]Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

But I am losing hope you will ever find this out. All I can do is pray for you to have your eyes opened, and see as paul saw himself. what a wretched man you are. And have God save you, and stop trying to save yourself
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

so. Why are you confused.

The law condemns you. Now you claim you are not under the law. (in other words you have been saved by the condemnation which comes from the law)

So how can you not be eternally secure in your faith and the gospel of Christ if you are no longer under the law??

Again you contradict your own belief

Your either saved from the condemnation of the law. Or you are not. There is no inbetween. so which is it?

here is your problem..

he gave you power to become sons of God. and at that time made you his son.
this is what I call babbling.....he cave you the power to become ... and make you at the same time..
where do you get those things from ? name your chapter and verse... The scripture says...

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

[SUP]14 [/SUP]Do all things without murmurings and disputings:

[SUP]15 [/SUP]That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

a son is not perfect. he will fail, and has to grow.. but he is still the son.

You claim he may not be a son, when God says he is.. with ALL the benefits of being a son, including the inheritance purchased by his blood.
you have no idea what God requires of you as a son do you? I claim nothing ..The spirit will know who is following and who is not, don't you worry
By your response I must conclude the doctrine you hold and defend has destroyed your capacity to reason.

of course you are dead to the law... and saved from the condemnation of the law .God did that for us ...And he gave us faith to follow the spirit, to become sons of God. there is no middle ground. One can reach this point and not follow.

For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness

lol..

You have been asked how many times to learn how to properly quote? What is it are you to proud to even take polite instruction? And you expect people to listen to you for advice??

this is what I call babbling.....he cave you the power to become ... and make you at the same time..

Yes they are sons of God. So is God going to kick his son out of his family if he does not fly right? and if so, what is the dividing line when God says enough is enough.

Do you even understand what your saying? I am not babbling, Again, You say one thing, then contradict yourself by saying something else. That my friend, is called babbling
[SUP]14 [/SUP]Do all things without murmurings and disputings:

[SUP]15 [/SUP]That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
Yes, An awsome instruction for those who possess salvation.

Our goal is to be used by God in a perverse generation. And not to be one who is called a hypocrite by teaching one thing, but living another.

So whats your point? this has nothing to do with how one is saved, They already possess salvation.

a son is not perfect. he will fail, and has to grow.. but he is still the son.

You claim he may not be a son, when God says he is.. with ALL the benefits of being a son, including the inheritance purchased by his blood.
you have no idea what God requires of you as a son do you?

Require? What are we under law? Yes I know what God wants. I know what his will is, I know what he wants to give me, and understand if I continue to live in sin and do not grow. God will not be able to recieve these wonderful blessings here on earth.

But require??
God is supposed to be a God of love, Would you see a parent require his child to live by a set of rules if he wants to continue to be his son?? Would you call that a loving parent or a dictator?

WHo do you think teaches that God is a dictator. not a God of love, Yes you right, Satan.. You have boaght right into his lie.

I claim nothing ..The spirit will know who is following and who is not, don't you worry

So you do not believe he knows who has true faith and who does not? And who claims to have faith, but does not, proven by the fact he will one day walk away?

Again, You say one thing, but what you teach contradicts what you say. Gods knows this, but he can't know that (rolls eyes)

By your response I must conclude the doctrine you hold and defend has destroyed your capacity to reason.

lol.. There is no reason in what you say. You say one then, then contradict yourself by saying another
. If I lost reason. I may be able to see it your way. But I do not depend on myself. I must continue to trust in God. when I lose sight of God. I am in serious trouble

of course you are dead to the law... and saved from the condemnation of the law .God did that for us ...And he gave us faith to follow the spirit, to become sons of God. there is no middle ground. One can reach this point and not follow.
So he is not condemned by the law, But condemned by the law if he does not follow. (then say there is no middle ground? This I agree, There is no middle ground

Your condemned by the law. Or saved by condemnation of the law. There is no middle ground.

which is it? you again are contradicting yourself.

For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
Is this talking about spiritual life and death. or about the type of life we will have on earth? You ever been a prodigal son? You are dead (or may as well be) you are separated from the blessings of your father, and must rely on self. which is death.

So yes, I agree with everything the passage says, Just not your flawed interpretation.

Yep. We have a choice. Seek after the spirit and live a life of blessing as God is able to fill the whole in your life brought about by sin.

Or do the opposite, and live a life devoid of any life. But continue to try to please yourself. which will be a never ending proposition.

So again, Lets get back to the subject.

Are you saved or not?? there is no inbetween.

eternally-gratefull, you made this statement but you don't believe it remember?

Now this was your response to another user. So you are saying that these people were never saved huh? Then what you are claiming is that according to this scripture, you can escape the pollution of the world through Jesus Christ and yet not be saved. Is that correct?

Yeah you can. If your not living in deep sin, You can actually have a decent life. Although compaired to a child of Gods life. it will still be lacking. Again, I have witnessed it.
You don't believe its black and white. You believe that there IS and inbetween. Funny how you try to hold someone else to black and white but you make a middle ground for your beliefs.

Do what? What you posted has nothing to do with being condemned by the law or not.

It is if we are going to have a blessed life here on earth or remain a babe in Christ (as the Corinthian church was)

No there is a black and white. Your saved or your not saved.

Our christian lives vary, from babes to mature. And can go back and forth.. That has nothing to do with salvation.

Salvation cannot be lost, it is a free gift of God and once accepted it sticks. We are saved by grace through faith so theoretically if one lost faith one could but for those who really believe it doesn't seem to happen. Those who come to Christ and repent of their former lives and keep on repenting those have had a real encounter with Christ and they will never lose it. The Holy Spirit always works on those who come to Christ and won't let someone who is truly saved stay in unrepentant sin without considering bringing them home. If they can stay in it and it doesn't bother them they did not really meet Jesus to begin with.

Now do you?
Why did you fail to quote 6:9 where it is explained as not referring to a saved person?

But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak:

For some reason, someone has begun a thread on the same subject being disgusted in another thread:

http://christianchat.com/bible-discussion-forum/91892-satanic-heresy-deny-eternal-security.html

However, I prefer to call this OSS = once saved, saved! or eternal security.

Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.

Jehovah redeemeth the soul of his servants;
And none of them that take refuge in him shall be condemned.
Ps 52
But as for me, I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God:
I trust in the lovingkindness of God for ever and ever.
I will give thee thanks for ever, because thou hast done it;
1 Thes 5 end:
"And the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved entire, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He Who calls you, Who will also do it.

Col 3
If then ye were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are upon the earth. For ye died, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall be manifested, then shall ye also with him be manifested in glory.

2 Thes 2:16
Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.
End of Rom 8:
And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to his purpose. For whom
he foreknew,
he also foreordained to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren: and whom
he foreordained, them
he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom
he justified, them
he also glorified.

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? 3He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things? Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth; who is he that condemneth? It is Christ Jesus that died, yea rather, that was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Even as it is written,
For thy sake we are killed all the day long;
We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy begat us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, unto an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, who by the power of God are guarded through faith unto a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

THE OVERCOMER
Revelation 3:5
The one who overcomes will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father… 1 John 5:4-5 For whatsoever is begotten of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. And who is he who overcomes the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of the throne saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he shall dwell with them, and they shall be his peoples, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God: and he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more; neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more: the first things are passed away. And he that sitteth on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he saith, Write: for these words are faithful and true. And he said unto me, They are come to pass. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit these things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But for the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part shall be in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death.

In II Thess. 3:3 “But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and guard you from the evil one.”

In II Tim. 1:12 “For I know Him whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that He is able to guard that which I have committed unto Him against that day.”

2 thes 2:16-17 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.

the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 10:27-29
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.
John 6:37
All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.

1 John 5:10-13
Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life.
Romans 11:6
But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.

Romans 8:34
Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.

Ephesians 2:8-10 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
John 4:14
But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.

In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus
