Since the chat is flash a lot of mobile devices (nearly all I should think) won't be able to join CC.
I think it'd be neat to have an Android/IPhone app. (I use android but I'm sure some others here might have Mac devices as well).

Then we could join ChristianChat on the go. Anyone else think this is a good idea? :D

yeeeees!! I've already made this suggesting though :p but yes!! I'm using an iPod touch 4gen all the time on here. but apps first starting out have a lot of bugs and I can only imagine what the first CC app would be like. so maybe just a chat app and an IM, that'd be awesome. and even a mobile version of the site so the forums could load easier. thankyou :)

Does the 4g touch look significantly better than the 3g? I have a 3g.

Do you actually type out your content on CC with your ipod touch?

of you are looking to upgrade then the iPod 4gen is really awesome, you have a built in mic to and I use this thing for EVERYTHING. yes it is way better but I wanna tell ya too, the iPod touch 5gen might be coming out soon so I'd look up on that before you buy the 4gen. you can also read the reviews on Cnet.com .

and yes I can do everything but the chatrooms with it, so it's pretty cool for a little thing. exspensive but worth it.

Lite mobile version of the forum should be available very soon (hopefully next week), since the new version of the forum software that we are upgrading to includes that. And sometime soon they will have an actual mobile app, for the forum.

A mobile version or mobile app is planned when we redo our whole chat app, and redoing our chat app is a lot of work. You are welcome to support that work. :)

I just found out in class today, Apple demands 30% of the income of whatever APPs are developed for their products...
dunno how that would transfer to something like this

It takes money to develop an app in the first place, whether t'is the time for labor or whatever. So I doubt Apple getting a cut would be that big a hindrance. The biggest hindrance is the money it takes to fund the time and development of such an app.

Lotsa folks want stuff, but it takes funds to make that stuff happen.

Unless it's FOSS ;)
Generally they don't get any funds at all, just a lot of users contributing their time and effort. Of course there are some exceptions with Joomla plugins.

You might want to see if you can rally up some support over at #android / #christian on freenode IRC network. Some developers with nothing better to do might be willing to help you out.

Good idea. But that seems to still involve a certain level of trust........Seeing they'll need access to umm..'stuff'.
