I am sick. A summer cold or something. It started off being a sore throat, then moved to a cough, now it's my sinuses and my head feels like it's going to burst and more than anything I wish that I could stuff tissues up my nose at work and still be considered professional and socially acceptable. (Edited to add: Actually, more than anything I wish I could breathe through my nose)

And everything wears me out. I went grocery shopping today, then came home and did dishes and cleaned and now I just feel like I could go to bed and sleep until next Tuesday.

I was finally able to have some soup. I just want to stop hurting. I want the healing to begin. I want God's grace and mercy.

It's rained three times in the last week. I have no idea why that's on my mind...it isn't raining right now. I'm awake when I din't want to be because the baby keeps thinking it's time to growl. There's a kangaroo in my living room and my head kinda hurts. I dozed off, so I don't know if maybe the kangaroo punched me or I just don't drink enough water. I have restless legs, but I'm not convinced it's a bad thing, because at least I HAVE legs. This hasn't always been true. The restless part; I've always had legs.

I sure wish this kid would go back to sleep.

And that I had a potato gun...sure would like to kill me some taters.

...yeah, I think it's past my bed time.

I can relate to this. I grew up in So Cal and honestly can say that I'd prefer to live in earthquake country than hurricane/tornado country any day. At least if an earthquake destroys your home everything is still there whereas if a hurricane/ tornado destroys your home chances are most of your belongings are scattered over a three or four county region.
Is there no way to safeguard houses against a hurricane/tornado? Like having stronger structures, etc. I am not mocking or anything, I am just trying to understand.

no. and its not always the wind that causes the damage, its the stuff the wind picks up.

it's nice when therapists make you even more scared, it shows they care.

Sorry to hear that, Lav. :( (hugs)

The good news is that you don't have to be afraid with God on your side..

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
(Isaiah 54:17 KJV)

Lav, your post about the therapist scares me since my sister booked me an appointment for next week and I'm in introvert. It is VERY difficult for me to speak to anyone about anything. I just look and smile and say "I'm okay."

My sister came down with something like that last Friday. Hopefully everyone starts to feel better.

I was painting my nails the other day and asked my Husband if he liked the color, he said, it's nice. I asked him why he never says anything about makeup that I put on sometimes or nail polish? He does tell me I look nice, but I mean I just wondered what he thought, he said, "I guess because you don't need it. If you put a little on, it's fine, you never put to much on, and that's good. God doesn't want us to cover ourselves up with all that stuff and like I said, I like you without it."

I actually was astonished. In 15 years he's never said that to me, never. I felt really, really good. I was so happy to know that he likes the natural me.
