Those who go around saying Obama is to busy to address this issue is lost in false median reports.

Obama is working on a strategy for Isis in Syria and Iraq, but is working with others in the area to take the lead on this and that we would be just air support.

Those of you who want something done now, and want to up and rush into this would be making the same mistake the Bushes made. They rushed in, in all out war and kept our soldiers over there longer than they should have for what ?

Nothing was accomplished, and Iraq is again under siege. Iraq needs to figure out their own governmental system to keep this from happening over and over again. They need to be able to fight their own battles with out us having to come in and wipe the advisory out all the time.

When it comes to Syria, remember Obama wanted to go into Syria, the American public told him not to.

Now you are all crying because he hasn't.
He should not handle it alone, like he has said all along, and is working behind the scenes and not letting it be known publically what all is being done.

I would rather see my president and congress be hush hush about any plans to go in as either aid or to war. Then lay all their cards out to the media that those who are against us have access to as well.

Example: How many people in the public eye knew about seal team six that went in and got Bin Laden before it actually happened. Nobody in the media or public eye.
Or was it the mistake of leaving Iraq early?
Or was it the mistake of arming the Syrian rebels against Assad?
Or was it the mistake of drawing red lines and then showing weakness by backing off?

Now you want Iraq to go it alone..."They need to be able to fight their own battles with out us ",...
but not America..."He should not handle it alone, like he has said all along".

I know, it's the ol rah rah rah for my libs regardless.

Yes, but you have others who keep constantly going around saying the president is doing nothing.

They sadly are projects of listening to bias or false media reports, especially those of a group of republicans who want nothing but to rush in to a war again and make the same old mistakes done during the Bushes administrations.

People say the President is doing nothing, ISIS complains the President is doing too much. Seems to me President Obama is doing enough and doing as much as he can as President. He is only President, supporters and detractors of Obama have the problem of overestimating his powers of office. The Congress, specifically the Senators are more to watch on US foreign policy. Not that we ought to underestimate President Obama either for he is the Commander-in Chief of US military, but merely President Obama is not some tyrant, he has a record of working pretty bipartisanly with even some of his biggest GOP foes on foreign policy and letting the Senate and House have a heavy hand in war and peace strategy.

EDIT: Also don't mind those GOPers, a lot of them complain about Obama because of the elections and fact the control of the Senate is fair game this go around so they can't appear to their rabid partyist supporters either one of them to be too friendly with the other lol. Away from the public eye though I'd wager they agree and vote for and line-up with Obama on a good amount of the plans dealing with ISIS, Syria, Iraq, and Ukraine.

Well, Crossnote,
my take is that the USA is being given up to a reprobate mind. We are not eligible for God's wisdom.
Leaving Iraq? Now this is just IMHO:
Bush I knew how to fight a war; you go in, you stomp, you leave.
The Assyrians knew how to fight a war: you go in, you stomp, you put a stooge on the throne & put the country to paying you tribute; then you leave. You let 'em know that when they miss a payment, you will be back.
The USA goes in, stomps, then horses around until they figure out some way to get nothing out of it but potshots.

The Syrians:
After Bush II initially stomped Iraq, these guys were scared of us. Now we can see it was better to leave Assad & Gaddafi in place -- better than ISIS.

Drawing Red lines?
Did the Potus ever do that one (except vs drilling for oil)? Refresh my memory.
I recall creating long lines -- of persons coming across the border!
I recall Netanyahu talking about red lines, but it seemed to fizzle on Iran.

Is the moral of the story, if you fool around long enough you will find a way to foul something up?

I hope for the Rapture.

The antichrist will take stage as the peace maker. Soon, something will strike the arab countries sooo hard they will be just existing and afraid of being wiped out of existence, Like an air strike by the USA and Israel, and will CRY for a peace treaty. "The king of the south" Egypt ? will become the peace maker, He had been spared from the disaster, and will be powerful enough to make the other arab nations agree to a peace for 7 yrs. Israel rebuilds their temple, "peace and safety". then 3.5 yrs. later Jesus raptures the Church and "sudden destruction" comes upon the whole world. "The king of the South" is indwelt by Satan and he becomes the antichrist. The thing that triggers the rapture is the northern invasion of Russia and China, to destroy the King of the South. The King of the South marches North but Jesus destroys the Northern invasion with His rapture. FAST forward 3.5yrs. after the massacre of Israel, Jesus returns and wipes out the armies of the whole world coming to destroy Israel, the remaining Jews see Jesus and the nation of Israel are all saved as they look upon their Messiah Jesus. Love Hoffco

IRaq has been left to its own devices, it has not been given any help to stop the internal conflicts since the overthrown of Saddam Hussain. Iraq continually sees the attempted ethnic cleansing of neighbourhoods by both Sunni and Shias, along with the ethnic cleansing attempt to remove Kurds and Christians by same groups, so why expect help to prevent the Islamic State?

I would not be surprised if Obama has brokered a deal with the IS, that they do not make any moves to take Baghdad and halt their advance in Iraq, but they will be allowed to sweep down through Syria and Jordan.

Supporters of Palestine will not shed any tears at Jordan being overrun as the Jordanian government hate Palestinians and systematically slaughters, imprisons and deports these people. The notorious terrorist group Black September was formed specifically to attack Jordanian government in response to its slaughter of the Palestinians. Infact, I can see most terrorist groups temporarily siding with the the IS to overthrow King Abdullah II.

Why single out the Islamic State? could be the speed at which it has moved combined with its birth born out of the Syrian conflict, being funded by America and other Western nations. AS Far as I am concerned we should just leave the Islamic State alone and let the Arab nations deal with it, its not our fight. This is what Arabs have been doing to each other for hundreds of years, before Israel came along which temporarily untied many nations who otherwise would be fighting each other over whatever.

Where was our response to helping the Christians being slaughtered and ethnically cleansed from Northern Sudan? Where is our response in taking out Boko Haram who are carving out thier own Islamic state in the North of Nigeria? So why suddenly become concerned about an Islamic group doing exactly the same in middle East?

Answer: OIL!!!!!!

Or was it the mistake of leaving Iraq early?

The Iraq people did not want us there, nor did we need to be there run their country. They need to learn to run their own country properly.

Or was it the mistake of arming the Syrian rebels against Assad?

This is what they are yelling at Obama for, for not arming them.

Or was it the mistake of drawing red lines and then showing weakness by backing off?

Obama did not show weakness, he wanted to go in, the majority of the American public said no. He listened to the citizens of the U.S. and stayed out of Syria.

Now you want Iraq to go it alone..."They need to be able to fight their own battles with out us ",...
but not America..."He should not handle it alone, like he has said all along".

Did I say for them to go at it alone, no I did not.
I said we should be just air support, no boots on the ground and not the main country going in and being the front runner in another war.
Iraq and other countries need to learn and build their own governmental systems, and learn how to protect each other over there against terrorism, and dictator's instead of wanting the U.S. to bail them out every time.

What the Bushes did showed does not work, there has to be more effort and ability by those countries to step up and develop and take care of their own issues. We are not to go in, and stay in there because they can't.
Troops being over there for over 10 years, even though the war was over is ridiculous.

I set the counter on this video to start at the 39:52 mark since that is where Obama begins the speech, but it didn't take. Just move the video cursor along to that point and it should start there.

In fairness Obama shouldn't tell the American people anything he's planning with our U.S and allied forces that would hit ISIS. Otherwise, they could prepare to defend. However, that he talks tough about ISIS just recently and then softens in the same news conference a few moments later and talks about "managing" the situation, is ridiculous.

Why not do like Bush43 did. Create playing cards of the ISIS targets. Only put a bounty on the face of each one. Warren Buffett has the money to pay that. As do that top 1% that Obama's politics pander to. Putting up their cash as a bounty to save the world from the richest terrorist threat the world has ever seen, which threatens them too, and God knows big wigs who own media outlets can't afford to lose reporters in Syria, is just good business.

Because taking and putting out pretty much wanted posters is not the way to go either.
We should not be taking, and start supporting the ideal of letting vigilantes lead the fight or go after these targets as well.
This would not be a long term answer, which is what Obama and the others who have been in talks of a strategy want.
Not a quick solution that solves nothing but wipe out the immediate threat, but leaves the door open to another threat to come in. They want a solution that will work long term, get rid of immediate threat and prevent future threats from happening causing us to have to come and do this all over again.

Why would you post this lie a Christian forum?

I think it is reprehensible. And reason many websites forbid Live Leak articles to be posted at their sites.

That article might as well say of its author that they are a terrorist collaborator. James Foley's widow and children grieve. That's not fake. That's a tragic testimony caused by a real terrorist with a real knife who insured on camera, that that reporter's last report would be himself making headlines; daddy isn't coming home anymore.

If we read bible prophecy, we know what is going to happen to them. Let God arise, his enemies be scattered and made his footstool. They will have a rude awakening.
I agree, but will add....after much destruction..........
