There are 777 registered members from SA. Granted not all, or possibly most, are active. But, as stated, they are on the site. Most don't seem to often use the forums. And some of the ones i have seen recently have suddenly disappeared.

Hindi, is basically because I'm indian and I have a bit of that background from my granny(uma) and grandpa(thatha).
Indian slang comes from the community I come from, which is mostly indian and it's that "Durban Indian Slang". I don't use it unless I'm joking around...
I thought i noticed an Indian look to you. But i know SA is pretty large and diverse culturally, so i wasn't sure. I'm still trying to get a grasp on how there are so many languages and dialects and cultures in one country. And the racial mix as well. Very confusing for those of us who haven't traveled outside of the US, or been exposed to much culture outside the US.
I've spoken with others with heritages in other countries and it is still difficult for me to understand some of the things that are different.
Yeah, we are a pretty diversified nation... a lot of people create the perception that it's all wild life and lions roaming around here lol... there's a whole lot of history behind how Indians got to South Africa but lets leave that for another day

Yeah. I held that perspective too. I mean, i knew there were more modern areas of Africa, but i perceived them as few and far between haha. Though it didn't help that perspective that my first friend from SA lived in Botswana. Kind of reinforced the idea until she moved, hahaha.

Botswana is a part of Africa... Many parts of Africa are developing but South Africa, I would say has a fast pace economy as apposed to other countries in Africa. Google pictures of Sandton in Johannesburg, South Africa (I work here)... Also I belong to Rivers church... apart of the Hillsong Family...
