Will it help the US president´s unpopularity?

Will it help Christemdom in that area?

Why are we against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria?

As far as I know, Governments where Christianity is the majority, are the only ones who tolerate other religious beliefs.....could be wrong........but I can't think of any exceptions right now.......

I am against them...........those you mentioned, because of how they treat their people and those who do not abide by their version of Islam....

In the past the Islamic world was quite tolerant of Christianity. The Christian priests were the learned ones knowing many languages.

But then again, that's when the entire Christian world was Roman Catholic.

The Egyptian goddess ISIS is a different animal than today's ISIS.

I know of no country that has ever had any Christian majority.

Is it ISIS or ISIL?

The Islamic State (IS) (Arabic: الدولة الإسلامية‎ ad-Dawlah l-ʾIslāmiyyah), formerly the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. - Wickedpedia.

Is it that the name has evolved:
1) I Salami Sandwich of . . . hold on thar, let's tra agin,

1) Islamic State of Iraq & Syria
(not big enough)

2) Islamic State of Iraq & the Levant ISIL
(I think that's what the OBomber calls it)
(not big enough)

3) The Islamic State
(the only state in the world!)

I don't know where this one is going. The course of History can be hard to foresee. I figure the the current POTUS thought he could get the US out of war, but no luck.

IMHO:

I don't expect the logical, but logically the USA Congers would declare war, the USA would go in & stomp 'em, then leave, all in about a week.

I can't see any good alternative to Assad in Syria at the moment. Can anyone think of something which is not worse than Assad in Syria?

The fact that the US funded, trained, and supplied ISIS though-out their infancy in 2012-2013... History repeats itself... We trained Al-Qaeda in 1980's... We trained ISIS in 2012... Think we would learn to stop training people how to take out world powers... Kinda seems like they could stab us in the back... Or maybe our Govt. is run-away and they want this... IMHO I think its the later...

I didn't realize that "we" trained ISIS. Are you sure? What is the proof of that one? You reckon Area 51 has a camp for training ISIL? If their infancy is 2012-13, when will they reach adulthood? What have they been eating?

Before you discredit that link, look at the sources...
Also I would like to add, to poke fun of a something someone said by referencing it to what the common culture deems as stupid does not disprove a topic.

Also the word infancy means
the early stage in the development or growth of something."opinion polls were in their infancy"
synonyms: beginnings, early days, early stages;
(Merriam-Webster Dictionary.)

I think that they have reached adulthood since they have successfully taken 2 countries as of now.

They have been eating U.S. federal notes, military weapons, and training... That builds stronger bones than milk.
