Hello All,

I am working on a project and would appreciate any input you may have. What do you think the Christian Community needs or is missing? Before posting your response, think of the Christian Community as your neighborhood, what would you say that the Christian community is missing on a physical point of view?

One example could be that when you look at the Christian community, we do not have our own internet service provider.

Please understand that this is not an agree to disagree or a discussion topic. All I am looking for is your opinion on what you think the Christian community needs and do not have on a physical point of view. It is ok to disagree with someone's opinion, but you do not have need to respond to his/her opinion.

The Christian community is missing a large element of SOUL WINNING. Preaching against SIN. Preaching the gospel! Instead we have a bunch of silent churches.....and many promoting a false gospel.....and many operating under the influence of demons....


“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is
in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.” 2 Corinthians 11:3-4

Thank you so much for responding to my topic and I appreciate your response.

I concur that the Christian community, on a spiritual point of view, is missing "a large number of SOUL WINNING." There's truly a need for sound preaching against sin, false doctrines (i.e. Rev. Moon who claims that Christ failed in His mission to save the World and that he (Rev. Moon) is now the new messiah who will save mankind. And btw, his he has one of the biggest mega churches in the world), and false prophesy.

Salvation comes by grace though the means of faith (Ephesians 2:8). Faith comes by hearing and hearing comes from the Word of God (Romans 10:17). One can only hear the Word of God when someone preaches it. So we really do need to go out there and preach the truth about the Word of God to those who do not believe.

Since the purpose of this topic is to get some opinion on the materialistic point of view of what the church is missing, let's try to stay on topic. I have made some changes on my original post to reflect what kind of responses I am looking for.

i think the christian community needs to stop tryin to please men and think about what pleases God. So many are so caught up in 'religion' they have forgotten what God asks of us and many hearts have gotten hard and they think they are ok because they are so religious, dangerous territory i say

I think maybe I am not very clear on the kind of answers I am looking for. What I am looking for falls within the answer of this question: what does the christian community do to impact the christian community more? One example could be the creation of a "Christian Board of Education."

In what way would you say the church could approach this lack of unity. Not so much in the spiritual realm but in term of action, creating, or building something.

Action-preaching the gospel to every creature
Creating-websites, computers, etc that spreads the gospel
building something-maybe more Bibles. So that the Word can get out to as many people as possible...

The point is clear. Harvest field is ready. Not enough harvesters in the field. We need PHYSICAL means, ideas, and substance that will lead more Christian community members preaching the gospel.

"Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. " Matthew 9:37-38

In what way, in term of service, can you think of that Christians can fill that missing gap that will serve, not just christians around you, the Christian community as a whole?

Roaring kitten is hitting the nail on the head. The Christian Community does not need more social programs. It needs the preaching of the Word of God.. The Preaching of the Cross is to them that perish foolishness but to us who are saved it is the power of God...
The Christian Community has gotten away from the Christian Church. The pulpits are being replaced by drum sets and the soul stirring songs of the faith are being replaced by chourses with rock beats..
We do not need programs. God chose to save by the foolishness of preaching...that is what we need...more pulpits with God fearing Preachers behind them.
We need the saved to get on their knees before a Holy God and search their hearts to eradicate anything false, that does not line up with the Pure Word of God.....We need a burden for souls....We need to see Gethsemane, with a Savior pouring out his soul for the lost world...We need just a tiny glimps of hell.
How many of your loved ones, neighbors and friends have you told about The life-giving blood of the Savior????That is what the Christian Community needs.

hehe id say the christian community needs everything God has given us. well the thing is, we 'people' just dont accept what God is giving us lol.
its there we just dont grab it for some selfish reAsons. so hmm i say .. i agree with cmw,, its time to forget ourselves and give our 100 % on God. and EVERYTHING will follow. if we let HIM lead the way...

Yes....Rosinsky, I would say that CC in not a need.
The fellowship of believers should primarily come from within the local church. Unfortunately, the local church is not what it should be in a lot of places. The edification of the body of Christ is missing.CC is nice..it is fun...it is a help...but it is not a need.If you are only getting your fellowship from people on this site whom you do not really know, then you are missing the real element of fellowship. Paul longed to be with the churches he was writing to...not just write to them.
I suggest to all believers to find a local church that stands on the truth of the Word of God and draw your primary fellowship from there.Your prayer partners are there, your support in times of need are there...not out in cyberspace with people who may or may not stand on the same Doctrinal truths you hold to.
In all honesty, you do not know me...I could be some nut-case who get's her/his kicks pretending to be some Christian who cares about people.But I am not...??? Really..I am a Christian Mom who cares..and suggests to you to get your fellowship, strength, counsel from the local church...from a trusted, know Preacher of The Word of God...
