How would you? As a christian single, what would change? Transform?

Something would. Everything would. Nothing would. ? ? ?

What are you doing now (don't need to get to personal please) and how wouid you live different? And, as Steve Jobs, the just-passed Apple CEO said back in 1984 for his re-entrance to that then nearly bankrupt company, how would you...

Think Different

.......?........
Told you had a terminal illness, what would you do IF you only had 365 days more to live ?

Are we guaranteed those 365 days? I mean, what if you get that news then you die the next day?
Are you saying we cannot die and then will suddenly die on the 365th day?

If we would have no chance of dying for those 365 days then I would go to the worst hell holes on earth and read the bible aloud page by page while people beat me and shot me and I couldn't die.

But if there is still a chance I would die before the 365 days then I would probably just eat a lot of taco bell and waste all my money.

why does it matter?

The Parable of the Rich Fool

13 Someone in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.” 14 Jesus replied, “Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you?” 15 Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”
16 And he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. 17 He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’
18 “Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. 19 And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”’
20 “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’
21 “This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.”

Great quote, deej, but, yes, the doctor has given his prognostication and chemo is too late, and, the doctor says 'no' to.you when you say prayer will help.

So, yeah, this doctor, and, the two others you saw for 2nd opinions ALL say you only got 365 days to live, maybe a few less, maybe a few more, but not many more and not many less. Doctor reclarifies, saying , you could die sooner too, depends on how fast the disease spreads.

Hope that explains things better, deej :). Your answers are appreciated. Odd , I say, your answers, but if TIME , to you matters, ok, then.

Yeah, ritt, I have thought about 'campaigns' to, like helping the poor in some way.

I am not completely sure of all Occupy Wall Street is but I am asking God to be with those on the streetsIF they are doing Kingdom things by rebelling against our feudal class system.
I don't want to change my thread so I will stop there and just do another thread on that subject :)

But, yeah, deej, I would want to Di many things if doctor have me one year to live. I definitely, at least I don't think I would do nothing though IF I was not guaranteed at least a year as I think I heard you saying.
How long I had would not matter, the Lord leads, but I would want to begin immediately doing Kingdom Things, whatever He would have them be, starting first with family and moving my sphere of influence from there.

I don't think the word 'martyr' would be a bad word to describe me either, maybe like Stephen, in Acts, or, Mel Gibson, in Braveheart, or, hmmm, idk, makes one think for sure doesn't it.

Alright, this seems kind of like I'm arguing with God's plan for my life and complaining, but it was the first thing I came up with that sounded interesting.

Okay, so I've got chronic pain and mobility issues from spine injuries and other complications and I miss out on a lot of things.

I'd have the doctor's give me all the medications that would make it possible to function better and without as much pain; the ones they've hesitated to give me because they'd kill me (shorten my life-span) or negatively affect me in my senior years (or grow horns from my temples or otherwise mutate me).

Then, I would go out and live. I don't mean live like a wild-woman. I'd spend my time with family and friends, doing things together, experiencing life, traveling, making new friends, trying new things and meeting a few people that I've talked with online.

I will spend every moment of my life glorifying God. Affecting every person I could reach. Maximize everything that I have by means of sharing and making people realize how great God is.

Also, there are certain people in my past that I would wish to feel with and speak with. Watch a sun set with them and just listen. If I could make them feel, truly feel what it feels like in that moment. Knowing that my voice, my face will be gone. I just really want to have an effect on them. So I have some people in mind to share those moments with, because even though I would be dying, those moments make me feel the most alive.

Is it better to just rewrite a new thread?
