FYI. Those who do not have any musical education may not be able to comprehend this dream concerning a 7[SUP]th[/SUP] chord.

I had a dream last night. After awaking I laid there for a time trying to understand the dream because usually I cannot remember what I dreamed, but this one got my attention like a few others that I have had. So this is the setting.

I found myself in a music store admiring very unique instruments, designed with antique qualities and black in color. Some instruments were familiar, and some were such as I had never seen before. In the corner was something that appeared like a piano, but I didn't actually see the keyboard. It was upright, square, but the design was impeccable, with astounding beauty. It appeared to be made from iron, crafted with intricate designs of perfection all around. At a distance I was unable to appreciate its finite details, but it drew my total attention, resembling nothing like I have ever have seen before in my entire life.

A lady that was employed at the store walked toward me smiling, and said “I see that this instrument has mesmerized you with its beauty.” I acknowledged with a smile. She had long black hair that matched the color of her modest long black dress she was waring made from fine twined silk. While walking toward this musical instrument she turned to me stated, “It is beautiful but it has a flaw and doesn't play right.” Then she added, “I'll show you.”

She began to play the song “Faith is the victory.” It sounded real good until the chorus began. She had played a seventh note with the first chord that doesn't belong with the beginning of the word faith in the chorus. She stopped playing, and said, “This happens all the time, and this instrument never plays this song right at this precise spot every time.” It was obvious to me that this wasn't a flaw in the musical instrument but rather a flaw in the way she played the chord progression.

Seven is the number of heavenly completeness, but the seventh note doesn't work (being alone) with first mention of faith in the chorus. (James 2:17) Nevertheless the first mention of faith is in the number one chord of the chorus, being the first and the beginning. The seventh note added to a chord progression always indicates that there is more music that must follow. The next word in the chorus is “victory,” and the tune demands a seventh note for the fullness of the musical composition. So the completion of the heavenly comes with “victory” and then the fullness of “faith” follows, also played with the seventh note by adding “victory” to “faith.” Then at the ending of that simple progression, even before the song is finished, “victory” is played with the first major chord that the song began with.

I corrected the lady dressed in black as the other customers in the store started to listen to our conversation. After she was able to comprehend where the mistake was, I sat down to another piano and began to play the chorus with her and all the people in the store sang along. The next seventh note was played just before the finishing of the song as we all sang the word “overcomes.” The three part harmony was the most beautiful that I had ever heard coming from common folk. When we had finished the song the rejoicing, shouting, and clapping created an atmosphere that caused the blackness to be totally overwhelmed by the joyous atmosphere.

(John 7:24 and 2 Corinthians 10:7)

There are 3 things to notice.
1. What does the black musical instrument represent?
2. Who does the woman dressed in black represent?
3. What does the chord progression of the song represent?

Wow Just-me, what an awesome dream!

I don't know much about musical notes but while reading about your dream one passage and a few other verses came to mind.

Zephaniah 3:1 Woe to her that is filthy and polluted, to the oppressing city!
Zephaniah 3:2 She obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in the LORD; she drew not near to her God.
Zephaniah 3:3 Her princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they gnaw not the bones till the morrow.
Zephaniah 3:4 Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.
Zephaniah 3:5 The just LORD is in the midst thereof; he will not do iniquity: every morning doth he bring his judgment to light, he faileth not; but the unjust knoweth no shame.
Zephaniah 3:6 I have cut off the nations: their towers are desolate; I made their streets waste, that none passeth by: their cities are destroyed, so that there is no man, that there is none inhabitant.
Zephaniah 3:7 I said, Surely thou wilt fear me, thou wilt receive instruction; so their dwelling should not be cut off, howsoever I punished them: but they rose early, and corrupted all their doings.
Zephaniah 3:8 Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.
Zephaniah 3:9 For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent.
Zephaniah 3:10 From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering.
Zephaniah 3:11 In that day shalt thou not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee them that rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be haughty because of my holy mountain.
Zephaniah 3:12 I will also leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD.
Zephaniah 3:13 The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.
Zephaniah 3:14 Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.

Psalms 57:7 My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.

I believe that those who worship in truth and in spirit are moving into that pure (one language) heartfelt and God inspired praise.

I've always tied the verse from Psalm 40, "He has put a new song in my mouth," "Praise to our God," as being a joyful heart. "The joy of the Lord is my strength."

With the times that we are in and with much uncertainty and confusion in the media, as well as other places.

I believe that the Lord is taking us to that place where we trust in HIM fully. "Faith is the Victory!" And with that real and true and living faith those who are His will sing in one accord, no matter where they are located on this earth! (John 17)

Singing songs during trials is a theme in the scriptures, from the Last Supper, where they sang hymns. Jesus, knowing what awaited HIM.

And Paul and Silas in prison, singing when the chains fell off and the doors were opened.

Acts 16:25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
Acts 16:26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.

I fully believe that this is very significant right now.

Amen. For heavenly completeness to be given to us, by our loving Savior, there are experiences we need to endure and understanding we need to have according to scripture, identifying things that just don't match according to God's plan given to us through His Word. Why did the woman not understand at the beginning that it was her mistake and not that the instrument's? God has revealed it to me, but it is good to let this question go unanswered for now for the sake of food for thought and discernment.
