Sounds like your friend, needs help, along with you if that's " your friend ", gets baptized and drinks, watches tv??? ..Then he can't resist and you watched him have intercourse with his " prostitute " girlfriend, did you buy sex from her that night to?? Adultery? Sounds like a orgy or something your describing ... Sounds like all involved need to commit themselves to Jesus, don't think water will help here either...
Where did he say anything you just accused him of?

You should repent of this and ask his forgiveness.

I didn't accuse him of anything ... I see question marks, and assumption by what was stated...
And " again " those verses say nothing of water.., but baptized in Jesus, again it's simple.

you seem to be living in a dream world...your friend got baptised because someone asked him to....the scripture teaches...we hear the word ...we believe the word...we ...repent and is baptised for the remission of sins...not because your girlfriend mom ask you to
If you mom ask you to have genuine faith in Jesus and you do, Is that make you save or not?

So the house of Cornelius were baptized twice "in Jesus"?

and are you saying being baptized "in Jesus" is HS baptism? if so why two baptisms?

I'm tired of explaining your verses you pop back and forth " like a Ping pong ball " through scripture instead of reading the books as they are written, explain the ones I quoted where " Paul laid hands and they received the Holy Spirit ".

No, you lift scripture out of context, if it were in context, it would not be in contradiction elsewhere in the books.

You some how equate the receiving of the HS to being baptized for the remission of sins, the 12 in acts 19 were not saved by laying on of Paul's hands, they were saved by being baptized by the baptism "authorized" by Jesus Acts 19:5, they were not baptized "by Jesus".

Acts 19:5 (NKJV) When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

in the only baptism authorized by our Lord Jesus, where to these 12 do you see a HS baptism?

2 Timothy 1:6
Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

Acts 8:17 - Then laid they [their] hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

Acts 6:6 - Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid [their] hands on them.

Matthew 12:36 - But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

I won't be arguing, I've shown the truth of the matter.. If you want to deny truth, up to you..

I asked you where the baptism of the HS was with the 12 disciples in Acts 19, you give me two more examples of Apostles laying on of hands, so with those two, can you show me the HS baptism?, laying on of hands is not baptism, receiving the HS and baptized with the HS are two different things, unless you can show scriptural they are, if they are, then why didn't Peter just lay his hands on Cornelius?

Another way to word the question is, why did Peter "not" have to lay hands on Cornelius, if laying on of the Apostles hands is HS baptism?

How many authorized versions of baptism do you believe there are? (Hint is in Eph. 4:5)

This is just getting foolish now, if you receive it, get baptized with it, get it under water, get it in church, if the Holy Spirit slaps you on this forum, and you don't realize it till you see your old friends or old life, " and feel the change in your mind and heart ". Do you think it matters to me the difference of how you got it? It's great for a personal testimony, other then that why would it effect anyone any different, rather it be received or baptized, even though it's the same thing.

I am not surprised it is getting frustrating for you, it is because when you look at N.T. baptism, it only teaches three, two of which only Jesus can do (H.S. and fire) and one authorized by Jesus for the disciples to do Matt 28:19, the only one that saves, the one baptism of Eph. 4:5 (water) and why Peter told the house of Cornelius to be baptized by water in Acts 10:47-48

I'm not getting frustrated, I'm tired of going over and over, the same subject, nothing I say will change your mind, " it's a vain topic ", for you... So only Jesus can do what He did right? Are you telling me He isn't alive, Jesus never left these powers with the Apostles who wrote the " living word of God " through the Holy Spirit? Romans 10:9 says if I confess Lord Jesus, and believe God raised him from the dead, I'm saved! Are you a better apostle then they, that your words are greater then Gods? I don't see where it says bring two gallons of water with me when I do this... Gods words stand for themselves, don't need your opinion on the matter.. Plenty verses that show exactly what was meant when He said there's one mightier then me, that will baptize you with the Holy Spirit, this was NEEDED before Jesus... After NOT NEEDED.. If I need repentance I go straight to Jesus and His blood with it, I don't go to water with my problems...

Rom. 10:9-10 says we must confess Christ is the son of the living God, it says we will be saved, but it does not say "only", Mark 16:16 also says if we are baptized we will be saved, but baptism alone also will not save you so there is no one thing that will save you, if you "believe" on Him, you roll all these salvific sayings of His into one, if you don't obey all he commands you cannot believe on Him.

Are you a better apostle then they, that your words are greater then Gods? I don't see where it says bring two gallons of water with me when I do this... If water baptism was only needed before Jesus, not after, why was Paul water baptized? (Acts 22:16) why did Peter tell Cornelius to be water baptized? (Acts 10:47-48) were these chosen Apostles confused?

I'm not going on and on, what I will say I bear the fruit, I walk in the Spirit, I have all of these fruits in abundance..
Dont need one word from you to tell me otherwise, I live it Jabberjaw, I walk the walk.. For you to say any different would not be truth, and a insult to me " by saying I'm not saved " the miracles that happened to me OVERNIGHT, is a farce, and just can't happen without water, IS FALSE, so maybe you should go back in prayer, and ask God, how can this be, ..without water? I tell you this out of love or I would just let you ramble on, and think what you want, be blessed in truth Jabberjaw

Galatians 5:22-23

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

that is rubbish...only one group in the verse is saved ...whosoever believe and is baptised shall be saved....

excuse me, this isn't rubbish but the plain facts.

what the verse teaches is marked in red. what's impossible is crossed out and what's affirmed is written in red.
what it says nothing about at all is left in blue.

image-1.jpg

this verse alone, isolated from the rest of the Bible, does not give enough information to answer whether a person who believes, but isn't baptized, has salvation or not.

lucky for us Christ's teaching extend beyond one single verse, isn't it!

I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live,
and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?

(John 11:25-26)

now you can fill in the rest of the chart. everyone who believes and confesses that Jesus Christ is Lord has eternal life.
:)

I care about you Brain Freeze, and I don't want you to take my word for this, please look over what I have shown from the bible, if I am wrong I want to be right, but we must be careful we are not miss lead by some man made doctrine, these are of false teachers.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15 (NKJV)
13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

Follow the doctrine of Christ, the Bible "only the Bible".

Do I sound like a minister of darkness? Do I sound like I have a evil intent, or getting paid for this... I'm here, writing this on a Saturday evening, we've been at this all day.. Just you and me.. Everybody that bumped in agreed with me, I have better things to do then go round and round, I'm not going to say your a agent of satan though because you like water so much, I'm just going to say you've been deceived, or you misguided yourself, and I'm trying to get you back on track, as I said BAPTISM IS GOOD, JUST NOT NECESSARY, Jesus and His blood and His truth is what will save you, waters good to drink, shower, and swim in...

I've shown the verses, I've shown you answering your on questions, I've told you a partial testimony, go back over it, and pray on it. Receiving and being baptized with Holy Spirit is different you say, How? When the verses say just that, by laying of the hands they received it... " baptized in Jesus" But yet you keep saying no, that's wrong, only Jesus could do that, How, are you saying Jesus has to physically come down here and put hands on you, or water? Your saying the Bible written by the Spirit is lying? Com'on with this false water doctrine, give it up, Jesus saves not water...

Acts 2:38 - Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

If this says nothing to you, then go along with your vain water preaching, nothing I can help you with.
