DUDE...this shows your total ignorance of and understanding of what I and the bible teaches...so I will lay it out one more time...
ok
SAVING FAITH SAVES and MAKES ONE A CHILD OF GOD period....NO WORKS CAN BE DONE TO FACILITATE SALVATION as that is the WORK OF GOD THROUGH JESUS.
so you are saying a dead faith(faith without works) makes one a child of God?

I HAVE NEVER SAID NOR TAUGHT THAT A SAVED CHILD OF GOD WILL BE VOID OF WORKS which are the PRODUCT OF BIBLICAL SALVATION.
ok

YOU ON THE OTHER HAND TEACH THAT WORKS ARE PART OF AND NEEDED FOR SALVATION WHICH ACCORDING TO PAUL who wrote almost half of the N.T. is a GOSPEL OF A DIFFERENT KIND with NO power to SAVE and is double CURSED to HELL.
Romans 16:25-27King James Version (KJV)
[SUP]25 [/SUP]Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
[SUP]26 [/SUP]But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

[SUP]27 [/SUP]To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

So...keep on trusting into a GOSPEL of a DIFFERENT KIND which has NO POWER and you will find yourself LOST and condemned to hell. PERIOD!
Romans 1:3-6King James Version (KJV)
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
[SUP]4 [/SUP]And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
[SUP]5 [/SUP]By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:

THE PHARISEES believed what you believe and TEACH and were called white washed COFFINS filled with the bones of DEAD MEN and they would NOT BE ALLOWED to be where JESUS IS.
Acts 5:31-33King James Version (KJV)
[SUP]31 [/SUP]Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
[SUP]32 [/SUP]And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

[SUP]33 [/SUP]When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.

Hear the word-->believe the word-->saved, justified and sanctified-->allows JESUS to do the WORK through YOU <--true gospel
no obedience here...

FAITH+WORKS saves YOU <---FALSE GOSPEL condemned by the BOOK of GALATIANS = LOST and on your way to hell!

James 1:22
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
I was a sinner before I came to Christ newbirth, I know, I still feel unworthy of this " gift " sometimes. I had to take some hard knocks, and be broken so He could build me up, that's where Jesus does His best, when I was at my worst. I was a grown man with hard thoughts, only Christ could amass this construction. He didn't like my works I can assure you, He knew I was lost, very lost, in a big wicked world, He set trials before me, and I made the right decisions " without faith,I had a good heart deep down, I questioned Him, I did have the belief to question Him. I just didn't have the faith yet ..like how Peter fell into the water because He took His eyes off Jesus.

I was pretty sinful and wicked though, I didn't care about myself, How much do you think I cared about others? What " good work got me back to Jesus " ? It was a gift after I came begging and pleading before Christ to forgive me for what I've done over the years, and He is a just God... Instantly filled with the Spirit, that produced fruit, that let me do works. I hope you can understand this

Still blind to the obvious truth you are, and you are running out of time for sure!

Tragic that you will die in your sins while trusting into yourself and your abilities.......believing a gospel with no power while misunderstanding the basic tenant of faith towards the completed work of Christ! Deceived and deceiving with a heretical teaching!

Everybody who debate's against not doing nothing always like to bring up Galatians, but the problem with that is that what it is referring to in the law we are not under is the mosaic law not God's moral laws and our Lord Jesus teachings.
We are still to follow the moral laws, and to follow and obey our Lord Jesus teachings to be counted as one of His sheep.
Lord Jesus makes this clear, and the epistles of the NT confirm this.

If the Lord tells you, you have to do this or that and you refuse or do not do as if it does not apply then you are denying Him. He clearly states that if you deny Him, He will deny you.

Jesus does say He could snatch us up at anytime, to stay watchful, spotless, and blameless. The only way we can do this is through the gift of the Holy Spirit. God forbid he die, but maybe everything " he worked for " be smashed to pieces, so Christ can build him back up. Lay your life down so Jesus can raise you up, there's no work YOU or I can do to earn salvation.

Yes, but the bible also says that some will deny the Holy Spirits guidance and direction and keep following their own desires, and/or also turn back away from the Lord to follow those desires again. It then goes to say that their ending will be worse then their initial because they know the truth but continue to deny it, or turn back from it and walk back in their own desires.

The Holy Spirit does not control us, it guides us, and it is up to us as individuals to accept that guidance. There are so many scriptures that speak about how to walk properly as a child of the Lord our God. We can not walk it perfectly, but that is why it says HE knows our heart. Because if we truly love Him with all our heart, soul, and mind we will want try and walk the proper path, and show the love He gave to us to others.

He makes it clear we are not to hide our faith, but be open about it. Do not hide your light in front of others as He said.

True, and I agree, and I've said the same thing a few post back here I think... What does that have to do about doing works to get His Spirit though ?

Jesus says that even if you know Him, but do not obey Him you are not saved. Just like He said in Luke 13:3 unless you repent of your sins you will parish, then He also put baptism and being saved in the same standing in Mark 16:16.
He also said to confess Him before men, or He will deny you before the Father in heaven. In other words not hiding your belief and love in Him.

FAITH+WORKS saves YOU <---FALSE GOSPEL condemned by the BOOK of GALATIANS = LOST and on your way to hell!

This is the quote I was referring to in which saying that Galatians is against faith + works saves.
Galatians refers to the mosaic law, that by obeying it, it will not save you.
Following God's moral laws, and doing as the Lord Jesus commanded does save you.

If you do not follow and do His teachings, He makes it clear that you are not one of His sheep. Meaning not saved, for you have to be a sheep to be saved.

It does not, no works are needed accept for the believing in Him as your Lord and Savior.
Now from there you are to accept the Holy Spirit's guidance that is given to you, or you can deny it.
Being saved by receiving the gift of salvation by our Lord still depends on rather you obey and follow what He taught.
If you do not obey or follow His teachings then you are not a sheep and salvation is not yours, but the good news is you can always turn to follow Him at any time and He will accept you no matter what you have done as long as you come in repentance of those sins.

Ok, I agree with all of this, again like Peter... If we keep our eyes on Jesus we can do miracles, the second we turn back or " take our eyes off Him " we could drown.. That's what's being said here, but through the gifts, we have fruits of the Spirit, these fruits will help us with work, agree?

The bible makes it clear that the works of the mosaic law does not save.
The Pharisees taught the law, but they themselves did not follow it and also perverted it.
Jesus makes it clear when He taught to do as they say about teaching the laws, but do not do as they do which was pervert it.
They were responsible for teaching the moral aspects of the law to the Jews, but did not follow it themselves and even added more to it then needed to make things harder on others.

Jesus then made a point that the moral teachings of the law, knowing what is right to do from what is wrong to do still apply to us today. He did not do away with or abolish the moral teachings from the OT.
The bible makes it clear it was the written ordinances of the mosaic law that was done away with, such as what we can and cannot eat, the punishments for certain sins like stoning to death for adultery. The cleansing rituals, and so on and so on.

Knowing that you are not to murder, steal, lie, commit adultery, fornication, homosexuality, and so on. And those who do such things and do not repent of them, and turn away from doing such things has no part in the kingdom of heaven as the scriptures say.

We are commanded by our Lord to repent, confess, baptized, and to go out and make disciples out of those who are not following Him yet. We are also told to love Him with all our heart, soul, and mind, love our neighbors as ourselves, and even love our enemies.

And He says if you do not follow my commandments you are not my sheep.

My point was that some are so stuck in their ways that they refuse to follow the Holy Spirit guidance because it would have them stop doing things that they desire and like to keep doing. I hear everything you say brother, the scripture says repentance and remission of sins should be preached throughout the earth...and the scripture teaches us that we must repent and be baptised for the remission of sins ...and we shall receive the HS...(shall indicating the receiving happening in the future) ...now we know God in some cases gave the HS prior to baptism.but acts 28 seems to be the rule of thumb since it is associated with the promise....The scripture also teaches baptism is the actual union with Christ..Since if Christ is not present with us in baptism there can be no death in him, no burial with him and no resurrection with him therefore no walking in newness of life....
Romans 6:4
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Colossians 2:12
Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

it seems to me the scriptures teach that we were chosen and preordained in Him long before we became aware, by hearing the word and believing, and were purposed for good and obedient work untold ages before we ever knew there was a thing to be done.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.
(Ephesians 1:3-6)

such that it is not of our doing, but by God's mercy, that we have been adopted as little children.
when His voice was in my ear, telling me it was fitting that i should be baptized also with H[SUB]2[/SUB]O before men, was He not already with me? wasn't i already in Him when i first entered the light of His Truth?

or did He choose an empty placeholder and wait to see if anyone would fill it? is not this the same God who has known the end since the beginning?

i love Him, who is like Him!!!??

these straw people who wear the name of Christ but have no heart toward His righteousness and want only to go about sinning continually without remorse or repentance,

i'm sure a great number of them have been baptized in H[SUB]2[/SUB]O.
i doubt however that a single one is immersed in Christ.
