Introverted homebody here. To the point that I have actually set a goal of getting out of the house every day. And my response to the maintenance guy who kept asking if I was going to visit a boyfriend (no matter how many times I told him I didn't have one) whenever he saw me leaving the building (oh the joys of living in a communal culture) became, I don't need a boyfriend I have a computer (later it became a joke that my computer is my boyfriend (and now that I have two computers I'm cheating on my boyfriend I guess)).

Conversely I'm pretty open about inviting people over for tea or coffee and a movie or game of cards, but yes I prefer to hang out in my house and my books, computer, and roomie keep me company when no one else is around.

Trying to loose weight so I look for big stores to walk around in and will pick up items I need or not while shopping/walking.

Got out of the house the other day and went out to the beach as it is nice to sit on a blanket on the sand and look out at the water and watch and listen to the waves coming in. Nice to get my feet wet in the water that is now trying to turn cold.

Love to go to thrift stores and see if I can find treasures.....I once found a gravy boat for 2 or 3 dollars after many years of use found out it was worth between $65.00-$75.00 to try and replace it as it was a Russell Wright piece. The yard sale I was at said they would sell the one piece for $100.00.... I walked away sad that this piece had slipped out of my hands and broke one Thanksgiving Day a few years ago.... You never know what you will find at a thrift store.... I just liked the look and shape of it and at the time did not know I had found such a treasure....lol

Hmm, Good question. (Thank you for starting the thread. I had left for church after posting my reply.:p)

It depends on my mood, really. Here are some places -

1) If I want a quiet walk, I head down to the beach. Beaches in populated cities are not clean and they are picturesque. But it is still a beach. I just sit on the benches by the seashore or I take a walk along the coastline. It is very beautiful to take a walk after sunset with the waves keeping you company.

2) My favourite restaurants - I have a list of places that are 'cosy' for me to spend my time alone. I go there, read a book and have some good food.

3) The gym - (Does this count?)

4) A long drive along the sea coast to a town about 60 miles away. I go there to eat at a restaurant that is right near the sea coast. It is beautiful and they serve very tasty seafood. The drive is also good and you can cruise along at 60-80mph.

5) A lounge bar if I wanna sip some refreshing drink while chillin' out.

These are my favourite places.

How about everybody else's? :)

at home..at home..did I mention at home? lol :) I'm pretty much an introverted homebody. I don't go anywhere unless I absolutely have to. Being out in public makes me very uncomfortable.

#1. My best friend's couch... the Netflix movies are free and so is the food. I'm so glad he gave me the alarm code to his house, LOLz.
(this is not a joke answer)

#2 Going for a walk downtown is pretty good.
#3 The Lake! (better when I borrow a boat, or a boat owner invites me.)
#4 Taking the kids to the park and just sitting and watching them play. (This used to be a solitary thing, but my GF has started taking note of when we go and shows up with her son to play with my two.)
#5 Any Natural Setting.
#6 Where ever my friends are at. If I feel like company, then it's not about the where, but the who.

I'm in recovery so I don't hang out in bars. I don't do caffeine, so I don't hang out in coffee/tea houses (but if it means hanging with my friends, I will do this one).

I thought home was a given. I'm perfectly fine staying at home much of the time.

I live in a small town. There aren't a lot of places to hang out. So yeah, I'll be at home.

Notice I mentioned: 'out there', you introverts! ;)

I mentioned this elsewhere, but I made a promise to myself to get out more and check out music venues. Cus I am unhappy where I am at. During confession a few weekends ago, I confessed to God that I feel that I've been wasting my life away. I'm often bored, but I talk myself out of just about everything new.

But my regular 'hang outs' in society:
-Coffee Shops (I feel more comfortable in Starbucks, but I am trying to go to new ones more)
-Malls (I rather shop alone)
-Restaurants (This is slightly awkward, especially at first, but I got frustrated when I was craving something and no one wanted to go)

And krispy kremes over tim hortons. :p

But in this small town there is no "out there" for me to hang out at. We haven't a single coffee shop, believe it or not.

Yeah I don't like Timmies, plus it's own by an American anyways, so.... Canadians don't need to be so uppity about being patriotic about it XD Yeah football sucks. Don't watch hockey much tho.

Sometimes I like to get away and go to the river. There are some very good bike and equestrian trails, but also good for just walking and enjoying nature.

Sometimes I like to catch live music or karaoke at various places - this is Fox & Goose. They have a pretty cool open mic Monday, and I don't go there often enough.

I also am very comfortable going to see a movie by myself.

Places I go all by myself to hang out? Hmmm. The gym is about it as far as that goes. I often go shopping alone between gigs when I'm in the city. I'll see movies or have lunch, but always with friends or family.

Places I used to hang out...

The beach - boogieboarding, biking, running
The canyons - mountain biking, hiking (but mostly mt biking)
The movies
The malls - especially the food courts!
The airport - there's these two spots at LAX where you can watch the planes take off and land and its my favorite hang out (I still go there once a month or so)

I love to shop alone, especially bookstores.
Riding my bike in the countryside or running with my dog.
