We are dead to the world and living in Spirit.

Do you guys really believe there will literally be 12000 from every tribe and 144000 of people saved in total? Exact numbers with not one less or more?

I used to think like this too. But then I thought, do you know how many billions of people lived on Earth since the beginning? That would make Jesus truly a poor savior if only 144000 gets saved. More than that died as martyrs for the cause of Christ. Are you sure you will fit into that 144000? Just a food for thought.

The book of Revelations clears this up.
The 144,000 are from the twelve Jewish tribes, the chosen elect.
But now if you on down in that chapter it talks about a great multitude of people that nobody could number that have been saved....Those who teach the 144,000 are the total number of everybody saved don't read the scripture properly.

Do you believe that the Lord can do this thing if He chooses?

He can ..... and He already knows every one of the 144000 in advance

Let me ask you a question .... is the Bible His Word?

12Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
yes, he can physically come against us (although the above passage has not happened yet) But his power over the gospel and Christ is CRUSHED. He was disarmed completely.

Col 2: [SUP]4 [/SUP]having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. [SUP]15 [/SUP]Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

Galatians 3:26-29 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond or free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's then are ye Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise.
yes, in the spiritual sense.

That is NOT the topic of this thread, The topic is the physical promises given to Israel.

the question is.

does the physical promises made to Israel still exist... or

Has the physical promises to Israel been given to the church (replacement theology)

remember, these were eternal promises. so if they stopped. God lied.

I think you missed the point.

these are 144000 missionaries. not just the only ones saved, out of which many will get saved by their testimony.

there are also two witnesses who will be killed, and rise again.

and all the people who willingly give their life (martyres) for Christ.

the testimony of these people will cause they greatest revival in human history I believe. millions will get saved,

Replacement theology is dangerous and false.
My son even told me how his grandpa's church teaches replacement theology so far off that they even replace the holy land promise of Israel to now being America.
Israel is still the promise land, we have just been grafted in to lead the Jews to jealousy over how now we the gentiles now can worship God to and have salvation through our Lord. That jealousy leading them to hatred and then sorrow when they see finally that Jesus was the prophesied Messiah.

Soulweaver was pointing out I believe that their are some who actually go around saying only 144,000 total will be saved, Jew and gentile together. This is just the elect chosen and sealed out of the Jewish tribes, there is a great multitude this same chapter talks about from the rest of the people Jew or gentile that also will have salvation.

Romans 11:26-32 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

the only people that did that were the JW's, and they have since changed their stance, since they lost alot of people because people realised more than 14400 have had to have already been saved, so they would have no hope.

has not happened, are you sure?

Colossians 2:14-15
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
I would say that Satan "struck Christ's heel" through his crucifixion BUT He rose from the dead and that is what spoiled principalities and powers and triumphed over them - they [principalities and powers] did not believe he would rise or else they wouldn't have had him crucified. [HaHa - LOOK - you couldn't keep me down! and NOW I am IN every believer] Satan will be CRUSHED when he is cast into the lake of fire and brimstone. I see it this way because Corinthians says that he is the "god of this world" and if he is crushed NOW then he couldn't be the "god of this world".

Is that what you see? Of course, my understanding could be off . .

During the Tribulation there will be 12,000 from each tribe of Israel sealed, but continue reading. ..

Revelation 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands.

Verse 9 is commonly overlooked and wild claims about 144,000 being the only ones saved out of the Tribulation. Nice reference here Cross.

That is what i see to, with the more simplified way of putting it is that satan was leading us to spiritual death.
The Lord put a stop to that, and gave us way to escape spiritual death through repentance and coming to Him as our Lord and Savior.

All else satan still has a firm grasp on, and will force his agenda harder and harder as his time gets shorter for the return of our Lord is coming closer to put an end to him.

That in itself would be incentive to quit witnessing :(
(You might get booted out by a bright and upcoming star.)
