My 90 year old aunt can move around better than I can. :( #sad but true story :)
If you had your life the way you want it, you would not be one of His chosen one, becuse those who had their life like the rich in Lazarus parable, enjoyed their life here, receiving earthly comfort...

You are His chosen! Not a simple called or invited, like me.

I know I'm getting old because my knees make more noise than a worn out, squeaky bed.

It's kinda neat...every time I bend them, *creeeeakcraaaack*. It's a pretty good party trick, it horrifies people.

Your new easy chair has more options than your car.

Your little black book only contains names ending in M.D.

You go from hoping for a BMW to hoping for a BM.

You've got a section of clothes in your closet that aren't in style, but rather have come "back into" style because they have been in there for so long.

I must be ancient then... I already like prune juice. But then I can drink a lot of fruit juice in general, or eat a lot of fruit, with no ill effects.

I've come full circle on Raisin Bran. I remember as a kid hating it when my grandmother gave it to me. Then one day I had it and thought "man this is delicious!" Seeing the box with the sunshine with the two scoops at the grocery store speaks right to my stomach these days.

You know you're getting old when............................. the movie "Cocoon" becomes your favorite movie, and you start jumping into every swimming pool you see, in desperate hopes of that movie being at least loosely based on a true story!!!

...When you read the movies listed in the "Movies you never tire of viewing" thread and some you've never heard of, and the ones you have heard of are all old.

Wait... does that mean I'm old, or does that mean I don't watch movies much anymore?

Oh well, it still makes me feel old. Especially when people at work start talking about (insert popular movie here) and I'm totally out of the conversation.

You know you're getting old when you start thinking "rules are meant to be followed" and not "rules are meant to be broken". I think I am losing my charm. <.<

Ok... so this thread was birthed from a conversation I had today with a friend about my arm being out of joint . I was asked "Oh, how did you do that ?!?! " Part of me wanted to lie and say I was boldly fighting ninjas and got put in a death hold or something along those lines, but alas the truth is what he got. I slept on it the wrong way. Yep , that's it... nothing more exciting. I thought to myself " darn... you know you're getting old when you can dislocate a limb in your sleep."

Have any of you guys had one of these moments ? If so please share so I'm not alone . Lol
Haven't dislocated a limb while sleeping but I have had mornings where, as I'm getting up, I immediately feel a throbbing in my shoulder as I move my arm in a particular direction. Possibly from sleeping in a weird position. It usually hurts the whole day & sometimes into part of the next day. The shoulder seems to have gotten more touchy in recent years.

I recently started jogging as I was advised vigorous exercise would be good for me. The first time I went jogging, I started feeling "the burn" after what was probably 15 or 20 steps. Couldn't believe it. I expected far better endurance. I managed two laps around the block but had soar leg muscles for 2 days. Subsequent jogs have yielded slightly better results. I seem to get a bit farther each time before "the burn" comes and I don't experience muscle pain in my legs the next day anymore. I'm doing between 2 and 3 laps around the block and it takes 11:15 for 2 laps.

When I got started, I really thought I'd be able to run like I could when I was 20.
N E W S F L A S H for me: You're not 20 anymore.

Depends on the rules. Some are still better broken.

But... that's what I thought when I was a kid too. "What do you MEAN don't play in the street? Have you tried riding a bike in the yard? It's way easier on a stretch of asphalt."

You have a party and the neighbors don't even realize it.

You try to straighten out the wrinkles in your socks and discover you aren't wearing any.

You light the candles on your birthday cake and a group of campers form a circle and start singing Kumbaya
.
