GUYZ. I HAVE A JOB INTERVIEW. It's seasonal, BUT I MIGHT HAVE A JOB. I'm going to be interviewed tomorrow at 3 pm. I'm really excited. I'm not so excited to more than likely be working on Black Friday, but hey, I'm okay with that! There's always next year to try and go BF (Black Friday) shopping for the first time. I've been hoping and praying for a job, and I might have one now. I just hope and pray if I get it, I don't mess up. Hopefully I can work my butt off and make it become, well, not seasonal.

Well, I guess I got a dentist appointment December 10th. Lovely. -_- As I told you guys...I hate the dentist. Urgh. I'm sure they're not bad people, but REALLY DO NOT LIKE what they do for a living.

MissChris: Oooooh, pretty! We never see anything like that here.

Fenner: Move down here. I don't even know if they sell snow shovels anywhere around here. I've never had to buy one.

Sitting here trying to prioritize things...

In my head, I know what's most important. In my heart, I know what ought to come first. But getting those things to be at the top of my list, physically, in a tangible manner...

Why is that so difficult?

When I break it down, on paper, and look at where I put the bulk of my time and energy...it's not good. It's not what I know needs to be first, second, third...and I struggle with really knowing how to change it. Sure, it sounds easy- just do it, change it, just simply start putting the important things ahead of everything else, why is that such a big deal?

I think that's maybe the real issue here- why I avoid doing what I know is right, why I feel such an aversion to switching my priorities around.

On a completely unrelated note, it's time to figure out where to put more Christmas decorations. My husband used to make fun of me (not in a mean way) for being so into Christmas. But this year, he's so happy me and the kids are home, he keeps surprising me with new Christmas decorations when he comes home from work, and saying how sorry he is that he made fun of me before.

Which leads me to another topic...forgiveness. Only through Christ could I have come this far, as far as forgiving my husband...and myself. Things I thought I would never get over, I find myself rarely thinking of, and when I do, it's more as though I'm looking through a window at someone else's life; I feel sad, remembering, but it doesn't affect me, doesn't fill me with anger like it used to.

I don't usually get all gushy about spiritual stuff (which, I mean, there's nothing wrong with that, it's just not how I am), but it's hard not to when I can see so clearly what God's done for me and my family. It's beyond amazing, and I'm grateful.

Anyway...right, time to Christmasize the place.

"Do you wanna build a snowman..." The girls at work sing that song all the time.

Just made some dark chocolate hazelnut brownies, loosely based on my favorite brownie recipe. This could be a total disaster...or the best idea I've had in weeks.

We shall see.

It's raining, it's pouring,
The old man is snoring,
He jumped into bed
And bumped his head,
And couldn't get up in the morning.

WHAT.

Dark chocolate and hazelnut are my favorite.

I may be over at your house in a few minutes.

I found a dog on Craigslist and had been emailing back and forth with the owner. They had multiple people interested in her, but they liked me the most, said I seemed to be someone who would actually care for her. They were even willing to wait a few more weeks until I move into my dog-friendly house. We decided I should meet her first to make sure.

She is such a doll. She's a 5 month old Border Collie/St. Bernard mix. She's got the coloring of a St. Bernard but her body type is more like the Border Collie. She was very shy but I have no doubt that I can coax her out of her shell. She's not really trained on anything (not fully potty trained, not leash trained, etc.) so I think I will have my hands full, but I am excited. December 1st is the tentative take-home day. I am going to name her Lily.

Pictures will come when I actually have her. :)
