Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law. Love is the law, love under will.

This is the verse that meant the most to me as I was a member of the occult group "
ordo templi orientis". I am struggling to find a verse in the bible that gives me the same satisfaction as this. I am currently feeling about coming back to christianity and need some encouragement.

So, please leave you favourite holy verses in the comments below so that I may find some encouragement.

Thanks and 93s to you all.

Based on the OP, it doesn't seem a matter of holy verses perse, all God's word holy. More aptly, with your motto, you need to seriously consider what is intelligent, if you're really who you say you are, you know what a sin stupidity is. Ask yourself if it's really worth jacking around with life and pleasing yourself for a short time, versus eternity,

Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

You say you are "feeling like coming back to Christianity". Ask your self...why? I'm not trying to discourage you but encourage you. What is drawing you back to Christianity? Is it a feeling or do you feel God's tug on your heart?

If it truly is God's tug on your heart don't just look for one verse to encourage you. Look to the Gospel of truth...the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Picking one verse is kinda dangerous as you could end up with a pick and choose theology.

Try this...read the book of John. Just read straight through (doesn't have to be in one sitting). Then read the book of John again but this time slower and write down questions you might have.

After you write down your questions ask them one at a time with someone (or ask them here one at a time) until you understand the answer. Do not move to the next question until you have answered the previous question.

I have a saying "there are no dumb questions, only those not asked". My grandmother had a saying that relates to this..."you should never be lost if you have a mouth that works".

By asking questions you have about the book of John you will end up all through the Bible with answers. (Kinda neat way to study all through Scripture by questions from one Gospel).

There are so many people here who would be more than willing to help you grow closer to Christ. Me personally I would be way excited to help and encourage you along your way. So much as that you could PM me any time and I would be way more than willing to answer.

Now I don't know nicee but I am way sure Jesusisall feels the same as I do about this. I also know some others who could help guide you.

I pray God is touching your heart and you are really wanting and nervous about finding the truth in Christ.

Jesus says "I am the way and the truth and the life Noone comes to the Father but through me". John 14:6

I am very excited about you if you really want to find the truth. I will be waiting in anticipation to hear from you or to see your first question posted in the forums.

I would like to get a PM from you to start this off so the Holy Spirit can start working in your life. I pray if you are serious that the Holy Spirit would use at least me to help guide you as I couldn't do this without the help of the Holy Spirit.

1 cor 10:13 had helped me for many years. May it serve you as well. 13 There hath no temptation taken hold of you but such as is common to man. But God is faithful; He will not suffer you to be tempted beyond that which ye are able to bear, but with the temptation will also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe!

Psalms 23:1-4 1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

I agree with this Brother on what's quoted here. You've quoted Aleister Crowley. I imagine you must know that.
You need more than just one verse. You need one-on-one with a man of God that knows exactly what you 'were' into and is wise enough to know if you've come out.
If you have a New Testament - just start reading it and watch what you post here. Not every young person knows where you're coming from when you post on different topics. They may 'think' you're a Christian on some of the other threads that you've posted on. God takes protecting His lambs very seriously and if you're truly serious, He will protect you as well and lead you to the help that you need.

This is 'holy' in reverse. ..

Luke 5:8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

Aleister Crowley Is Dead!

And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
