I think you missed my point. And please do nto take me wrong, I am not angry or mad at you. just disagreeing with you
if a person is not saved, and is a homosexual. I am not going to win him to God by judging his sin of homosexuality. If anything, if I try to judge him, I will turn him off. He has no capacity to change anyway, All I have to do is convince him he is a sinner, and thus in need of God. I can do that without offending him.
Now after he gets saved (if he does) God (and I with the help of God) can help to disciple him and help him with this sin and all his other sins.
As for churhces outwardly teaching against personal sin. If there is always alot of unbelievers in that church, I would disagree. to be honest, I doubt there would be many unbelievers in that church,) they should act like Christ, Who did not come to judge, but came to save. It is one thing to discuss sin in a bible study of believing brothers and sisters. but to just teach hellfire and brimestone is not going to win anyone to the Lord (I grew up in a church that did that, and never saw growth, just steady decline. a church that does not replacate will be a failing church)
