Injustice....Robert Mccallan ( prosecutor ) or however you say his name was on CNN and was asked a question about video evidence of the shots. He said there was no video evidence of the final shots, only audio evidence.

I would ask what happened to the cell phone video's of the incident that were talked about ?

the cell phone videos? i have no idea if they were even taken but i think a prosecutor would be putting himself in a very dangerous position if he withheld evidence in a high profile case

How are we judges, we do not see all the evidence. This is as bad as the looters.

Well there was at least two that I know of that was talked about all over the news. One of them was from a woman who always appeared on every news cast, and talk show she was on with her lawyer present. Her story never changed in each interview, and she said she caught the whole thing on her phone.
Now though on CNN the prosecutor answered a question saying there was no video evidence of the shooting, only audio.
Where did that video cell phone evidence go ???

somewhat justice. the cop was being attacked, but probably acted in anger to shoot the young man to death.but the violence after wards is pitiful and sad.

Unless I was to see all of the evidence I don't feel like I am able to make a clear decision on justice or injustice.

From what's been presented to me I feel like justice was probably served. The only thing I am questioning is IF the video of the shooting exists. If it truly does that could change everything.

I feel like Wilson did feel like he was in a fight for his life. Even though his injuries didn't look to be serious or life threatening I don't feel like its unrealistic that he felt like he was in danger. I think its extremely unfortunate that there is a young man dead, a mother/father without a son, and another man and his family who's life has been completely changed. I believe in many ways we're looking over the fact that a MAN, not a black man, a MAN is dead.

The media has focused so much on this being a WHITE COP shooting a BLACK MAN that its like we're dehumanizing the death of this young man.

Seems to me that people are treating this as a soap opera and a t as if they should know more than those involved. of course some people thrive off this type of drama. Which is sad. I for one am no judge nor in a grand jury. I'm not qualified to decide if the judgement was just or not.

I think justice was done, but as stated we dont have all the evidence. But the jury did so I trust them to do their job.The problem is the news media has these cases sewn up and judged before it ever goes to court.Public opinion, without facts, are judging these cases now.Thats not up to us,thats what the law is for.

i remember reading that someone "inadvertently" captured audio of shots fired. i haven't been digging onto the details but from that i assumed that the audio either came from the background of a recorded 911 call, for example, or that a phone's camera wasn't pointed at the scene when it recorded the sound.

here -- someone nearby was using a face-to-face video chat app on their phone, and that's what picked up the noise of the shots. it wasn't a video being taken of the scene.

and to OP -- i'm with the crowd saying "i haven't seen all the evidence that the grand jury saw, so i am not at all qualified to say whether they made the right decision or not"

Why don't she present the videos. I'm sure CNN would pay her for them.

All I know is that for weeks on end they kept talking about cell phone videos of the shootings on different news programs and talk shows, and the girl who took the video always had her lawyer with her. Now according to the prosecutor there is no videos of the shooting.
She can not present what she does not have, she mentioned that when she came forward with the video the cops confiscated her phone as evidence.

I just wonder how much money she and the lawyer made from the tv shows?

Depends on your definition of justice does it not? All the evidence in the possession of the DA was presented to the Grand Jury, and he was criticized for that......imagine if he had withheld some of the evidence/witnesses......

Some will say "justice" would only be served if the cop was charged with murder.......is that justice if there was not evidence that he had committed murder?

I have no idea if he acted in accordance with Police Procedure and legally or not, as others, I have not read all the evidence given to the GJ and is now available on the internet for anyone to review.......

Now, back to "justice," the DA and Police investigated the incident, gathered all the evidence and witness testimony they could and presented it to a Grand Jury for "the people" to determine if this cop should be prosecuted for a criminal offense.

That is HOW our "justice" system works.............so, was justice served?

i haven't heard anything about that. whenever stuff like this comes on the news i don't watch it.
if the police had a video on a confiscated phone and buried it, heck yeah, that's wrong.

Injustice or Justice??

It's nothing. No court trial, no charges.

You can't say justice was served, when there was no trial. There wasn't even an attempt to serve justice.
