what are your views on being healed with stones and crystals. The women that do it tell me that its science and not considered magic or evil, but it seems like a scary thing to mess with. They even told me it was ok to be a christian and use their stones that help you channel psychic visions.

I would stay away. Anyone can use the name of Jesus and say it is ok to do. I would not go near them. It reminds me of psychic healers.. I knew a lady who thought she was doing this and had to have the church folks pray for her and council her
back to what was right. It is a way the enemy gets us to focus on spiritualism instead of walking in the spirit of Jesus.

This is only my opinion and what i have seen

I agree with the posters, to look on crystals as a sort of magic can go into the occult.

But still, I think there is wonder in jewels. God must think so also because He had jewels put in the breastplate of the high priest that were used to show people something of what Christ would be like. Looking at them is something like standing on a cliff above the Grand Canyon that is part of the gorgeous world the Lord has made, they have such beauty. I can never see the lights reflected in my diamond engagement ring without praising the Lord.

It isn't magic, and it most certainly isn't science. It's charlatans that want your money, your attention, or both.

Crystals are used in New Age and Eastern medicine and their religions. It is an occult based practice. I hope none of the people telling you it's ok to do as a Christian is actually a Christian themselves (or claiming to be).
As proof 'channeling your psychic visions' is proof of the occult ties this practice carries. Visions come from one of two places, God or Satan. And Gods visions are never referred to as 'psychic'. Psychics are actually spoken against in the bible.
If you're going to believe in crystals you may as well believe in astrology, numerology, tarot cards, crystal balls, seances, etc..

Much of the time, yes, but not always.

That is the red flag that tells you to run, not walk, away from these people.

Wouldn't it be a lot more like Jesus to consider these people foolish and misinformed? The truth makes us free, it doesn't cause excessive reactions to what isn't truth. We can stand our ground in the world, strong in the Lord even amid what isn't of God.

I am able to take great pleasure in seeing crystals like my diamond engagement ring, knowing the Lord created it. How the occult sees crystals is not part of my life or part of the pleasure I have in seeing the beauty the Lord creates. I could choose to see only the occult in what God created, it would be a distortion of a crystal.

I believe the question was should this person be listening and taking advice from people who channel things thru their crystals. That answer is NO. Do not listen to them.

Should this person witness and offer correction to these crystal lovers? Absolutely

You I'm not worried about. You know your diamond ring is just that and not an object to be idolized or 'used' for psychic whatevers. I wouldn't tell anyone to run from you because you have you discernments straight. These crystal proponents don't, and that is why one should not keep their company other than to offer truth and correction.

Here's an entertaining and fairly educational video on the subject, actually. Saw it a while back. It just came to mind.

It is blatantly wrong. It denies the Lord Jesus and His divinity. It's denies the Holy Spirit and His almighty power. It's implies that the trust in the Lord Jesus isn't enough.

Pray and worship. That is something those people are missing and it ain't no secret. Prayer and worship is very powerful indeed. Treat it as when a Catholic treats the cross and the rosary like it's got some mystical eagle powers.

I have a minor in minerology, am an avid "rockhound", love making jewelry from collected gemstones. Not much time for any of that these days. I was part owner of a quartz crystal mine several years. Most of it was white cloudy quartz we sold for crushing into sand for making quartz wire. I dug a few tons of beautiful clear perfect crystals mostly for sale to rock shops, some for my collection. I have never felt anything special handling them hours a day for days in a row until my hands split open from the sharp edges. Special effects like psychic events are wild imaginations. There is one scientific attribute that is fascinating. When put under pressure just right a cut crystal will generate piezoelectric current. It takes a lot of pressure, so that won't occur from wearing one. The mine we dug out was started in WW2 by U.S. Marines tasked to produce lots of large clear crystals to be sawn into chips. Those chips were used to make radio oscillators, commonly called "frequency crystals". The government abandoned the mines when a way was discovered to grind quatrz into powder, then make perfect crystals for radios.

There is no real value in seeking healing from quartz. Being surrounded by the stuff for many years ought to have made me a superman if it could. That is a cult type distraction, and a lot of money has changed hands in those religions. However, crystals can be cut like a diamond and worn for it's beauty without fear of something weird happening.

It is not science in any way, it is pseudo-science and it is New Age and dangerous. Just leave it alone. :)
And definitely do not use anything that allows you to channel "psychic visions".

I really believe that if a Christian is not prepared to stay put and give a reason for the hope of Christ in us, then go prepare, then give that reason to them. We ought not be running away. I have dealt twith a few hundred "Crystal People" who sought me out to buy quartz direct. They will find a certain quality and peculiarity, then find their way to the source. That gave me opportunities to tell them about Jesus often the first time they ever heard of Jesus. Lots of them are OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) and out running loose living on neglected properties, joined up in large camps on government lands, lost. They are a lot like witch camps, very deceived. But they love hearing new ideas, like the scholars at Mars Hill listened to Paul preach about the "Unknown God" in their temple. I was never hurt preaching to such people. I don't recall any one of them becoming Christian, but whenever I did run into one, they tended to remember me and welcome me as a friend that cared. I'll add that had such folks rejected my offers of Christ, demean the gospel, of course I'd just leave and not bother them again. There is however a chance they will listen enough to be saved. Make that all kinds of sinners. God will let you know when to take the gospel somewhere else.

These people should indeed be witnessed to. I'm just not sure a believer who has to question this in the first place is the right one for the job. Like you said, they need to be prepared. And someone who doesn't know about this isn't prepared. Too, there's a difference between being hospitable, friendly, and witnessing, and 'keeping company' or seeking leading. So if I may modify this then,

If you're prepared, then show them their error. If you have to ask, the answer is run.

Nice posts Swordsman. You show wisdom and discernment on both counts. Do it again and I'll have to Rep you! :)

17 replys and no one said do you have a something that needs healing. Not one said have you prayed and asked God to heal you.

Do you think she might need prayer anyone?

I know a guy who heals Hes caleed Jesus. Anyone here of Him?

His Father is called Jehovah Rapha. Know what that name means. It means God who heals. Man who would believe that a God who heals?

A few gave glory to satans power and how dangerous it is. to go near that stuff, wow scary lol.

Get a grip all that garbage is below a believing son of God. Nothing has dominion over you nothing.

You are a son of the most high. that incudes the ladys.

Before wearing a crystal necklace to ward off colds and other problems, old folks in my youth wore garlic clove necklaces all winter. Such beliefs are always with us, causing a lot of curiosity. The people I've dealt with looking for a one-of-a-kind personal crystal are generally young and healthy, have taken all that to the metaphysical/spiritual realm, hoping the sparkler will focus visions. Notice none asked for prayer here.

I dug the crystals for years, soaked them in acid to remove impurities, ground off imperfections, drilled holes or attached settings for necklaces and other jewlery, and helped folks look for their perfect find at the tables. Sometimes the customers would engage in a conversation with one, then buy it at list price, or buy boxes of them for their club. Eventually I realized I was enabling a cult religion, so quit that pursuit. Unfortuantely thousands of my crystals probably hang around necks, wrists, and on rings and ear rings for reasons other than their natural beauty.
