Well I don't think we will be playing harps and singing 24/7. Though praising and worshiping God will be the most important thing we will do, but Im sure we will be working, and doing stuff like everday things like we do here on earth,.

No sense in trying wonder. It is beyond our imagination. As one poster pointed out 1 Corinthians 2:9 "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."

There are a lot of things I would like to know the answer to that has happened here on earth, but that won't happen either. We won't know our husbands and wives as spouses, so will we recognize other friends and family?

"And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage"

Of a certainty we will have no memory of the pain and suffering. And of course it wouldn't be heaven if we knew our loved ones didn't make it, so that is something we won't have knowledge of.

"For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind."

It is a great mystery, but I'm will find out first hand! :)
 
After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no man could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb!” And all the angels stood round the throne and round the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshipped God,saying, “Amen! I don't care what you call it, but I will be with Jesus, and if he is at the right hand of God, it must be heaven.

I love the thought that when I sing, my voice will be beautiful.
When I play an instrument my fingers will fly and I won't even need written music. It will just come from my spirit.
I will finally be able to express my feelings freely - both verbally and in art form.

To really look at the beauty of creation - the colors and variety in a way I've never seen it.
To know how radiant and magnificent the glory of the Lord is.
To see the rainbow over His throne.

To really be held in His arms.

Free from the very presence of sin. No more temptation nothing to interfere with our fellowship with our Creator God. No hunger, no pain, no night, no sorrow, never tired and never needing to worry about what to wear. Dressed in His righteousness alone, garments white as snow. I hope I look good in white. :P

I want to be a fisher-woman - I love to go fishing so I would like to do a lot of fishing. I also would like to do gardening.

Just yesterday I thought about getting to pet a LION - imagine that!

 
I'd love to be as close to Jesus as possible to be able to enjoy more of His beauty.

@OP: We will likely not sleep because the spirit never sleeps, it is always vigilant.

@Joidevivre I totally like that idea of not having to labor to transfer the music from my head into mp3, just make it get out straight from my head...! But I believe there will also be different raw materials to claim from which we will actually make art!
 
Let your imagination run ..... and this will not even be enough to grasp the subject

And we will be like Him .... immortal and with unbelievable capacities for adventuring into His eternal kingdom

My guess is heaven will be so perfect, we won't need to do things that make us feel good, like watching t.v. or playing games, etc. All of our earthly desires will be gone because we will feel fulfilled in every way. At that point of feeling so good without any effort on our part, we will desire only to do God's will, praise, worship and love Him. I have no idea, though. It's just a guess.

We will be in spirit bodies that can never corrupt. That means we cannot get sick and physical things cannot hurt us. It doesn't mean that our bodies aren't touchable and physical in some way, it just means it holds the soul just like our flesh bodies hold our soul now but in a better body. We will live in a physical world, for the earth is completely rejuvenated at that time. GOD says that we don't have the ability right now in flesh to even imagine what HE has prepared for us, but we can have an idea of what it will be like by what is written. Abraham made a dinner for the angels that came to tell him that Sarah was going to have Isaac. They had lamb and butter and so on. Angels eat and so on and we will be as the angels. Now, the age of flesh is about over, but even though we will be in non corruptible spirit bodies, some will not be immortal. Immortal means liable to die. Those that did not get a chance to know Truth here in the flesh will have their chance in the Millennium. The Millennium is The LORD'S Day. It's a time of teaching. But it is Iron Rod furnace type discipline. There will be joy and there will be tears. When the Millennium is complete, then comes The Great White THRONE judgment. After that, then the eternity begins. In the eternity, there are no more tears. The Millennium is 1000 years long and we are not in flesh bodies so you can imagine how serious those days will be because it takes that long to teach those to take on satan by themselves at that time. The Millennium is all about works. You cannot be saved by grace in the Millennium like you can here. The Millennium is like an Iron Furnace and I want to do my part in pulling as many out of that furnace as I possibly can. GOD will not take anyone that isn't tested and for this time it's by grace that we are saved. But there is a time of deception that is at hand and most don't know Truth. If they don't come to it here, they will go through that iron furnace. It is written that those that make it at the end of the Millennium number as the sands of the sea, it is also written that those that do not make it at the end of the Millennium are numbered as the sands of the sea. If you want to know what happens in the Millennium, just ask. But for now, this is what GOD says about what is in store for those that love HIM:

1Co 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

But remember, JESUS says that HIS sheep know HIS voice. If you don't know HIS voice than how can you know HIM? JESUS said 'Behold, I have foretold you ALL things'. When did JESUS foretell us all things? It's The WORD! The Bible! The WORD became flesh. So, how can you love someone you don't know? Well, if you know The WORD, then you know HIM. You know HIS voice! The first warning that JESUS gives for the end time is to take heed because many will come in HIS name and the purpose is deception. That is going on right now, although it will get much worse. If someone is deceived, they will not hear JESUS voice, therefore they will not know HIM. And if they don't know HIM, how can they love HIM?

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The idea of not needing to sleep sounds nice. I suppose that we won't sleep. But while I'm here, I must bare it. I do feel better after a good nights sleep, but I often wish that it was not required/necessary.

We are talking about heaven...right? I would find it rather troubling to arrive in heaven and find a pile of dirty dishes:(. Although, I might have to do some because of the number of dishes that I have avoiding doing here.

Even as an atheist I've wondered what Christians think they will be doing in Heaven. Correct me if I am wrong, but in one of Paul's letters doesn't he respond by saying, "That's a stupid question!"

Personally I think it is a good question to ask, and interestingly the Bible seems to offer few clues. Maybe this is because none of the biblical writers could imagine what daily life in Heaven would be like. What will it be like for those Christians who remarry after the death of a spouse? Which spouse will they live with? I know my mother-in-law has wondered this as she has outlived three husbands. Maybe this is why the Bible seems to discourage remarriage?

I have a lot of other questions about Heaven, as you do. Maybe we will meet some folks who think they know the answers.
