I have just recently moved and currently going to an 7th day adventist school. I have been told consantly to worship on the sabbath (sundown friday untill sundown saturday), but i worship on sunday. is it important on what day i should worship, does God care which day I pick? Or should it strictly be on the sunday/sabbath. I'd appreciate it if some one could shine a light on this topic :)

(if you have some other questions about 7th day adventists i could fill you in abit)

Well quite frankly, they're wrong. Any day is fine.

Well, I understand the 'arugment.' However, worship is ascribing 'worth ship' to someone/something. Therefore, ALL the time is the right time.

Romans 14:5
One man esteemeth one day above another; another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

Amen. Everything we do is an act of worship, what we have to ask ourselves is to whom or what are we giving our worship. I dare to say even how we perform our job function or how well we do in school can be considered worship on some level depending on where are our heart is.

Why do we do the things we do? Are we doing whatever it is we are doing with God first in our hearts and others second before ourselves or are motives selfish? Please don't think I'm being lealistic however, I truly believe these are questions we as believers must ask ourselves if our desire is to truly live in the image of Christ.

there is a sabbath day, that being saturday but your question seem a bit awry because if we should worship on one particular day. prayer and a host of other things should be done daily and these things are worship. Christ went to the synagogue on the sabbath day but also other days too, but always on the sabbath day.

You worship God in everything you say and do. How you treat people, how you treat yourself etc... Worshipping God should be a constant thing. No day is wrong or right.

Thanks for all the great replies, I really apreciate it. Even though I was born into a christian family, it seems i've only just started to find out what being a christain means.

Oh been there! I always had the "family relationship" with God. well let me tell you that God wants a personal relationship with you. That was a major step for me. If you ever want to talk, just PM me. God Bless.

I totally agree, worship is not just a one day thing. Our act of worship is to be a living sacrifice to the Lord. As said in an earlier post on this thread we should worship God in everything we say and do. Worship is something that should be done every single day of the week, not just one particular set aside day.

All day everyday. Worship is a position of the heart not an hour and a half spent in church.

One can worship any time as long as they do worship.
I am limited by pain, so church is difficult. So I set aside time to worship every night. Praise should be as often as possible.
I am working on the church part. Hopefull that I can get a local church to provide recliners for those that have bad backs and sitting issues.
God bless, pickles

Yeah Pickles,

I had mobility limitations for years. I know christian friends were concerned about the fact that I did not go to church regularly.
But they did not offer to help.
Since I have been more mobile I am going to Church and Bible Study regularly.

To repeat everyone else: worship God daily.
But, keep the Sabbath holy. For the vast majority of Christianity, while the sabbath for the Jews is Saturday, we celebrate it on Sunday because that is the day Christ rose. Keep it holy.

hmmm... thats interesting, because in my school they said people worshipped on the sunday to help split off from the jewish tradition.
