elf, you're welcome. I'm always happy to exercise my ninja drill instructor skillz..lol.. I'd like to thank you also, as well as Ugly and Tintin, who both have put me back into line a few times. We are here to edify, correct, uplift and reprove each other and said correction should always be appreciated and learned from. :)
Very true as sometimes we need a good loving "smack in the face" lol

Yes, .....and other times we just need to be "hit" with the cold harsh truth.;):)
It hurts...but helps.

Yeah but more often than that a smack in the face is totally uncalled for and only deals damage, although people will maintain and pretend that it was a very loving blow to the head and plus claim they have the right to hit you even when they see plainly that they achieve nothing but harm and they still continue. I am malleable the most upon a gentle word and genuine lovingkindness, if tough love could make one more supceptible to God we would still be in the OT.
So I dont believe in tough love except by God. Men in most cases cant really pull it off...
But let us celebrate mercy and grace.

Yes I agree. We have to understand that sometimes we are judged out of ignorance. It's a self righteous ignorance of "I am better than you". In my case I was "smacked" out of love for sure. Those who think they understand God's Word better than others will "judge" without understanding.

Merry Christmas!

As a Christmas gift to you all, I have my songs available on my website to download for free. They are amateur performances at best, and the recordings are rather poor, but I hope they bring you joy.

Your brother in Christ,
Jacob

about Christmas...just threw out the gift wrap; cleaned up the house;
laughed again at the silly things people said and did; wept a little
at the touching moments...

each year the kids name "the best gift of Christmas" and this year it's
a plaque our third born gave her Dad and me that says
"the best things in life are not things".

she gave it to us with a card thanking us for teaching her and her siblings
that life lesson so well...for living it in front of them...
of course, that wasn't Mark and me; that was the Lord's doing.

thank You, Lord Jesus for emptying Yourself of what was rightfully Yours.
thank You for becoming one of us...for taking on human flesh and frailty.
thank You, Father, for sending Your Son to a world that was not only
not crying out to You for help...we were running from You in rebellion.

thank You for the peace we have in You, Jesus.
may we be ever mindful! ♥

And yeah that song that Jacob posted was so beautiful, reminded me of some baroque and early music.
