I would never wear a bikini, not just because of the modesty issue but also because I am very self consious and shy when it comes to my appearance. I wouldn't even wear a bikini back when I wasn't a Christian.
This is an issue that we need to be cautious about. We don't want to go too far one way (burkas!!!) but we also don't want to cause our fellow brothers in Christ to stumble. A nice looking one-piece is a good in-between. Or at least if you're going to wear a bikini don't wear one that's so small it's barely visible! However looking at it from another POV there are also some areas where it is very hot and people as a whole tend to wear less because of the heat and because of their culture. So there could be some cultural differences there also.

Agreed 100%, but I jumped on it because there are many[not the poster] that preach women are the reason men lust, and I just wanted to state the truth.

we raised 5 daughters to be mindful of modesty, and to have a care for another's spiritual well being.
there are a group of us old ladies at church who gently remind the new young women there
to think of that when dressing for church...

You are stating you are powerless over things and that is so against the Bible it is not even funny. I know full well people are different and I also know that most self professing Christians are lazy when it comes to walking in the victory Jesus won for them. Including lust and perverse spirits

I know for a fact and have seen people overcome things, including lust. If you cannot control the lust you avhe take it up with God, but don't take the easy road and say you are powerless over it because a women wore a see through top.

it certainly is refreshing to know there are men willing and able to be responsible for themselves.

To be clear I believe women should dress modestly and I do not condone bikini's or other immodest clothing for women. I also thank women who do what you said. I also do not believe women should dress immodestly even if Men have renewed their minds.
But I also believe men have the responsibility to renew their minds on this topic and I think that is the better path.
WHY?
I have seen countless women fo he world come to church dressing, in the only clothes they have, and some brother, including deacons or Sunday school teachers, elders etc, jump all over them for wearing things that cause them to stumble and they never come back...That not Bible, MAN up men and take the responsibility and make yourself accountable if you have issues.
I will also state what a married man and woman decide for themselves only is also not lust or SIN. We had a young couple come to me and my wife for counseling.
WHY?
When they went in for counseling at their former church, to ask if they were in SIN because the wife because wore certain kinds of lingerie and bikini's when around only her husband. She was condemned as a Jezebel spirit even to her husband and the pastor attempted to "deliver" her from the spirit of lust about her.
We told them that they were fine. What she did solely around her husband and only him was not SIN.
